  1. So i bought my 2005 jdm fairlady z in december 2010 with 62k on it, i wanted a uk car but due to having one leg i needed an auto and found out it was an import or no 350z for me. The car had a few mods on it when i bought it but before i bought the car i had a list of mods to order straight away. She didnt have a single bit of service history with her but she sounded and drove sweet so it didnt put me off. This is when i first got her. Next was to get these new parts ordered, i ordered a japspeed y-pipe and de-cats, horsham developments plenium spacer, new hks air filter, viper performance coolant hoses, genuine oil filter and coolant, ngk platinium spark plugs and genuine rocker cover gaskets, oil and got to work fitting it all. I was really happy with all the new bits fitted and big service the car felt much nicer and more responcive. whilst doing the work i also found out i had Do-Luck braided brake lines and an Amuse titanium exhaust system. when i found out how much the exhaust system cost my mouth dropped so this was a great peice of news. About a week after id fitted all the new parts i put in an order for some Rota grid drifts in 19'' it took me quite alot of research to work out what widths to go for but i ended up with fronts in 9.5'' rears in 10.5'' both with an offset of ET20. Before i could fit my wheels i needed the rear arches rolling so i got Arch enimies round to do them for me. whilst ordering my wheels i forgot to ask for black wheel nuts so i had to buy some along with black locking nuts i also bought a stubby aerial, carbon fiber z inserts and b pillar covers. So the performance was now abit better, a nice big service done and some nice external mods done however she was still ridding high so i did abit of research and found out that hsd coilovers were really good so i ordered a set of them, i was so excited to get them fitted. I set the coilovers up abit on the safe side lol and gave her a good clean and wax. So then about a week later i set them up properly, ran them in and stiffened them up by three clicks. I then had problems with my new de-cats they had fallen apart after 2500 miles so i had to take them off and get her mot'ed which she passed fine. i then took my girlfriend away for the weekend down to cornwall in the zed which was wicked this is a few pictures. As japfest was coming up i treated the car to a dodo juice goodie pack. I also dewipered the rear as it looks alot better.

    am i mad

I was never a massive fan of the 350's because of not having a turbo never thought much of them, then i watched a few videos on youtube and fell in love with the sound I bought the first one I looked at and have never looked back. I also am used to turbos cars and the 350 with a few mods is a bloody quick car mines only about 300 bhp but it keeps up with a mates RB25 200sx which is 400 bhp. As for handling I found the standard suspension very bouncy but with wheels and coilovers I can't fault it its awsome handling now. As someone else said you do have to rag it to get the best out of it abit like a big type r.

    Road Tax

Last year on my 2005 jdm I payed £250 for a years tax.
  5. It's not a system but I've had two sets of japspeed decats fall apart on me after just 2000 miles. However a mate has a whole system on his supra and that hasent failed.
  6. Welcome, coilovers are an awsome mod hsd or meisters are good I have hsd's on mine and love them.
  7. I think it looked great but yeh some wider wheels and skirts will finish it off, where did you get the diffuser from mate I was trying to get one of those a year ago but the company selling it turned out dodgey.
  8. The carbon does still stand out quite abit its like grey rather than black so you can notice it.
  9. The purple r33 gtr is with the purple hoses is my mates car its running 520 bhp its mental it took him two years to build it.
  10. Quite a lot louder I didn't like it to start with but then got used to it and liked it, the decats made the exhaust sound tinier aswell.
  11. I've got an aftermarket system but when I fitted my decats it was a lot louder they were unsilenced decats.I got japspeed ones and they fell apart so stay clear of them, horsham developments do some silenced ones quite cheap.
  12. Love these style hot rods I'd love one.
  13. I was there but in my Audi not the zed
  14. I'm with you Pete, this looks mean, certainly has some presence! I wonder if it has air suspension? Must have. Although I am not sure if I would ever want to create this set up, wouldn't be fun to drive, you would be worrying about every undulation in the road let alone potholes! And regarding air suspension.....how much weight would that add to the car!! When I first bought mine, I couldn't clear speed bumps at all or even venture into multi-story car parks (the pitch of the ramps between levels were too steep ). Compromise is the key and its bloody hard to get right, I am always increasing/decreasing the ride height trying to find a happy medium between aesthetic and function. Most stanced car owners only drive routes they know and take 'second everyday runners' out into the real unknown world'. He's using coilover I read on the site
  15. Low? Yes. It'll scrape over every single ripple in the road. Nice colour? Yes. Smooth? Not entirely sure what you mean by that, as I can definitely see some edges on the car. Simple? Yes, I agree that the person who thought those wheels and tyres do anything other than look stupid must've been. Mint? Nope, definitely not green. Can't quite tell from here whether it tastes fresh when licking it or not. Maybe the windows are though? Sam said it best. It looks ridiculous, never mind that as a car with a basic function to be able to move, it completely fails on that task. At least, without having to plan your route so that you only drive on glass, or are sitting on some bubble wrap so that your teeth aren't shaken to bits. Keyser has it spot-on with his wheel setup, it does looks and performance in equal measure Thanks for calling me simple, what the hell crawled up your arse today?
  16. Well if we all liked the same things what a boring world we would live in.
  17. That is a f*cking abortion. Well, apart from the colour. That's quite nice. What's wrong with it it's low, nice colour, smooth, simple and mint.
  18. Sky was the company that charged me £2300 last year and I also live in a nice area the average age in my road is 90 lol nothing happens most people in my street don't even leave the house.
  19. If you go for the ET 12 offset you won't need spacers as it will look ok if you get the ET35 offset I Think you will wish you had got the ET12's but do abit of research and see if the ET12's will fit the front ok.
