I work for virgin media and have a works van, so the car will only have minimal use.
Insurance was £1800ish with elephant. Not bad, I paid more than that on my BMW e46 320 convert last year.

Hi there, quick intro;
I'm Luke, I'm 19 and located near Watford, herts.
Picked up a zed yesterday from Manchester and just driven it back now.
It's black, 2003, JDM import. Paid a good price for it so I'm happy!
I would put a pic up, but it's just a standard black zed! Ahah.
Cheers!

Yeah, I've heard about the average speed cameras working, but not sure about the gantry ones.

It wasn't in a roadworks or whatever, it was in the gantry so yeah... :/

Hi,
Last night around 8pm I was flashed by a camera on the m25 near Watford, junction 17 I think. Ive looked online with so many different people saying they do and don't work.
I came onto the motorway and got up to around 75mph, ahead I saw a 'wide load' lorry and a few cars behind acting stupid by changing lanes real late, slamming on etc. I saw a gap in the outside lane so accelerated to go past the group of cars that had formed. As I accelerated past the last car and was about to jump back into the 3rd lane (4 lane motorway) my car light up twice.
As I looked at the speedo it read in the region of 95+, I honestly hadn't realised I was going so fast. Now I dont know if I was clocked at over 100, then stamped on my breakers then looked at the speedo. I don't really remember.
I have read a few things about people saying they're only active if the gantry displays a number. Which it didnt.
And some saying they are digital and work but no one is too sure what speed.
Im not looking for abuse, I've given myself enough of that.
My question is this;
Has anyone actually been caught on the m25 by a camera?
This will be the most nervous 2 weeks of my life......

i live on a farm and at the end of my drive is a hill which i have to travel up to get to work.
i have a BMW 320. It took me and my dad an hour and a half to get my car to the end of the drive. Because as everyone knows, they are the worst car in the snow.
Yes, i was late for work, but when i got there my boss congratulated me for coming in and said i could go once i checked and replied to my emails.
Win.

Pfft, ild tell him to take off £1500 for bullshitting?
basically selling a clocked car....

Yeah I know it's a bad example. But I was just originally posting to see if the car was known to the forum. If it had been a yeah the cars been on here for years, never been raced or abused, engine sounds good etc etc. then I would have gone to see it.
But not anymore. Unless its was 3.5, even then old still be wanting a full tank of petrol, fresh mot and tax etc.

Stone the crows.....you should take up Russian roulette if you buy that one sunshine.
ahah, hmm the generally opinion is not to touch it i guess!

Why do you say that?
is it the similar thought that i have about spoiler, wheels, seat and scuff?
if you were going to put an offer in, what would you expect to pay?
i was thinking more like 4000-4200?

Hi there,
i'm looking to purchase my first zed.
i work for virgin media, and have a company van so the car will be a weekend toy.
Ive seen a white one on ebay, but it has 95k and a service history with reciepts but no stamps?
Its got aftermarket wheels that aren't to my taste, or a rear spoiler that i would be removing, along with the air filter.
The car unfortunately looks like its been ragged. Im located near london and the car is in Newcastle. so its a long way to go for something that isnt what the advert suggests.
Just wondering if anyone knows about the car?
I know the milage is high, but ill probably be doing 5k a year if that so its not overly a major concern if its been looked after.
What are peoples suggestions/opinions/advice for this?
Heres the eBay link:
Cheers.

I remember seeing your old car on eBay, mainly cause of the Skepta number plate.
Did you buy the car like that or did you do the work yourself?

But I was worried about too much a post damage and having to jig it etc. so I left it.
Nice to see its been saved and not broken down for parts!
