Are you driving away before the revs settle down from the high idle at cold start? What I noticed was if I drove away before letting the idle settle down below 1500rpm it would hesitate to go lower when driving as the engine was trying to keep it at a high idle. Meaning the car drove as you are describing. What I do now is sit for 30 secs and let the idle settle down, then drive away and all feels good and normal. Hope that makes sense?

haha yeah i managed to catch a bit of the sun too We were on the roads from 11, started at Edzel - Montrose - Stonehaven - Cairn - Aberdeen. Might be doing the route again on Sunday with my wife as she was dissapointed to miss the run, spesh with the weather. I tell ya, the pop and burble on overrun is ace sooo addictive

Ended up driving over the cairnomount today, man it was a great days driving. Was in a convoy of bikes and the noise we all made was ace Windows were down, music was off, all i needed to hear was the V6 growl through the Cobra exhaust, man what a driving track Cant wait to do it again, maybe next time with a couple zeds Heres the pics for the day:

I was on the Elgin at Xmas when CHC had a gearbox warning, had to land the chopper on the rig and get engineers out. Also had oil coming into the cabin just before taking off, we got off for them to check it out. Turned out it was just an overfill of oil from the last checks Like you say its just a bad coincidence that its Bond again, they all have issues, just not all get out to the masses. Just a reality check that it can happen

Got news first thing on the rig this morning about another Bond chopper having to ditch into the sea Brings it home that anything can happen at anytime. And it seems to be happening more and more not just with bond. Anyone had any near misses with choppers?

I opted for the Cobra resonated system, man i love it, well worth the money, and the sound is just ace! Its bedding in quite nicely now, have a looky in the CS forum in the traders section, i started a thread with pics of the install and video

A good friend of mine has had the S2 elise now for 3years with the K series engine, never missed a beat! He drives it as a daily driver and loves it. He manages up to 45mpg even with hooning around at times As said so long as you look after them and treat them well it is a rock solid car and engine. Plus they hold their value, so once you have had your fun, you can sell it on for very little loss. If it was me in your postion I would opt for the Elise, I love my zed, but for an impractical fun car the Elise wins Good luck

nope no diff cover to come off, was very straight forward apart from having to cut down the tail pipes from the silencer to get it sitting bang in the middle Well worth a buy if anyone is looking to buy a new exhaust, looks stock but sounds great. Not much more cabin noise . . . unless putting the foot down

As promised here is the Cobra resonated exhaust being fitted. All I can say is thank feck i had the use of my mates ramps, would have been a complete pain in the hoop lol. Took 40mins to do as we had to do some adjustment to get a perfect fit. Before we started Cutting the rusted nuts off Had to take a notch off here as the tail pipe was rubbing against it, and still needed a few more mm to make it center The left tail pipe needed trimming down, as it was sitting too far to the left, nothing a cutting disc cant handle lol All in all pretty happy with the exhaust, wasnt that bad to fit and over all quality was pretty good . . . but the star of the show is the sound! here is a quick clip

Thankfully I am not getting ripped off by CS wasn't too fussed about the price of the oem stuff, was just an excuse to convice the missus to buy the Cobra system

Wow what i shock i got! Was pricing it up out of due dilligence for my wife. As most of you know you have to try and get good excuses to buy non standard parts and upgrade them. In this case there is no excuse not to buy a Cobra at £425 instead of the oem backbox at £433 and the Mid section at £142 including 15% traders discount! I am one happy guy

Would this system be ok with the 2007 car fit wise? oem one has blown at the flange so needing a replacement Thanks in advance

Thought i was seeing double when i pulled up next to you to get a parking ticket tried to wave but was a bit tricky with ticket in hand and negotiating the barriers lol

nice one welcome along, the more you drive it the more you love it. I also did the filling up thing on my first drive home, but the worst of it was i completly forgot about the clutch on start up, sat for 5mins like a tube haha
