  1. Anyone recommend any decent sets at not silly prices? cheers Ian
  2. Hi Guys, my zed has developed a clicking, almost, something catching like sound from what sounds like the front passenger side, I've searched and came up with a few reasons for this, I did take both wheels off and found a cpl of small stones between the disc and metal guard, and then made sure there was clearance so it wouldn't catch again.Sound still there, but it is not there all the time? If it was the drop links, banana arms or bushes etc would the sound not be there all the time? cheers Ian

  12. Not sure if this would be the same operation, but when cleaning the throttle body on my leon cupra,I am able to,with someone sitting in the drivers seat they depress the accelerator which opens the butterfly valve allowing it to be cleaned no problems at all as long as they don't release the pedal while your cleaning it. Just for clarification the hose is removed from the TB and the TB is unbolted from the inlet mani.

  15. Thanks for the warm welcomes,Bronzee, in all fairness the car was in great order when I bought it, although after that wash she deffo needs a claying and polish Just back from manchester, the car is a total joy to drive,so comfortable and so much power available, as for fuel am well pleased, was getting ~36mpg with the cupra on a motorway run, and the Zed returned 32.5 at a steady 80, can't ask for more than that Yea Martin will have to have a wee cumbrian get together

  20. true that, they tune up well. Yea the cupra R with all the bits n bobs on and a good map will hit circa 280, my cupra 20VT was 180 standard and with map and a few goodies tops out at 240ish, R version has slightly bigger turbo so a bit more puff.
