  1. 4k You would be a fool not to! 55k ST spec! The cheapest on pistonheads at the minute is £4750 for that spec but with 79k. Go get it, you'll fall in love with the car.
  2. My wife has been contracting (oil and gas) all her life and wouldn't change a thing, go for it. We have two kids who know nothing different so it doesn't bother them but what they do know is that without her job we wouldn't have what we do and whenever we want anything we get it. Too many stories of people missing out when they could of gone and took a little risk. Your wife has a good job so like us there is always a solid base at home. As for the tax!!!! Get a good accountant and go Ltd Company and it isn't a problem. If in 6 months or even a year down the line you get laid off think how you will feel, go for it. Quality of life is much better when you have money, no worries, can buy whatever, whenever you want. I work in a public office job and the amount of people there who are struggling now is scary so you have to do it, go on you know it!!!!!
  3. The laid back guy you bought it off, or were going to buy it off is all to blame here. On a public road with no tax, insurance and what about MOT? Surely the car has that bad a mysterious past that alarm bells should be sounding now? I'd walk or something else is going to be round the corner. Why has no one registered it? Very strange but I really do hope you get what you want but be careful.
  4. Miles a bit high but full history. An hour and a half on the train from you. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-PEUGEOT- ... 46028b3339
  5. Sorry MC I am going on holiday Sunday for a couple of weeks. Fancy that two zeds at the same doctors at the same time, spooky!
  6. No I was in a van Possibly was as I think it turned up to the one life centre. Dark short hair, glasses. Never seen so many in such a small town, there is a new member on too who looks to be from the South Parade area with an orange roadster.
  7. four in a day in Hartlepool!!! First was SILVER 350 heading out of town on the 689 at about 08.55, second was an ORANGE 350 at the traffic lights with Stockton Road/Park Road at about 09.30, third was an AZURE 350 parked up in a street in the West Park area and then when coming home tonight 16.10ish a WHITE 370 with a private plate starting G- --- coming into Billingham! The 370 was beautiful, didn't see the driver though!

Most of the high powered saloon cars are either used in crime as fast getaway cars or stripped for parts, the expensive and top of the range cars are shipped abroad. The far east, Eastern Europe and even North Africa.

These days the majority of breaks to homes is for the car keys. People don't break into houses for tv's etc that much anymore as you can nick one from a shop and get a shoplifting charge if caught, house breaks for high powered or expensive cars are happening all the time. If someone wants your car they will get it even it meant robbery in your own home, not a lot manufactures can do about it!!!
  10. Was like Florida here last night without the sun after!!!! Floods everywhere yet still people race through the water and wonder why they get stuck. My car is filthy too and I darent wash him in case it just scratches to bits! What is the best way to do it? I've read some of the detailing posts but this is all over the car. As for that GTR, how I feel for that guy he must be devastated.
  11. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z-G ... 4604e3a892 2 hours left, give it a go. They need the cash may go cheap. Good luck.
  12. Have you tried going round or writing to the woman and asking for the repair money? She or whoever is the main insured driver might just feel it will be cheaper that way than losing no claims, court costs etc. Other wise the police will put in an advice file(if it gets passed the police supervisor) to the CPS and in my experience they will say it is not in the publics interest to take to court. Then it would be a civil claim and that could cost.
  13. The best point you need to use is that brush mark! I had a similar problem with my wife's car last year in a public car park where they had stained a fence close to it and ruined the bumper. I tried the criminal damage line but you have to prove intent either towards us or transfered malice if it was towards someone else and we got damaged in the process. Proving they were wreckless is just as hard as you would need someone to say they saw them acting in that way. However how can they say it was accidental if there is a brush mark on your car when it is parked away from the wall??? Looks to me as if someone has noticed a mark and tried to rub it off with a paint brush, also the owner of the courtyard must be bouncing too due to the state of the paving! I'd contact them. That poor civic must look like a dalmation on the nearside!!!!
