arrrgghhhhh fricking clicky axle!!!! took the car on a spirited run in this fine weather...at the end of the day reversing back into the drive, i heard it... higher pitched double clicky sound.. drove forward and back, and then under load accelerated, clicking everytime...noooo. i'm gonna have to learn to live with it just now. i have been instructed that all the money now has to go on the wedding.. Still want to do stuff to the car even though funds are going towards wedding, is there a discussion topic where all the mods are free/cheapest and links to the guides? free/cheap mods: bose stereo fix(£5 cable required) clear rear fog (£15 bulb required)

i let my missus have a go the first day i got it, she didnt like the heavy clutch as well. Which put her off driving it...

i tried using this stuff...and to be honest, i never saw that much of a difference? i followed the instructions, damp cloth, gt12 and nail brush it in, then 10% water with dye then sponge it into the cracks and scuffs... let it dry, damp cloth the excess... i never used the small shine bottle.. so im not sure what i did wrong... certainly not getting the results others are getting..

hmm.. i thought to myself after i bought my car "i never see many z's around." Went out on sunday there , 6...6 of them 3 with 10 minutes of being on the road. i silver one leaving the garage as i pull in, another sunset one heading away from town as im heading in, and I pulled into a private car park in the city centre i have access to and whats there, a black z.... plus on the road up north and back seen another black,silver, and a white, but i think the white was a 370 it was a good bit away.... common as muck!!! haha

3: also on the new pads none of them had the metal retainer sticking of the bottom left corner. is this needed? As it was on the pads i removed. this bit :

right ok i phoned up nissan for shims, £34 plus vat. bit frigging dear for a couple bits of thin metal. so i have found these they look identical to what i need brembo shims and cheap too. http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 2313p10459 can anyone confirm these are suitable?

installed some new ferodo ds2500 on the rears today, but there are some concerns: 1: removed the pads from offside and one of the shims was missing. do i get another one from nissan? (the rectangular one was there) 2: on the other side i was expecting to see 2 shims, one square and one cut at an angle with an arrow on it, but there was 2 rectangluar ones, is this correct? 3: also on the new pads none of them had the metal retainer sticking of the bottom left corner. is this needed? sorry to jump in here this sounds the same issue i seem to have, but its only from a cold start? if i turn more than halfway to full lock when the car is cold i get a noise that sounds like a really bad asthmatic blowing through a trumpet. But once the engine is warmed up in a few minutes its gone? would this be the same thing? or air in the system?

hydrographics or water transfer imaging being looking into this, reading quite a bit about it seen this video and kit $99...anyone used it or know someone who has used it? looks straight forward enough. Fitted new ferodo ds2500 to the rear. refurbed parts: electrical window motors cleaned and working like new MODS to do: clear rear fog light fix bose jumping iphone/mp3 player tapedeck hack yet to buy in no order: jwt pop charger motordyne plenum spacer exhuast upgrade of some sort undecided uprev ecu chip nurrish system reversing camera/reversing sensors short shifter with new gear knob spacers front and back rotas lower springs tonneau cover carbonate stuff under bonnet( engine cover,plenum,battery/fluid covers and surrounds,intake pipe, strut bar, front panel) maybe oil can catcher and other bottle mods uprated oil sump bluetooth adapter (if i dont get nurrish system) so many other parts not going to mention them all....

nah it never so put in a 5a fuse in, as all i had spare was a 5a or a 2a lying around? what do you think will that be ok? changing it to a 3a(when i get one) shouldnt be an issue if its not,just lift the arm rest and pull out the fuse from pcb stuck to the foam block of the door card. 20 second job.

fitted mine today grand job, took about 40mins, did make a couple of mistakes though... just from not reading the guide properly. at step 18 i cut the purple and grey on the large white connector and connected them to the green and yellow to the device.DOH! i soon noticed my mistake and sorted it. i also blew the fuse for the door mirrors and the retract wing mirror function from the control console, 10a red fuse replaced and all working great. cheers cookie. (anyone else in Belfast wanting help to fit it give me a shout)

i just put that exact one on my zed at the weekend, had to retune the radio presets, but after that no isssues, it's an 2003 model. i thought it was a standard fitting for all, are the roadsters different?
