  1. Awesome build mate, a lot of subtle exterior mods have made it look a lot better! Also loving the carbon fibre driver control trim, might have to get one!
  2. Okay springs are gone, I was offered to good a deal not to split. So standard shocks are available, and wheels are still here, try paisley freight if you need a courier!
  3. Thanks a lot mate! Haha thanks, it amazing how much fattening these up changes the lines
  4. Some awesome editing! Really liked the style of the video, makes me miss doing it. But why were there so few cars? Ill give the page a like when I'm on the pc would well up for traveling to do a Z meet like this!
  5. ITS DONE!!!!!! And with relative ease and no major issues this time (amazing right?) I have some before and after shots coming up in a minute so if your impatient scroll on down Got to the workshop this morning after a very careful drive there, surprisingly got off the drive without any scraping, although i did come off mega slow and at some extreme angle. Started by putting on the rear damper adjust extenders we forgot to put on last time, as anybody who has coilovers on a Z knows you cant reach the damper adjust easy, so most companies come up with ways round this, BC just use a extended cord you tighten to the top, and bend down and cover with your plastics on the rear strut brace when you don't need access. Next up josh cut the old wishbone bolt out, and replaced the whole thing, was so much easier this way, next ride height adjust, we went a bit optimistic at first, and dropped so we had no arch gap at all at the back, and dropped just enough to compensate for the 25mm spacers that will be fitted next week up front. This was actually fine for your normal drive, but i still want to be able to put my foot down, and as I'm sure you all know 280bhp(ish) through your rear wheels will make your car squat, i could hear the Tyre rubbing under any major acceleration so we had to raise the back 3mm not alot, but enough to eliminate this problem. And clicked the dampeners up a few to stiffen them up. Arch gap is still tiny though. Then it was time for a full geo! So we eventually got the car back on the ramps, after trying blocks of wood, but this kept firing out under the car so then we tried sticking grip tape to the backs of them but my car still kept throwing them out, so in the end we just had to guess and get a run up and bounce onto them . Turns out you cant adjust rear camber on a Z without after market camber arms, luckily mine is at roughly 4 degrees on all corners so it wasn't too much of a worry. So we went on with adjusting toe, josh actually taught me how to do this the original way with strings, bars and a ruler, which was a cool thing to learn. i was 11mm out one side which is insane so josh sorted both sides out and we were done. Did a mini shoot with my dad and josh, we currently have our own little group so check out our facebook page and give it a like! https://www.facebook.com/LowAchievers?ref=hl Exposure was being a bit tarded on the camera, and i was too lazy to go manual so i apologies in advance. My dads...since he doesn't post on here. So i drove it home and amazingly it fine to drive, i had to be a cautious but i even managed to get into my drive with minimal scraping, just had to come in at a crazy angle again. so here are some before and after pics! next up INGS+1 Lip and front spacers!
  6. No worries mate haha what wheels do you have? If you have stock rays you should be fine, (or check your wheels, if they have slots in the back you're okay)I know my dads is fine on standard rims, if not you'll have to use 25mm spacers or above :/ Haha yeah, I scraped it real bad trying to reverse out the drive even with my lensos on the back which have chunkier tires, so I'm a bit worried about getting it off the drive tomorrow, and then getting it back on when it's been dropped again, something tells me ill be coming onto my drive at funny angles or with planks of wood

    Ings+1 lip?

