If my experience is anything to go by you'll end up with a few very small stone chips on the wheels after a while anyway. I agree with you - both cars have their plus and minus points - perhaps we should pool resources and create a combined version . The seats in yours look very similar to those in one my favourite other cars - the Lotus Evora S. Have you thought about doing the GTR starter button mod? It looks very good with the Nismo interior and is dead easy to do. Hope to be installing my kick plates at the weekend to give the interior a bit of bling. Also a fairly easy mod. I think that will be about it for me mods wise though.

You will start the Mk1 owners off again saying things like that I'm not on here enough any more to know what you are referring to, but this car is really nice in comparison to the previous one!! A guy posted some pics of his new car, which he's rightly proud of. There was a debate about the two different versions of the Nismo and we were sensibly reminded by the Mods to keep on topic and not get into arguments about which version is 'better' because it's been done in other threads.

Glad to hear it's nearly sorted now

Cheers all - will try and get an advert done at the weekend. Happy for the thread to be locked

I'm guessing the underside of the body kit stops most of them before they get there! (Sadly still prone to stone chips on wheels and calipers though ).

Happy Birthday Sir!

One unexpected bonus of the Nismo, which I expect applies to the newer variant as well, is that it seems be much less prone to stone chips on the side skirts and bumper. My previous two 370s suffered quite badly but I've had hardly any on the new car.

We are rising above it now and simply enjoying our great cars

Fine by me. I was just trying to get some idea of likely interest before unplugging everything, doing the photos, posting the description etc. please feel free to lock or delete the thread.

Sounds good

Everyone knows that facelifts sometimes go wrong Lovely seats. Can we swap? I am adding a small mod to mine at the weekend - illuminated Z kick-plates. Will post up some pics. How are you finding the exhaust. Loud enough?

Cheers Grundy.

Looks a no then . I'll have to be Johnny-too many consoles too little time-for a while.

PCs. I'm better with when not to use apostrophes.

My Nismo feels distinctly nippier than my upreved 370 felt. No idea how they compared on paper but certainly feels swifter on the road.

Before I unplug everything, do the photos and a proper for sale ad - anyone likely to be interested in a PS4 for sale? I bought an Xbox One recently (just because I prefer the exclusive games on that system to the PS4) and I don't really have enough free time to justify owning both consoles. It works perfectly and comes with the original packaging and one game (Need for Speed Rivals). I also have GTA V on the hard drive but I cant guarantee that will work, as I'm not sure if second hand downloaded games are tied to the user account. I'll obviously be selling it for less than the current going rate on Amazon which appears to be £289.99. Probably around £250-ish. If a few people are likely to be interested I'll do a proper for sale ad in the next few days.

You got a vid of yours with thise hfc at all? There's a cold start vid at the bottom of my review thread. I'ts definitely louder than just the Stillen exhaust. I've been trying to get a decent video of the car in motion for a while but my camera-lady needs more training http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/83723-my-nismo-given-the-cobra-and-stillen-treatment/

You may well get the engine warning light issue that I experienced recently with my Stillen + HFCs. See below (hasn't returned so far). http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/92382-malfunction-light-and-missing-valve-caps/

And mine

I think it's been out about five years in the U.S. and about two here. I think what probably riled him and me a bit was your reference to being 'gutted' if you'd bought a Mk1. It would be a bit like one of us popping up on the 350 section of the forum and saying we'd be gutted if we could 'only' afford a 350Z. True or not, it would upset some people. As you say, everyone's entitled to an opinion and it does appear that most people prefer the look of the newer variant. I'm just glad I don't, as it would mean more unplanned expenditure. I think I'll be hanging on to mine until they release the next car in the Z line or maybe a GTR, or Evora S..... Be interesting to compare both Nismos in the flesh - all variants of the 370 look better that way.
-
If the Mk1 is anything to go by there will be some quite good deals on ex demonstrators around fairly soon. It didn't take long for me to find mine after the release of the Mk1. Prices dropped to the low 30ks quite quickly for an ex demo and I expect the same will happen with these.

For some of us the mark 2 is too close to the standard 370 in looks. I like the new one a lot but wouldn't swap and I can assure you that 'gutted' isn't a feeling any of us Mark 1 owners get from our cars. Wasn't ment to rattle anyone's cage just my opinion ... It is odd though that nissan brought out a newer version so quick though, and people being people will always want the newer version of the nismo IMO . No worries. Horses for courses. i do like the Mk2 but having had two 370s before the Nismo already, it wouldn't be distinctive enough for me. It's a bit too subtly different to the standard 370. I can see it makes more sense if you're upgrading from a 350. Truth is I doubt it will make much difference to sales - so few people buy 370s of any sort.
