  1. I'm glad we agree :D

Seriously though, the hatch isn't that ugly. It's just not as pretty as the coupe.

It's better looking than the R35...

    So you're saying a 1series coupe is better looking that a r35......?

    Jheeze!

  2. Yeah, BMW 135 isn't enough of a jump.

    I feel the only real upgrade would be a e92 m3 or a 911 gt3.

The 1er performs better than an M3, it has far more usable torque and weighs considerably less, my one is faster than an M4 or M5.

    A 911 GT3 is at least 50K.

I think you need to start living in the real world my friend. Anything thats 10 years newer than the Z33 design is going to be a considerable improvement, and Porsche and BMW have the reputations they do for a reason.

As for Bennetts comments on spending 7K on anything, thats correct, but the point is a Cayman doesnt need modifying and a 135 sees 430hp with £1500 spent on it, its not really the same argument IMO.

I think Im living in the real world, I didn't say ild have the money to go out and buy one tomorrow. - it's a goal.

The 1 series isn't enough of a jump - for me. In terms of looks etc. much prefer a e92.

I have to like everything about the car, only 1series I could drive would be the 1m, even then ild probably still choose the e92...

  3. Also, looking at these

These seem to be your exact spec aswell. What are the differences between your product and theirs?

They have 30 different settings, same materials etc.

(P.S I'm not slating your product btw, I WANT to give you my money, I'm just trying to work out the differences)

  4. When the time comes and I've got the cash in my hand I'll know how I really feel.

Just great to get everyone's opinion. I'm sure a few people have had similar thoughts.

In reality I want a car that's comfortable to drive daily, looks good and I can do under 8 minute btg times. And I'm sure both a sc zed and a e92 M3 could deliver.

  5. So a e92 or 911 are no where near in your budget .........

    Not at the moment nope.

Therefore I'm seeing little point of selling for something not really an upgrade. And swaying more towards a supercharger...

    I'm looking for

More power than the zed, same/better handling, looks good. But the price increase has to be worth it..

  6. This is my 3rd 350z in 4 years. I know I love the car, on track it handles well. Just would love a bit more grunt to it.

Back to trailing auto trader I think then for an upgrade.

The only thing that puts me off a 996 is the engine problems and cost if it goes wrong!! Plus, a standard carrera 2 isn't as much of a performance jump as originally thought! Only 300bhp...

Doesn't really seem like an upgrade, more of a slightly forward side step...

  7. That is the question!

I have been researching supercharging recently and would be aiming for 400bhp.

I've worked out that it will probably cost around £7000 to get it to the level I want it.

Now, my question is, is it worth putting the money into the 350z, or do I put the £7000 and sell the zed to buy something else?

    But what else?...

I've looked at e46 m3 - I think it looks dated and boring.

996 911, for 12k I would be looking at some poor examples.

Boxster s - meh. Would always get in it and be gutted I didn't get the 911. Same with the cayman.

Lotus Elise - couldn't live with it daily.

370z - all that money for very little upgrade.

Anybody got a suggestion for something that could rival a sc zed for a daily driver and several track days a year?

  8. I love hohe acht. I think its because if you nail it perfectly you can carry so much speed through! But make sure you tighten your bum cheeks on the exit if you go in too hot!!