AVB sports can do them for €299 + €27 euro and they're genuine?
  8. had a few people asking, id rather not split the dampers and springs. thanks
  9. i was thinking more along the lines of the foam spilling/leaking rather than size/weight, okay mate keep me updated.
  10. Thanks a lot mate, no definitely don't be put off, superforma spacers are good, reputable spacers, unfortunately i bought mine 2nd hand with my wheels, due to the fact my Rotiforms are concave the studs had to be removed and cut down by the previous owner, and he didn't press them back in properly, they'll be fine on any other wheel, and you wont have to tamper with them so shouldn't have any problems mate, i now need some more 25mm ones and will be buying brand new ones from them. Tell me about it mate, felt like the longest afternoon in the world waiting for them to call. thanks pal! Another quick update; The engineering company left a voice mail letting me know my spacers were ready to go, when i collected them (cost me 37 quid in the end) i was asked what i was torquing them to. i had been torquing them to 80ft/lb but when i told him this he gave me a concerned look and went to chat with some people out the back. according to them this was too high for what the spacers were made out of and he advised me to call superforma to see what they said. I called their customer service number and the guy was really helpfull and said i should be torquing to the vehicles manufacturer's recommendations (70-90 ft/lb if im right?) So regardless i thought i'd play it safe, torque them to just 70ft/lb for now. Sounds like a bit of an old school wurzel mechanic thing to say but lets face it for years cars have just had their wheels tweaked up with the spider wheel braces you used to get and that's always done the job. I'm just going to be cautious, pull over at any sign of rumbling or wobbling. i wont be driving or cornering fast so I'm sure it will be fine. The spacer is still properly torqued to the hub anyway. Now the back was fully "rotiformed" it was time to start up front. By now it's probably needless to say something else decided to cause a problem. See if you can guess what from this picture. i was given 20mm spacers for the front, and until this point i totally forgot that the Z wheel studs exceed 20mm so you need either A) wheels with the slots in the back or massive testis to go balls out and slice off your wheels studs a bit. There's no way I'm doing anything to my studs, as you can see from the pics, the previous owner combated this by just tightening up to the studs...which in my opinion is just crazily dangerous, unless he didn't realize? so we came up with a slight bodge, but still a safer option than the previously stated of putting a 5mm slip on spacer behind the hub centric. which worked but then we realized the previous owner had given us the wrong nuts for the spacers so they don't actually sit in the spacer, which means the contact points would have been the spacer nuts, again it seemed dangerous, so the 20mm spacers came off. Next option, knock the studs out of the 20mm spacers he gave me and press them into the 25mm spacers he gave me, this again turned out to be a disaster because the 25mm spacers don't match, ones a superforma, the other is unbranded and wont sit flat against the hub. we also weren't sure if the studs would just spin again like the last ones if we tampered with them to, so ditched this idea. so my ultra light spacers will be up for sale in a bit, relatively cheap without nuts for anybody who wants to buy them and some flush fitting nuts for them So to fight against the front wheels looking pathetic compared to the rears we chucked some 5mm slip on spacers either side as a temp soloution until i buy some new 25mm hubcentrics to beef the front right up! So now back to the waiting game. Waiting to get into the workshop this weekend, replace the rear wishbone, drop the front some more and the rear... a little bit (check out the pic below for my current exhaust clearance) and do a full geo. Cant wait to post some pics of it done, you guys will get the pics first! Exhaust clearance now!
  11. Quick update! Unsurprisingly the tiger seal locking wheel nut idea didn't work! Luckily I got a text this morning from my mate telling me he found the key in his workshop! So that was a massive ball ache saved, so got the last lenso off and rolled the other arch, went a lot easier and better than the last one, which I'm putting down to just having an idea what were doing this time. Now I'm sat here waiting for the engineering company to call and ask me to come get my spacers. I also can't get into the workshop to fully finish it until Sunday now, the extra day of waiting is going to kill me, I'm itching to get it back on the road fully "stanced" . Started thinking about other mods, at the moment I've decided I want to fit an INGS+1 style lip (I'm told genuine ones cost silly money) and might look for some side skirts, finished ride height dependant. Might look into prettying my engine bay up, I can't see the point of chasing performance figures now, all my mods have been "anti handling" mods. Thinking about looking for a skid car I can keep off the road.
  12. Nice Z pal, I'm quite liking the spoiler and the two tone colours! Looking forward to see the charge speed bumper!
  13. Okay the falkens are fallen ziex ze914 if that makes sense to any body? 245/35 One front tyre is a Pirelli Pzero Rosso 245/40 and the other is a runway enduro (a budget tyre i think?) Will post some pics from my iPhone in a bit, there isn't a great deal n the front. Sorry I couldn't fit my name card in the pic as well as trying to show you the tread.
  14. I want the snow foam lance and foam! Would you post it? If so how much would you want mate? Edit: ill happily take the lance on its own if you can't post the foam

    Ings+1 lip?

