  1. Haha! I'd have priests chucking holy water over it if I had 666 on the plate AND a Darwin fish
  2. Going on this theme what do people think of the following; J222 SHC J444 SHC J555 SHC J666 SHC J777 SHC J999 SHC Doesn't look as good as the one above but maybe people think it's better than J666 COD? J666 COD is better, all of the above dont look like Josh This ^^ Oh and then please stick one of those Christian fish things on there too Yeah after looking that those closer I agree with you both! I was actually thinking that, especially given that my parents are both Christians

  4. I put mine on retention a while back when I had some uncertainties about work, money etc. It meant that I could get a rubbish car and when it died throw it away without multiple fees for moving the plate around. My plate is important to me, it was a present from my parents for my 18th, so I didn't want to lose it Yeah that's fair enough, just wish for my sake it wasn't
  5. He can afford it, he's got more money than God.. Owns a major car and truck recovery company. Alright for some aye?! Does anyone know why the plate 'C8 DDY' doesn't seem to be registered on any car but at the same time I can't find it for sale? Surely it's been issued if every other C* DDY is already registered or available? It's probably on a retention certificate. It's owned by someone, just not on a car. Ah I see! That makes sense then! What a selfish ****

  7. Coddy just seems to be my nickname/what friends call me but always used Josh for usernames etc
  8. Not rushing into buying one in cas something else does come up but think I'm goingt o go for J666 COD as I can't find anythin that reads better while still looking a bit different from the regualr style plates. Also cant find any JNC plates with meaningful letter/numbers before it.
  9. That Merc plate is worth A LOT I'd imagine! Any '1' plates seem to be very expensive. Probably more so than the car!
  10. Think I'm just gonna get J666 COD. Personal and looks pretty different/cool!
  11. Cheers, that's that one ruled out then! Narrowed it down to; JO54 COD (Could just look like a regular plate to a stranger though?) J666 COD C9 DDJ Other than those I'm completely stuck! May just get ** JNC
  12. Haha! I'm hopeless at chosing stuff like this, can't dinf the perfect one so I'm not happy with any of them but I still want something!
  13. Thanks for all the suggestions! J054 COD is pretty good but I think I want one of the prefix style one's, looks more obviously personalised I think! Do we agree that C10 DD* looks like CODD or does it looks more like CLODD?
  14. Looking for something towards the cheaper end of the scale. My surname is Codd (no fish jokes please ) so ideally I wanted 'C10 DDY' or 'C8 DDY' but neither seem to be available so I'm now either looking at a few others including these; For about £400 'C10 DDX' 'C10 DDO' 'C6 DDJ' 'C9 DDJ' For £250 'J16 ODD' So a few questions for you all really. Firstly, which of these do you think is best, even if these have to be spaced differently, for example 'C10DD X' or 'J1 6ODD'. Secondly, Does anyone know how strict police are with illegally spaced plates and if they do want to get you for it, what's the fine etc? Finally, does anyone have any better ideas for a plate for 'Josh Codd' or 'Coddy'?? Cheers!
  15. 3rd dibs if they're still around
  16. Not seen that Stillen one before but pretty much the spame thing! Mine cost me just a replacement towing eye though and a favour from a mate with a welder! Maybe I'll get him to make up some tidier versions and charge half of what Stillen are
  17. Don';t know if this has been done before but posted another thread a while back about how to fix a square plate to the front of my Z after I had the badge and number plate holes smoohted out. Didn't want to use the stickers or drill into fresh paint so was ging to use a bracket to come under the front of the bumper but paid a vsit to my mates garage and came up with a much simpler solution. We took the towing eye from the boot, cut off the actual ring on the end and welded a small metal plate to it. Then screwed the number plate into the end of the towing eye/mounting plate and screwed it into the towing eye hole. The beuaty of it is, you can't see where it's mounted and it can easily been taken off any time and the little slot out of the grill reaplced to have a compleetely smooth front end again As you can see it's a rough job and the holes screws could have been lined up better if you have OCD but needed a quick solution and this took 10 minutes! (also added number plate stickers to just the plate to stop it scratching the bumper as it's a very flush fit.) And of course have got hold of a new towing eye from a scrappies!
  18. Yeah looks that way, not worth the time as you say so will dump it, thanks for the help mate Mods, feel free to delete this thread if needed...
  19. Ummmm, I don't think so sadly no just took it out and replaced it!
  20. No idea if this would be of any use to anybody, it had the notorious lose connection problem when it was removed last year and I replaced it for that reason but might be good for repairs if anyone wants it? Other than that the front of it is in very good condition, no marks or scuffs etc. Not a clue what these go for but seeing as it has the problem does anyone want to take it off my hands for £15 plus postage?
