  1. Hi Jake, I did a lot of reading before I fitted this and didn't see anything like that. I can only see that being a possibility in turbo applications, I don't see how holding the RPM by cutting fuel can put pressure on the crank, its not as though I'm building up pressure (as you would be in F/I applications). Have used no lift shift loads too. Ive had it fitted now for almost a year and not seen any issues with it so far. Used it a few times on the road, which is probably ill advised, but I have attended 3 drag racing sessions with the car/system and obviously it got used and abused there with no ill effects.
  2. Hi Foo56, it is physically separate, but not sure how youd run the 2 systems together.
  3. Fixed the guide with images having broke, photobucket....
  4. Thanks for your help Mark. I'm going to need to pay you guys a visit soon so makes sense to do this at the same time. If I bought one of those ECU's and brought it to you, I'm assuming you'd just load the map you guys already did for me into it, add the ARC upgrades and away we go? Does changing the ecu affect anything like remote central locking or NATS?
  5. Hi mate, Glad the guide was useful to you, regardless of whether you have a bose unit or not, the auto leads adaptor is the same, it's the in car etc one that alters. The more expensive one (with steering wheel controls) should I guess still work in a car without then, but obviously you won't be able to use the steering wheel control functions. Of course I could have misread your post, however the items I have linked to in my original post were the exact ones I purchased for the mod in my 04 UK car with Bose system and steering wheel controls. If you have any more info or can suggest how I can edit the guide then let me know
  6. Is it possible to buy a HR ecru and fit it into a DE? Guessing not as nobody has mentioned it. The DE ecu's frkm the US are pretty costly, shame they couldn't find room for it in the UK DE ECU
  7. Yeah that's true Dan, in my case, I have two physical Cats, only one has anything inside it though due to the insides of the other one deciding it would rather be free of those hot and dusty conditions and lodging itself in the rear section of the exhaust!
  8. Brandon, i hope its OK if i piggyback here (let me know if not), but im looking for one too, in/around Chelmsford/Essex area. I still have 1 CAT fitted if that helps
  9. Maybe Andy knows, or someone else, but what is the benefit of winning the best club award? I heard something about 500.00, just curious as to wheteher this goes direct to the club, of if its like 500.00 worth of cover for members to come back next year or something. Just curious
  10. Fair enough, won't bother with a stand unless more people are interested, but hopefully see you two there 👠Going to get there very early as I want a race ticket this time round!! And it better be 1/4 mile
  11. So are you two both up for coming on the 4th? Haha yeah there were 3/4 370's, was a decent turnout for them, but couldn't see any other 350's.
  12. Ahh so there was at least 1 other member there! Yeah it was mine, parked on the grass right on the edge of the parking area. Hopefully can get some others interested
  13. Hey all, I posted some info about a meet up happening at North Weald airfield, near to Harlow/Epping in Essex. I know a lot of londen Z owners wont be far so thought you guys may be interested too. Go check out the main topic below, lets try to keep all replies in there http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/116356-north-weald-racing-drag-strips-show/unread/
  14. Hey all, not sure if this should go in the London forum, or East Anglia, but i think essex is East Anglia so... (i will post a link to this in the london forum). I dont know if many/anyone knows, but a few dates through the year North Weald airstrip (Near to Harlow & Epping) is turned into a mini car show and drag strip. http://www.maitlandracing.com/north-weald-test-tune-calendar/ The first meeting of the year was probably busiest ive ever seen and it would be great to see some more Z owners there. There were a couple of 370's, but didnt see any fellow 350's there which is a shame. Entry to the event is 10.00 per person, but you can also get unlimited drag strip runs if you get there early at an aditional cost of 25.00 per car. The event is well cateres for with food stalls and theres usually a few stands selling car parts, merchandise etc. All in all its a really fun day out. They do have club stands which as best as i know are free. I know there are a large ammount of forum members with Z's in this area! The next event is June 4th, i will be there early doors as i want a race ticket (missed out on the one last weekend, they were sold out), but it would be really good to have a Z meet up/down here. We could have our own stand and go racing if people feel like it. Let me know, stick some names down and we will see. 1. cs2000
  15. Oh yeah, of course a proper set up cuts both, but most aftermarket systems just cut the spark as it's easier to achieve. Cutting fuel is the safer way to do it. Hmm, didn't know the UK and US DE's have different ECU's. When you mention about losing NATS, does this mean the remote unlock will no longer work and both the alarm and immobiliser will be disabled? These are all NATS functions as far as I'm aware. There's obviously an insurance risk in doing this as you're removing a security feature the insurers assume is there.
  16. Any news on the DE support yet. Mark, do you know if the launch control is achieved by ignition or fuel being cut? Usual 2 step systems cut the spark as it's easier, but the correct way is to cut fuel. Burnout mode is interesting! Is that just achieved by locking the front wheels ?
  17. Thanks for the convoy guys, had a really good drive up with you all, we got lots of looks ðŸ‘
  18. We definitely deserved that. Very tidy stand and some beautiful cars, I broke mine 😅
  19. Hi Paul, we've walked over to the car park for the main station. Matt, the official leaving time is 6:40, maybe if we're a bit late. Get your foot down (legally!)
  20. Sounds good, I should be there about 6:15, assuming the Mrs gets reads in time so we can leave on schedule 😅
  21. So looking forward to this! Just finished cleaning the Z for the morning. Packed a quick cleaning kit for when we arrive too, alloys refurbished this morning too
  22. That's probably a good idea. First person to get there can reply to this topic and pick a new location in the service area IF the BO garage is busy. If it helps, my reg is OO04 MYZ, so if you see that car about, then that's me at south mimms. Don't know if others want to add their reg numbers to the list we have maybe so we know to look out for each other? Your guys call.