Cheers for the help. In regards to the group buy I might try sort something out after I've got my car all sorted this weekend.
  16. Thanks for the interest guys, I'd rather not split the wheels and tyres, mainly because I need this all out of the way ASAP, and I have no easy way of parting them. As 14n said you could buy then and split them yourself? I'm based in a Village called Ashton Keynes, closest majorly recognisable Town is Swindon. I'm will happily meet buyers in Swindon with the dampers and springs
  17. Thanks for all the positive comments guys means a lot Decided today would be a good day to get on with things that didn't need the ramps or workshop. So after struggling to get off my slightly inclined drive to swap places with Z number 2 (my dads) i got to work getting the wheels off the rear (now up for sale http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/75241-my-lenso-d1-wheels-18x95-18x85-and-standard-dampers-with-eibach-lowering-springs/#entry1118963) and test fitting the rotiforms with my spacers to see where and how much rolling i need, sorry no pics of this, I'm saving it for the finish, fingers crossed this weekend Needless to say 40mm spacers add some serious beef on the back end, but strangely it looked like i didn't need to do much rolling. This is where the fun began, due to the now pretty small gap between the hub and arch it was a right pain in the arse to get the roller in position. But with help from my dad we got it in the right place, and nervously started rolling. Seemed to take a lot longer than i expected, but it did start to go. I didn't bother with pics of this as its such a minimal roll its not that noticeable on camera so have a picture of an arch roller instead. Word of advice to anybody thats thinking of trying this, watch plenty of youtube tutorials, and seriously take your time, dont do it in a rush! , keep plenty of heat on the arch with a heat gun too. After that was done, we bolted the spacer back on... its a beast! I put the wheels back on, started to torque the nuts and quickly realised one of the studs was just spinning in the spacer so back off with the spacer and we tried to punch it back in but it made no difference. so after a quick trip down the road to an engineering company we were told they can take all the studs out and repress them with loctite. Aparantly this is a 30-45 minute job, but they still decided to "book it in" for tomorrow and said it was going to cost between 35 and 45 quid plus VAT! Still optimistic, i thought i'd roll the other arch, but again we hit another hitch. This time actually my fault. We removed all the locking wheel nuts bar one at the workshop on saturday and replaced them all with normal wheel nuts, but down to laziness we put one back on and now i cant find my bloody locking wheel nut key! so as we speak tiger seal is (hopefully) fixing a socket that almost fits to the wheel nut ready to amaze everybody and undo the nut tomorrow!....watch this space.
  18. Hi Guys, First up The lenso D1's off my car, i was going to keep these as "winter wheels" but firstly its a huge waste and secondly I'm too lazy to swap between wheels, its fast becoming a major ball ache to get a jack under my car. 18x8.5 fronts both with road legal tires, unfortunately mis-matched, previous owners doing not mine. 18x9.5 rears with pretty much brand new falkens (cant remember exact tyre model, ill check and update tomorrow) cost me £280 for the pair and they've covered less than 1000 miles. i think both sets of wheels are et35, although cant confirm, i don't actually know how to check? Price wise I'm looking for £600 (price drop £550), the cheapest brand new set on eBay without tires are over 700 quid and they're 8,5j all round. As stated these have as good as brand new rubber on the back. Also may be willing to take P/X of other interesting Z bits, try me They do have a little bit of curbing in places but nothing major, the Z center caps have seen better days on a couple of them. i also have the spigots to fit a z to go with them pick up preferred although if you want to sort out a courier I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement, i will try to help. cash on collection or paypal, but you'll have to cover the fees. contact via PM , I'm unable to answer calls for most of the day. Sorry for the crappy pics, they're a total bitch to get out of the shed, although i can get more pics on request. Front Rear On my car Next up standard dampers with eibach 30mm lowering springs. (Now with standard springs) I really don't want to split these ....unless you want the dampers and not the springs, as its going to be hard to sell the dampers without springs. (Springs gone) i have no idea what these are worth so £200? if that's ridiculous please do tell me! (Offers under £100 for dampers and stock springs) i Really would prefer these to be picked up, they weigh a ton! again sorry for the crappy pics Thanks for looking.

    Ings+1 lip?

Thanks guys, I definitely don't want to be paying huge amounts for one firstly because with the ride height I plan to run it'll probably get smashed to crap! And secondly I want to import a aerosync bumper in the distant future. But I'd be interested in a rep! let me know what you can do mate, I'm in no great hurry for one.

    Ings+1 lip?

Where can you get an INGS+1 lip in the uk? I've looked everywhere and can't find them ?
  21. Cheers for the help mate but I've literally found one with everything silly cheap on eBay, thanks again though.
  22. So Progress started yesterday.... here's some generic "i did something" photos Coilover Up on the ramps with my old man and josh. Everything was going sweeter than usual, life is so much easier with ramps or maybe i'm just to used to doing everything on the driveway? but then my rear toe adjust bolt decided to snap, with most of it still inside the rear lower wishbone bush we have to cut it out and replace it. This was at 3 yesterday so Nissan was closed and euro car parts don't do that sort of thing. After a flick through the web josh found the bush but at £110 a pair. Turns out its cheaper (and easier) just to buy the whole wishbone second hand with the bush still in it. so ill be ordering that tonight. We finished fitting the coilovers, and chucked the Rotifroms on the front without spacers for now. we left the bush in to get home. was dodgy enough driving it without a toe bolt already so i didnt want to tempt fate. Especially by adding spacers. So now we have to wait until next weekend! Current to do list: Replace offside rear wishbone (spring mount) Adjust ride height to baller status height. Get the spacers on. Rotiforms to go on the rear. Give the rear arches a tickle with the roller. Get damper settings right. Do a full Geo. Ride height is looking a tad better, even with "out of the box" ride height setting with the extreme drop kit, so heres a few pictures. Sorry for the mobile quality pics, i'll get some better ones up when its all done. Was a bit worried about moving away from the all black look, but i actually prefer the contrast, think it also matches my tails, indicators and Z side badges.
