  1. What are you getting instead? I've placed an order for an M135i last Saturday. I'm at the point where I need rear seats (family reasons) so my beloved Z is up for sale. So although i'll lose the looks of the Z i'm still going to be driving something quite special. Nearly bought one myself! Great wee car!
  2. I was going for a test drive in a 370z today and my mate posted that video on my facebook as a warning of what not to do! So I take it your test drive didn't end like that? ...really hope it didn't. I had to cancel at last minute due to forgetting i had a hospital appointment! Ah unlucky. Hope your not unwell. Anyway there is always another day for the test drive I guess. Health first. Yeah, read my post "knee injuries" from today, kinda sums things up for me just now, lol.
  3. I've trained and competed at Tae Kwon-Do since I was a young lad. I've always been very fortunate to only have had minor injuries up to a few years ago. I was competing at a International level in the Scotland squad when I ruptured my ACL, after around 6 months I had to have a full ACL reconstruction using hamstring grafts. The Surgeon basically harvested hamstring grafts from my right leg and used them to reconstruct my snapped ACL by drilling lots of holes in my bones and securing the grafts in place with plastic screws. This soon proved to be a bad idea because 3 months after I started back training i started to get severe grinding in my right knee. The surgeon suspected that I had a bit of scar tissue trapped in my knee joint next to my IT band. After lots of Physio and no progress, I was sent for another MRI scan, which revealed I had snapped one of the plastic screws the surgeon had put in my knee. So I had to have a second operation to have the broken screw removed. Everything's been great for the last 18 months and my Tae Kwon-Do training has been great. I usually train strength and conditioning 4 mornings a week and TKD 3 nights. I also train every other night at BJJ and afterwards do some Boxing, Thai Boxing or MMA. It sounds a lot but I've built up to this over many years and I train with top MMA fighters and an ex world champion pro boxer. I really love my martial arts and I'm really addicted to my BJJ nowadays as it's less demanding on my knee. Around 6 weeks ago I was sparring some heavy Thai rounds when I felt my knee crack but I had no pain. I decided to call it a night and drove 10 miles home. When I got home I got out my car and my knee collapsed, I've honestly never felt pain like it! I lay in my drive in the *****ng rain for 15 minutes before I could phone my wife. My wife and son couldn't move me (16 stone of Aberdeen Angus), so I ended up in the back of an ambulance. A few weeks later I had to have another MRI scan which revealed I have torn the meniscus in my knee. So I have to have a second operation to repair the damage. It feels like my leg locks and the pain is unbearable every time I move a certain way. Surgeon said that this is the loose cartilage touching my bone! So I'm laid up, bored out my nut, annoying everyone on here with patter! Has anyone else ever had anything like this and how long did it take before you started training again?

  5. Best thing to do is simply turn up wearing a shell suit and a Burberry baseball cap, wave and give a big thumbs up to the accused and call everyone a Dobber! You'll either be remanded in custody pending a background report or excused! When I got called the wee ned turned up late and told the judge that the bus was late. Next day he didn't turn up and the judge ordered police officers to go to his home and get him and bring him to court, whilst we waited. He ended up pleading guilty and sentencing got postponed for social work reports!!

  7. Think this guy could do with watching that video! http://www.petrolheadnirvana.com/2014/04/what-not-to-do-when-on-a-gt3-test-drive/
  8. How many horse power! Lol. Just 1 but if you name it Nismo it goes up to 2 Sent from the golf club... Do you think you would get any gains by fitting a panel filter? And where does it go?
  9. Sorry "Raging"! Predictive text error!
  10. I love my cars mate and TBH it's really only sports coupe's i like. I feel that there purpose built and are usually designed and built for one purpose, whereas hot hatches and super saloons are compromised because they are multi purpose. Don't get me wrong the M3, RS4 etc are awesome but are a after thought to a mass produced car. Saying all that, it really doesn't take much to please me. I initially go for looks then power, handling etc. I can differentiate between sports car and know what i like and what i don't like but under no circumstances do i consider myself an expert and by no means a great driver. I probably only ever tap into 60% of a cars true potential. I feel that this is a good thing, it also means that I would probably never be able to compare sports cars properly, meaning that I'm actually easily pleased. Unlike some forum members who could tell you the difference between suspension set ups and breaks etc, i don't have a clue. If it looks great, goes fast in a straight line, sounds good and is reliable then I'm a happy chappy. So moral of the story is that the Cayman S may be 20-30% better than the 370z but I would never notice.
  11. Maybe Stuarty just gets about Haha, TBH the only social media/forums i use is here, facebook and recently joined Pistonheads.
  12. Your car in your avatar looks awesome!!
  13. It's all just a bit of fun!
  14. Great advice mate. Yeah, I'm used to the clunky gearbox in the 350z and if I'm honest my current z4 3.0si coupe is just as bad. I know what you mean about modifying a cayman, it's similar with the z4 coupe, most keep them standard or maybe a set of CSL alloys, lol. TBH I thought about a 313 but the price of 370z are really low just now, so as I've had a 350z the 370z is the smart choice.
  15. I started this thread because I came home to a couple of police horses walking down my street. I waved to the two pretty lady police officers on the horses and they ignored me! If they had waved back or even blown me a kiss then horse sh*t on my street would have been cool!
  16. Your the second person to say that to me! Thanks. Don't tell me, the first person then fell unconscious, an ambulance was called, he was rushed to hospital and his stomach was pumped. This undoubtedly saved his life. haha, how'd you know?
  17. See your ragging because your caught out! Lol.
  18. Your wrongggg! I only mentioned it in my first post because I knew you would, your just ragging because you didn't get the chance, haha!
  19. Your the second person to say that to me! Thanks.
  20. Yeah there's a cracker for sale just now. Think its a limited edition and one of the cheapest. Only thing is, when I was younger i had a yellow mini metro GTA, loved the wee car, but everyone i knew called it "the flying banana" lol. Don't think i could constantly listen to "where's your flying banana 2". It was ok in 1994 but not now! Lol.
  21. Just as you 'could' every time you hit an oil or diesel spill - of which I am quite certain there are more of on the roads than there is horse sh!t Yes but the later is avoidable!
  22. Who's not buying a car because of what Clarkson said?
  23. I only work 2 days a week (Saturday and Sunday). I got called for Jury duty and had to attend. I was ragging having to go on my days off from work and didn't get a Penny!
