there is no import duty as its under £35 quid Right managed to speak to some miserable sod at HMRC turns out some inept idiot at cutoms cant read and my parcel is marked at $412.88 on there system so im now got find a 'BOR286' form

So how do I try and sort this as both organizations don't seem to wanna know

The label on package has £ 0 for everying just 50.58 in vat Royal mail just said we charge what we're charged and that's how it works Hmrc I can't speak to anyone

any advice or where im going wrong? Royal mail have charged me £50.58 VAT because HMRC charged them it on customs to them which is finend i get it but the item was for a total of $42.88 or in good old british pounds about £28 How can the VAT be more than the item itself shouldnt it be 20% of $42.88 plus handling charge of £8 am i wrong here

Right guys think i should update this its taken months We ended up talking to the main sales manager of the watford branch, Several emails telling our side of the story we got an email saying a driver would be calling to come collect the car. So thats what happened a guy came up dropped off the keys to a 14 plate auris and went in our sr180, 2 and half weeks later we get a phone call car is ready and on its way back. car came back with all the work complete plus extra items which we didn't complain against like a dent in the bumper and a mark on the wing mirror covers. So finally after 5-6 months we have the car we finally bought plus more

i do recall recirc valves being shitty on the 1.9pds but cant really diagnosis over the web, if you can get a known good unit might be worth swapping and trying
