  1. Got my Milltek fitted today and very quiet indeed. Like it... Hasn't coked up but no different than OEM in my opinion. Could even be quieter, although not bedded in!
  2. Got my Milltek fitted to my 350z today, courtesy of Mark. Top chap, great service - many thanks. Appreciated the tour too
  3. Having upgraded to a Milltek system, I now have a good condition OEM cat back to sell. Kindly, Mark @ Abbey has retained my old exhaust whilst I gauge interest on here. He will post (you pay postage) or feel free to collect from Abbey motorsport. No splits, anywhere. Mild corrosion per pic, believe Mark damaged a stud but nothing that will prevent fitting. Car covered 23k Looking for £100 - free collection, or pay Mark to post (whatever the going rate is!) Thanks Rob
  4. Looking awesome mate, keep it up. I had Alcon Racing brakes on the Racing Puma and they were a pig too....!! But amazing brakes
  5. Wanted.... Either Nissan OEM of a decent aftermarket boot load divider for my 350z Willing to pay the going rate .....! Cheers Rob
  6. Like this http://www.beatsonicusa.com/stereo/stereo-installation-kits/nissan-infiniti/nsa-05.html Anyone used something like this?
  7. Sorry guys, to clarify .... I mean the sat nav voice, the Bluetooth interface ... Not the volume controls etc
  8. Hey guys My oem clarion is skipping and it is irritating. I'm considering either an iPod adaptor ... Either cassette or fm (is one better than the other?) as like the sat nav and phone functions of oem kit BUT I wonder.... If you buy an aftermarket clarion double din unit will it retain the oem stuff? Anyone done ibis? Thanks Rob
  9. Before buying the zed a few weeks ago, I had short listed to the 350 , evo x and Subaru sti my08 ...l Both the evo and scooby cost a lot more to run, more to insure, worse again on petrol. The scooby has engine issues, the evo has an even cheaper interior and 12mpg potential. The Zed is at least fundamentally reliable with scope to be comparatively economical to run... Both evo and sti would be faster day to day , especially if driven by a pro... But there is a misconception that 4wd means easy to drive fast. The Scoobarishis can both bite, hard... I chose the 350z because it is a handsome car, without the stigma attached to it that the other two have.. A friend in his evo would have everyone try and race him everywhere . No regrets buying a zed at all. Did plump for the 309bhp model so power to weight is also similar to the other two.
  10. Could try a decent polish first and then a decent anti uv sealant like Zaino or similar
  11. Can't we get a group buy on these or something? £95 is a bit steep for a bit of MDF and acoustic carpet
  12. Cool, thanks chaps - will have a good look. Noticed it when driving yesterday but was within 5 mins of setting off if I remember correctly
  13. Ultimately everyone is entitled to their opinions. Just as I hate the bumper dragging, 'slammed' look etc some love it. I've been through the phases of car ownership, including the massive stereo one, the ultra loud exhaust one and tarted up shed too. When I owned the focus RS mk1 I loved their looks and hated seeing a modified one. But then some cars need a bit of perking up... I just think the 350z looks so cool as standard I wouldn't mess with it personally. Although saying that, the stubby aerial is on, and nismo carbon nob is in and a milltek is about to be fitted
  14. Tbh I think a lot of the modded ones look Chav... Such a good looking car anyway. Oem+ if anything for me...
  15. Hey guys I had two niggles with the side windows of my Zed and wondered if these are normal.... Firstly, I get a little wind noise from the drivers side...can't feel anything coming though though. More annoyingly for a clean freak with a black car ... When I use my screen washers the side windows end up getting lines of it on them . Moving to piaa wash shortly, but wondered whether this is something normal to put up with ? Cheers Rob
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-Vertical-Tonneau-Boot-Divider-Non-OEM-fairlady-350-Z-car-NEW-/150939361687?ssPageName=ADME:B:BODO:UK:1 Anyone on here? I reckon if you're fairly handy you could make a killing on these. Bit 'odd' though - this seller is using someone else's photos (from one just sold) so would be interesting to know if anyone has bought one and what the quality is like?
  17. Well, I found CarPro worked the first time you test it - did my bathroom mirror and the whole room was steamed up except that.... the next day, steaming up as normal. Rubbish!
  18. Deposit down, provisionally SOLD!
  19. Since joining the Zed clan, my immaculate ATR is now for sale..l £3250 Ono . Description Cherished Accord Type R - 2001 Facelift / Red / Choice upgrades  (£3,250) 2001 Y Reg ATR (facelift) in Vesuvio Red 85k miles Full mega extensive service history (I'm talking a book with every receipt since new inc pages of invoices, thousands spent) Oil changes with fully synthetic fluids, including all the gearbox oil, coolant etc at least yearly / in line with Honda service schedule by local specialist All keys / V5 / Books ATR mats 6+ months MOT Taxed until April 2013 No service due for nearly a year HPI clear - welcome any inspection at all Recent work done: Power steering pipe (the big one) Service 4 x new tyres (Ventus Evos - check Evo tyre test - I've always loved them) - <1,000 miles old Brand new Solid Fabs exhaust (unique, non chav - check ATR owners club for info) New brake lines and fluid New front calipers (rears were done a few years ago too) - you can tell as they need painting, lol) Modifications - all within my ownership (eg < 4 years) White Rota Torque Alloys Uprated brakes (Honda OEM pads on it, new-ish Hawk HP+ comes with the car) Full Koni Yellow shocks and Eibach Springs with adjustable damping (been on the car around 2 years - original suspension included) Typhoon Red induction kit Brake cylinder stopper Mildly uprated ICE - new head unit with Ipod / Aux in and uprated speaker in rear / doors Exeddy clutch and lightened flywheel - spare clutch and fly (used) included Solid engine mount Strut brace (front) in red Points to note: Bodywork is very very good for its age... as a detailer, I look after my cars. The red paintwork is essentially spot on - swirl free etc. Few stone chips and tiny pin prick dings (I'm talking 2, and too small to photograph) Small 5p size lacquer chip on rear bumper Wheels probably due a refurb - no damage, not badly kerbed at all - but the N/S/F on the inside has peeling paint due to brake fluid spillage Mechanically as good as they get - massive amount spent on it in my ownership - receipts here for literally thousands and thousands of pounds - I look after my cars! So, in summary, a cherished ATR in excellent condition - mechanically A1, cosmetically nearly A1 - low miles, known to the owners club I'm looking for £3,250, ready to rock with all the kit mentioned, spare oil, tax and nothing needed. Welcome test drives IF fully comp insurance for this car can be proven (try dayinsure) or I can take you out no problem Car is in Haywards Heath (RH16) Contact me if you're interested or want to discuss anything Thanks, Rob http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/honda/accord/cherished-accord-type-r--2001-facelift--red--choice-upgrades/871671
  20. Guys Although it has some life left in it, the exhaust on my car (OEM completely) is rusting around the flexi's and flanges... If I was to replace, I presume this would be Y Pipe too? I love the sound of the 350z so 'think' I want a Milltek or Invidia - which is quieter? Also, do either come with Y pipe? And finally, where is cheapest? I have a quote for the Invidia already which is a very good price, but not a Milltek Thanks all Rob
