  1. So back on topic, lets say I wanted to have an uprev but I'm not going to do any breather mods other than the exhaust I already have, is it still worth it? From what I have seen, the other breather mods bring minimal gains when looking at a power to pounds spent ratio But lets say I had an uprev to gain back some of the BHP i'd have lost over the years but didn't exceed the original bhp figures, would I then be abe to class it as a remap mod but with no power gain?
  2. I thought the knock sensor on the 350z only works up to 5k rpm..therfore if you are running above it on 95 ron you risk det
  3. Super cup football...I still have one. I've been selling off some of myold toys, namely my original transformers. The only ones I have left now are the bigger ones like scorponok! I never though of offering them to you guys on here. Scorponok by p_h_7, on Flickr
  4. How much did you spend on your winter tyres then out of curiosity? I tend to have an aversion to buying brand new tyes after a stint many years ago where in the space of 4 months i lost 3 tyres that could not be repaired. After that I vowed not to buy brand spankers again. I also love a bargain! Best I have ever done is 4 x Dunlop SP winter sport tyres with 5mm on each for my Wife's passat for £31 and £25 for VW steel wheels for her to run them on.
  5. I need to source tyres for my 17" JDM wheels which are Front Size: 17x7.5 Offset: +30mm Weight: 23.26lbs Tire: 225/50/17 Rear Size: 17x8.0 Offset: +33mm Weight: 24.14lbs Tire: 235/50/17 Searching for 235/50/17 tyres isn't turning up many results on ebay yet (still early i suppose) but there are loads of 225/50/17 I know that the thought process is that you shouldn't run 225/50/17 on all 4 corners as you may experience increased oversteer. Unless that doesn't matter so much on a winter set up given the more careful nature of driving during the conditions??? My question is this. What if I ran 215/55/17 Front and 225/55/17 on rear? Will they fit results Front: http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=225&aspect=50&diameter=17&wheelwidth=7.5&offset=30&width2=215&aspect2=55&diameter2=17&wheelwidth2=7.5&offset2=30&Submit=Submit Rear: http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=235&aspect=50&diameter=17&wheelwidth=8&offset=30&width2=225&aspect2=55&diameter2=17&wheelwidth2=8&offset2=30&Submit=Submit In my mind this would work and the extra ride height would aid clearing snow and debris with the front lip I'd be interested in your thoughts, especially on this following idea: What is worse; a) running 225/50/17 on all 4 corners but of the same rubber Running correct sized tyres but 2 different manufacturers (matching tyres on each axle) Notice I said what is worse....I know there is the obvious answer to what is best which is to have matching tyres, I was just curious!
  6. several of the traders sell the rdx aerial that is meant to be good, other than that the s2000 aerials are very popular
  7. I have 2 pairs if azure skirts that I haven't put up for sale yet. One of the sets needs repainting any way. I'll drop some pics on for you if you are interested.

  9. So pleased you decided to do this. A couple of my interior bulbs had failed and i was considering getting LEDs to replace them with but there are so many different versions and comments about what is good and what isn't! The fact that I can do the lot in one purchase and the exterior really appeals.
  10. Does it matter? Just look at it!if it was bright pink I'd still want it.
  11. The plate ended GAS for certain, can't remember the rest
  12. If I remember it was northbound m42 through to the M1, I got Tracy to snap him. Followed him for ages, terrific sounding and looking machine.

    OiI usage....?

and if you start seeing your oil pressure needle swing while cornering or heavy braking then you are running really low on oil.

    OiI usage....?

Also how many miles on the clock. Mine uses more oil as it has done more miles than most. Try zeroing the mileage/hours passed part of the computer and see how far and in how much time has passed since you last topped up. Do this in conjunction with checking your oil dipstick and you should get a good idea.
  17. I'm interested in the full set also
  18. Thanks guys, Just found a picture I was looking for for a compare and contrast...15 months ownership and 11k miles later Perhaps the biggest upgrade on show is that my iphone 5 camera is better than my old blackberry piece of junk!
  19. Answering the off topic section...is your browser IE10 perchance??? I have them same issue on one of my other pcs. Either download another browser or copy and paste a few empty carraige returns from notepad or other word processor into the reply box to get you around it at a push.
  20. Welcome to the forum. Another midlander, where abouts are you from? You should head over to the West Midlands section as there are meets going on in October if you are interested
  21. Exactly why I decided to keep mine in the end!
  22. Can't make it I'm afraid. You guys keep picking dates I can't do. It is Tracy's birthday party that night. But I can't wait to get it out there to see you all again. The front of the car looks new, all stone chips are gone from the wings and bonnet. Thosr of you who saw my old bumper up close know how peppered a 183k mile bumper gets!
  23. So big update, I've been away for a few weeks and bogged down with work so my time on here had become minimal. Things should now be back to normal again hopefully. So lets recap, broken nismo front bumper in multiple places. Many thanks to mopedmark (again) for helping source someone to conduct the repair. The damage turned out to be far worse than initially thought and under inspection needed more doing to it. This had led to reconstruction that now makes this bumper tougher than ever Pictures after the return, sorry none of the rear where all the magic had happened. Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr About a month ago I heard a metallic scraping coming from the rear. Stripped the nearside rear wheel off to look for issues, was worried it was my spacer doing something terrible. Could see anything until I tried to put the wheel back on and then I noticed the wobble.....wheel bearing failure. So got that booked in with my mechanic and all is now well again. So then the car went in for bumper and skirts prepping spraying and fitting and also a wing and bonnet blend while I was away in Spain. A massive thanks to Parkside Autos in Wednesbury for the job done. They conducted a hell of a lot of work to get the car to where it is now and I can whole heartedly recommend them for anyone needing work done.....drum roll please Emerging after the paint job Untitled by p_h_7, on Flickr Close to floor!
