Try warming up the key, this should give the battery enough power to turn off the alarm. A hand dryer will do the trick.

I think the x6.0 should work in a 2005 zed, but it is a DVD. Look at drive for the version and post up the info.

I use a CTEK MXS 3.6 it comes with M6 eyelets to leave connected to the battery, so when the Zed is not being used i just attach the charger plug to lead and switch on.
