No, not at all. Those were the prices I were given. I'd add a link to their website where they're advertised for £75 plus P&P, but feel I've already done them a favour by highlighting their product and now had the rug pulled from beneath me and made to look like I'm trying to fleece my forum friends.

Haha, cheers Pete. POP! There goes the bubble. I did look on eBay to see if they were available and couldn't see anything, these must have just been listed. Those were the 'special group buy' prices I were given by the supplier. I dunno, you try and help someone out Cool looking Zed in their eBay listing though

Hi All, If you've attended any meets or shows this year (Japfest, JAE, Trax etc), I'm sure you will have seen engine bays on display with the bonnets held half open. This is normally achieved with a lanyard or tie of some description and bonnet dampers which are required. (The dampers hold the bonnet open and the lanyard/tie prevents it from opening fully). This is done primarily for a couple of reasons: 1. It means the bonnet does not act as a huge sail and wind trap and worryingly flap around in a gust of wind. 2. It makes whatever you have under your bonnet a little more inaccessible and hopefully deters anyone from helping themselves to that expensive filler cap, carbon cover etc. At a recent meet, I saw a simple, but clever solution to this "tie your bonnet down" issue and have negotiated a group buy deal with the supplier. The item is a stainless steel 'prop' that attaches to the bonnet catch at the bottom (where your bonnet hooks into) and then secures itself to the open bonnet using a bolt and the existing bonnet fitting. By using this solid prop, the bonnet dampers are not necessary, unlike the other methods. Here's a couple of pics of the prop in action... OK, group buy prices (the bit you're really interested in). These retail for £75 plus p&p.each For 1-5 bars = £75.00 each including postage For 6-10 bars = £65.00 each including postage 10+ £60 each including postage Due to their design, these can also be used to securely hold open your boot and/or door - ideal if you want to show off your ICE install or interior retrim. Please add your name tto the list if you're interested. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Sorry bud, just made me think of Ricky Martin. Please do come along to Cosford if you can make it. There'll be a good mixture of Zeds there and be a great opportunity to talk to owners and ask any questions that may not be answered in the meantime -

I'm not gonna say anything about the Mini, it looks kinda cool IMO. And I won't even make reference the new forum member's name. But you'll love a Zed. Driving one is like livin' la vida loca. OK, I lied. to thwe forum Rich! If you want to come take a look at some 350's (and hopefully a 370 or 2), come along to our West Mids meet at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton in October. Not too far from Solihull. Details here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87311-raf-cosford-meet-date-change-sat-11th-oct/ -
^^ This ^^ Another reason I've never even attempted to use Tapatalk, is the fact I don't want "Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk " at the end of every single post I write! Sent from my iPhone not using Tapatalk

No worries Just be careful with the 4 nuts and threaded pins they're attached to. As they're corroded they could shear quite easily. And if 3 or more of them shear, then you'll have to remove the heatsheild cos you'll have nothing to attach it to! Give them a good spray of penetrating fluid/WD40 and don't try to remove the nuts in one go. Undo them part the way, then tighten them back up a few turns, then undo them a bit further, tighten up, undo, you get the idea. Good luck!

Oh yeah. I just stumbled across the thread it was moved from. Makes perfect sense now!

Spend it all on scratch cards. You never know. But luck is on your side at the mo.

If you're happy with the car and happy with the price you've paid does it really matter what we think? Your car, your money you're happy. Congrats on your new purchase. Now fill the tank and enjoy it.

Cougar Store - Leicester Meet - Sunday 21st September…
14N replied to MITZ@CougarStore's topic in Cougar Store
I hoped the grinning and laughing smilies at the end of the statement would be an indication of the humour in which it was intended. But I guess not. Apologies it it was purely seen as sarcasm. I do still think it's obvious from the previous posts and the particular member's username the answer to Mike's query. -
I know exactly which one you mean as mine decided to drop onto my exhaust on the M40 on the way back from the Ace Cafe. The almighty clatter it made scared the bejesus out of me! The issue was (and I'm guessing yours maybe the same) is that it had corroded around all 4 mounting points, so the flanged nuts no longer hold it in place. Give the 4 nuts a squirt of WD40, remove them (10mm socket) and then refit the heat shield with the largest washers you can find. Simples. But I do think you could also get away with removing it altogether. Just means your boot might get a bit warm.

Hydragraphics in the posts above ^^^ Ooooo you're good Sherlock I've no idea how you figured that one out. I mean there are no clues given away in this thread I bet you're good at Through the Keyhole too -
Yeah I did see Colin's post but thought that the useful posts had been moved to this new topic to answer Alize's query. Oh I dunno

Erm, am I missing something here? Your first post (and therefore a new thread) appears to have been created using Tapatalk (according to the text near your sig). So, haven't you just answered your own question and created a new thread using tapatalk, asking how to create a new thread using tapatalk?

Happy birthday See you at Cosford
