    Sat Nav Disc

Hi All Does anybody know of anywhere cheaper than Nissan to upgrade the Nav? My 2010 still has the original version, which is getting rather outdated... Cheers in advance! Adam
  2. Sure, the kit I bought is - https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/brakes/pack-deals/13293-370z-stoptech-fr-brake-discs-and-pads-pack-slotted-akebono.html Pads themselves - Front - https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/brakes/pads/1096-370z-hawk-performance-ceramic-pads-front-akebono-sport-hb601z626.html Rear - https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/brakes/pads/1097-370z-hawk-performance-ceramic-pads-rear-akebono-sport-hb602z545.html
  3. No worries, I researched for a while before making the choice, so hopefully can help someone out, and you were extremely helpful when buying. The names Adam, surname begins with P. Bought the set up early Jan.
  4. As they've been on the 370 for just over 1k now, thought I'd do a review of my new discs and pads. It took my a lot of researching and reading to choose, so hopefully this will help somebody along the way! I went for StopTech Slotted Rotors, and Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads to replace the OEM set up that I'd had on the car for 18 months and about 10k miles. The standards were on the car when I bought it, and I found them to be OK, but when pushing the car, they overheated quite quickly and weren't as sharp as I'd want them to be, so opted for the upgrade. I did quite a long bedding in process, probably double what Adrian (Torqen) advised, but it's certainly something that has to be done. Luckily, there's an airfield local to me that has a nice long service road, so I headed there and did my bedding in. First time on Ceramic pads, I was grateful for Adrians advice. Bedding process was fine, nice and smelly! Drove gently for 500 miles to make sure they were fully bedded and no warps etc, and could then "drive" the car. I've just about got used to the setup if I'm perfectly honest. Cold braking is about a par with OEM, but when pushing the car in a more spirited fashion, and when breaking heavily, they are in a different league! There's a decent amount of bite throughout the pedal range, then with quite forceful breaking, it is literally like slamming down an anchor. Braking confidence is definitely up, and the car feels a lot more usable. From the start of my ownership the brakes had always been a weak point in my opinion, but that's changed now. I'd 100% recommend the set up. Currently running standard lines and fluid, but that's to be upgraded in the next couple of months.
  5. Big fan of the CS's. Had them in my Clio 197, one of the nicest seats I've sat in, really supportive and having done a few trips to the ring, and frequent 180 mile motorway runs, never had a problem. I'm always on the lookout for a decent pair for the 370, they hold a high price tag though!

    I need tyre help.

I'm being pathetic I know, but after searching long and hard, I can't seem to find anywhere that does what I need or matches, or makes sense, as I've been looking at a million websites for a million hours and now my brain has gone to mush. Rears 275/35/19 and fronts 245/40/19 or 245/35/19 if I go with MPS4S MPS4S - fronts only in 245/35/19, is anyone else running this? £920 seem about right price wise? MPSS, can't seem to find anywhere that does both the fronts and the backs at the same time. RE050A's there's about different compounds 96y, 94y etc etc and they're just confusing me. If somebody could point me in the right direction, to either MPSS or MPS4S, fully fitted, at the same time from the same place, and what sizes, I'd be forever in your debt, and if we ever shall meet, I'll provide a beer. Thanks guys! Edit: Asda Tyres, for Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/40R19 94Y and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 275/35R19 96Y is £679.45. I've never had a problem with the Bridgestones, and don't exactly drive the car on its limits. Would they be the right ones?
  7. Just ordered a replacement and it arrived damaged Any one have a 370z, drivers side tail light for sale? Cheers Adam
  8. Thanks, I think I will do that. Yes all seems fine when im driving the van so im sure its not the phone. Mine has just started doing this, 2010 model though. Let me know what the dealer says, would be interested to see if it's a simply fix.
  9. Yep, whenever I see a Z and have time I flash and wave, most people respond, it's nice!

    Tyre Guru's, Assemble

Sorry Grammar isn't a strong point of mine.
  11. Hiya It's new tyre time for the 370, and I'm wondering what way to go. Now, the front two have plenty of life left, the rears have about 1-2k, but I want them replacing as they're to low for my liking. I'm currently on Bridgestone Potenza RE050a's all round. I've always stuck to the same tyre all the way round, so am I better off with Potenzas again, instead of putting the new Michelin MPS4 (that's probably wrong, but you know what I mean...) on the back? I think I know the answer, but I need someone who knows more to tell me! If it helps, I do about 5k a year, mainly dry weather driving as I don't commute. I'd do all four, but I've got new discs and pads, insurance, tax and MOT in the next month Cheers!
  12. Dream exhaust, but not ready for it yet! Send me a PM if you do decide to sell spacers and springs, I'd be interested in those for sure dependent on price
  13. That's what I've been reading on a few forums. Had it up on a ramp last night, nothing untoward, no leaks, no seized pulleys, belts etc. Nothing stuck, no plastic bags. In fact, it was quite tidy underneath!
  14. Don't think so no, belt at the front seems to be running fine with no noise or anything. Whether it makes a difference, the smell is more prominent on the passenger side of the car.
  15. Afternoon I've got a problem with the Z, and wondering if anyone can help before I get it booked in so I've got an idea of what I'm facing Did a 4 hour drive on Saturday, parked up and had the smell of hot rubber (the same smell as hot tyres) coming from the engine bay. It for sure wasn't the tyres as they were cold on wet roads. Drove about 20 minutes yesterday, the same smell again when parked up. It's not a plastic smell, pure rubber. Now, there's no smoke coming from anywhere, the car drives and seems exactly as it should, and there's no warning lights coming up. The car was serviced 500ish miles ago with a P1, nothing wrong found as Horsham kindly checked over the car as the warranty was coming to it's end. Any ideas?! Help would be appreciated. Hopefully it's not too big, as the warranty ran out 6 days ago! Ta Adam
  16. More Horsham love here. P1 service on Friday, really welcoming and friendly guys. Coffee, biscuits, some epic cars being tuned and really knowledgeable guys. Thanks!
  17. To be fair, my little short journeys kill my MPG!
  18. Mines pretty accurate to be fair, 350 miles to a tank normally, mixed driving and the bus says 22/23mpg which works out about right. Drive it sensibly on the motorway and it really doesn't use much for what it is. As has been said, smiles per gallon, not miles per gallon.
  19. My legs, or the 370 I walk to work, only have theZ, and there's the other halves Mazda 2 to pootle around in every now and again.
  20. You should be fine buddy, just don't drive too hard and as said, pop super in as soon as you can.
  21. Ouch. As everyone else has said, glad you're ok buddy! Affirms my decision to never press that button on the open road.
  22. Morning Are there any cheaper alternatives to the 370z cargo net? I've done a few searches but can only see the genuine or 350 versions, after something cheaper as I hardly use the boot, but when I do things a go flying! Ta
  23. Oooooof now that's nice work!
  24. Hiya! After years of wanting, I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a 370z So thought I'd say hello. Black, 19" Rays, Nav etc, blooming lovely thing. Completely standard bar a red engine cover. Picked it up on Friday, and absolutely love it, can't stop smiling while driving. Quick question while I'm here, my reverse camera (factory) is blurry as hell, to the point it's useless. Cleaned the outside but that made no difference, any ideas? (it's got 6 months warranty, so if it's goosed then I can always get it fixed). Cheers! Adam
