  1. Lol. Hoping to move next year. Driveway with a gate is a must! Parking is a joke. And makes everyone angry . Quite funny really
  2. If the window has been polished and is free of contaminants then I'd say mechanical issue. When clean and dry, put you hand in a freezer bag and drag it over the windscreen. If it feels smooth and the same all over then wiper arms or wipers at fault. If you can feel a drag on the glass at some point likelihood is that there is still contamination on the glass I that's the case, wash and dry it. Then use an aggressive clay and lube. Afterwards use ironx to remove any metallic contamination. Clean once again and then polish with proper glass polishing kit like www.glasspolishshop.com/windscreen_wiper_blade_scratch_polishing_kit Clean with ipa once done. If that doesn't work, a cracked windscreen gets replaced for 75 quid
  3. We live in a new development where parking is stupid - 4 bedroom houses with 1 space etc - the roads are privately owned, however, and it is rural so we rarely see police. They'd have to give literally 100s of people points too. Agree on the prams issue but our car park is so tight it is that or door dinging craziness. Moral of the story - DON'T buy new property.
  4. I meant suspension alignment etc. Always wondered.
  5. Random question but... I always park my 350z 'up' on the kerb (e.g. two wheels on the kerb) as our road is narrow. Does parking like this damage a car long term ? I'm not talking kerbed wheels either Cheers Rob

Well, at the least push back on the offer. You don't have to accept their first one. Get examples of Zeds like your old one and prove what it is worth to replace. If you can essentially buy the same thing for £8.5k then fair enough...l!!

I'd have the car back and cancel the claim if you can afford for someone decent to look after it. I work in insurance and the cost of used parts is so high they can profit for cars they declare as right offs by breaking them instead
  8. I just moved from an accord type r and have owned tonnes of fwd machines, with varying power including a 300bhp focus RS. I have an HR model and love it. Only had it a few months but to me feels special... Looks awesome. I appear to be the only one who thinks it is chuffing fast too. And with a milltek sounds exotic. Not easy to hoon around in but is more grown up. I don't miss the pathetic torque of the Type r not the need to thrash it to get anywhere quickly. I'd say go for it... And remember most car clubs reckon their marque is the fastest in the world. I know the ATR boys reckon a 350z isn't quick. I've only driven mine but can tell you, without doubt, it is a lot quicker and more effortless to drive fast. Downside is one I actually welcome.... Makes you think more about car control and taking less risks.
  9. Is that a 'custom' job? Did you apply the carbon or did they come that way?
  10. Are Nissan ones naff? I quite like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12X10-CM-JDM-REAL-3D-GLOSSY-CARBON-FIBER-BACKING-NISSAN-EMBLEM-200-240-350Z-370Z-/320890448582?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3A350+Z&hash=item4ab68faac6
  11. ...flashed you as you were coming into burgess hill on the a273 I was in a black 07 coupe Rob
  12. Thinking about changing the badges on the zed... Down to the black gun metal Z badges or the carbon backed Nissan badges from eBay. Carbon will be popping up in key places on the car in time.... What do yo think ? Cheers Rob
  13. I'm trying to get a kit ... Wasso is emailing a contact so fingers crossed !
  14. I can only find the goki model... Shame, as I prefer spursmaddaves
  15. oooh, nice thanks. The Goki ones just seem to be 'smooth' so dunno what make yours are? Are they 'real' carbon or dinoc / dipped OEM plates?
  16. It's nice being involved in a decent club with helpful people. Some car clubs suck. Good crowd on here though.
  17. Can I be cheeky - do you have a pic of carbon ones fitted?
  18. How do the old ones come off mate? One screw and then 'pop' off the clips?
  19. Arran - are you going to retro fit a badge to them?
  20. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/61438-carbon-fibre-door-sills/ Found this
  21. So you remove the plastic kick plate only, then bond to the paint? Is that right? Easy job? Thanks
