  1. Hahaha! Love it! Did look a tad odd sitting amongst all those grey and black Beamers but certainly stood out Yeah, sat next to a load of fairly understated 3 series' etc te blue made it look even more special Cheers all! Yeah the auto box is very nice just pottering around town or using alongside cruise control down the M4 and the paddle shift is pretty awesome when giving it some!
  2. Cheers both! Will pick up a couple grommets then and give it a go tomorrow probably. Got some Le mans blue paint so will try one in black and one colour matched to see which looks better!
  3. Another question, just woderig what the difference is between the manual and auto floor mats? I see most eBay ads say only compatible for manual but does this means they won't fit the auto at all or is there just a difference around the pedals where the clutch is missing on the auto?
  4. Thread revival! Looking to do this today but have evry limited tools available to me at my flat. What do I need exactly and also, will the fact that the pipe for the washer fluid still being there cause any problems with it leaking into the boot etc? Or is that what the second grommet is for?
  5. Cheers mate! They may well have actually, so will ask them about that! Not too worries about it as I have a comprehensive warranty with BMW so plenty of time to fix minor faults like these! Will suggest that to them though
  6. Cheers mate, fell in love with the car as soon as I saw the colour Cheers man! Yeah looking forward to getting the wheel although I'm slightly worried now for 2 reasons. One, I asked for him to add some thickness after I test drove a Z4 and loved the cusioned feel of the M wheel but actually the wheel on the 370, although not padded, is much thicker than I thought so worried it might be too thick. Also using the exchnage option he only supplies the outter wheel, not the centre bit with air bag and controls etc so now I'm worried that with the new flat bottom I'm not sure how the centre plastic will fit with it! Jackl seems to know his stuff though so putting some trust in him Hadn't thought of it being an issue with paint to be fair mate, so thanks for that! After cleaning them didn't work I just assumed maybe one was lose or had moved slightly but seeing as BMW had it in the bodyshop you may well be right. Will mention that to them when I visit later Anyone got any ideas on the washer level warnings I'm getting despite the washer fluid being full?
  7. No worries mate, ordered a set of white one's from that site and it looks like they send 2 pairs 1 large and 1 small so should be fine! Cheers
  8. Cheers mate! Yeah, I was quite surprised! The pull seems to be a lot more aggresive and I'm loving the paddle shift on the auto when your really going through the gears!
  9. Oh, and also meant to ask about a few minor faults; Firstly, somehow my rear plate fell off on the half mile drive to work this morning I haven't had a chance to re-trace my steps to look for it yet! But also, the rear parking sensors, they seem to be working intermittently, when I first got in it and put it in reverse there was a constant beep (did get BMW to look at it then but I wanted to just get going in it and they said to come back another day). They were working for a while as they should but the constant beep comes on som times and the repeated beeps seem to be completely random. Is there a common fault here? Also, getting a warning on the dash sometimes about the washer fluid level but it's completely brimmed. Is this a common faulty sensor or something? I'll be taking it back to Sytner soon to fix them as I have a 6 month warranty with them but might be useful to give their guys some inside info as they did seem a bit lost with the parking sensor issue with it not bing a BMW
  10. So, finally picked up my 370 yesterday, just over a month after writing off my old 350. Very, very happy with the car! Now that I've had time to take a good look at everything it does feel like a huge upgrade from the 350, just in interior quality etc and although I was expecting it to be a little faster than the old car I was quite suprised just how much faster it feels. Paddle shift is great fun too, definitely better to use the auto mode at slow speeds around town etc but when you put your foot down the paddle shift is great! Anyway I know you've all seen them before but a few pics of it... Picked it up from the BMW dealer who had it in as a part exchange and they'd had it in the body shop for a week respraying any small scuffs or stone chips so it looked brand new and they also refurbed the alloys so I chose BMW Ferret Grey which is the perfect colour against the blue! Few plans for it; - Exhaust - It was booked in to have a new cat back at Prospeed in Cardiff Tuesday just gone but picked the car up late so now it's booked in for Jan 7th - Steering wheel - Already ordered a new wheel from Jack @ Royal. Spec will be, re-profiled/flat bottom, smooth nappa leather top and bottom, grey alacantara on the sides and blue stitching with the blue centre band. - Vinyl wrapping - on the rear 'diffuser' and centre section of the front lip and fangs in either gloss black or CF. - CS/Tarmac side skirts - I already have these second hand from Andy. - Spacers - 20/25mm - Calipers - Going to spray them to match the body colour and also replace the stickers with Akebono ones - Minor mods - new plates/front mount removed, rear wiper delete, LED bulbs all round etc. I'm sure that list will grow but for now just hoping for some more dry weather like today to enjoy it over Christmas
  11. Sold to DanS I'm afraid, mods feel free to lock
  12. Hi all, I have for sale some OEM front mats for the 350z. Taken from my old car which I recently wrote off. Bought them from a member on here not long before I had the accident. Conditon I would say is good/very good as the only sign of wear is on on the drivers side around the heel area. Other than that no marks or stains and still nice and thick. Can't remember exactly what I paid as I've cleared out my PM's but £40 delivered in the UK sounds about right. P.s mods, sorry my username isn't fully in all the pics but I had no paper in my flat and the laptop screen kept making the iPhone pictures dark
  13. That's the perfect colour for them, funnily enough I've used Rover gunmetal before and still have a can of it in the flat. Oddly though I used it to restore a decoration for my flat You should definitely looking at doing something similar to your other set of headlights once these are done and offer it as a service to people here with the exchange option, that way you can keep doing them if you feel like! I'm sure it could be a very nice money spinner
  14. I've heard from Charlie that you've had it down now mate? Any vids???
  15. Sort of related to this topic, I'm going to be changing my interior and number plate lights on my 370 this week and was just wondering what are the best to go for? Also, I want something very bright for the side lights, maybe with a blue tint to similar to HID's. Can anyone reccomend a powerul sidelight replacement blub? I didd see something about some Philips 400K ones? (althouhg I belive that the K value just refers to the colour does it?)
  16. Meant to ask mate, do you know what size these are?
  17. I'll heat them up to soften the glue, and press them back together. I have bought a spare pack of butyl glue, which i will also work into areas that may be a little sparse. I see! Is it true that's it's very difficult to get a proper seal back on headlights? To be honest, this is the first time ive ever attempted it, but im confident it will all be okay. The glue is not like silicone, or a hard setting glue like a poxy resin. It softens with heat, and when warm, you can manipulate it back into the grooves with little difficulty. Once i do this, if i see any areas that look thin, i'll work a little more into the grooves. Good stuff! All the best, look forward to the end result! Are you spray them yourself or leaving it to a body shop? Does having black interiors effect the light etc Also, where did you get the spare set from? I would mind giving it a go but not on my own set!

  19. I want these! Tbf, I'd just be happy with some black painted internals! What will you use to seal the back up properly?
  20. Cheers both! Yeah, got very lucky not only to walk away from the accident but also that I haven't been screwed over by the insurance etc. Will definitely get some pics up, it's ready and waiting for me in the BMW showroom, just need the insurance money through!!
  21. Turned out quite well in the end, got £4.5k for the car which I was happy with, then bought it back and sold it ok straight away to make a decent profit to add the the new car fund! Hopefully picking up my 370z this weekend!
  22. It's one of the major factors that sold the car to me mate! Saw it and just had the wow factor
  23. Falcon Performance bodyshop did them, sand down prep, prime, paint & lacquer in the oven The stickers are off the internet and I just used the 'A' and repositioned it. http://ccdecals.com £5.99 Brilliant, cheers mate! Will get some ordered off there! May leave the rear one's blank mind
  24. roughed the caliper using a green scourer, cleaned and sprayed with hammerite smooth, no primer as the paint is quite thick with multiple thin coats, high gloss so no need for lacquer I'm gonna be using just a regular aerosol as I couldn't find s decent match to Le mans blue in anything else sadly So I'll probe need to use primer and lacquer as its a metallic colour! I would primer if i was you and use a vht lacquer if poss Cool, will give it s try and see how it goes! Cheers mate
