  1. Whaaaat!!!! no new Z car? It's definitely overdue, I was looking forward to a front end dressed up like Christmas with a tonne of LED day light, night lights, mood lights beaming out of it and that irritating "Fog light on when turning" thing. Maybe even that garbage fart sound built into the auto gear changes that Audi's have.

Guess I'll have to wait. Unless of course they do something different which is exactly what the new Z car deserves.

  2. Normally a bit of a bonus seeing a 350 in Harrogate but i saw 3 drive past my showroom in 1 day.

My heart sank at one stage as i thought one of them was mine. Black on Black, only caught it side on so wasn't sure if it was a DE or HR

    but sat quite low.

  3. I've had a few blank faces but i tend to just turn my wave into a head scratch or a random check of a mark on my windscreen. It makes me feel less rejected.

I don't tend to pass too many round my way. Few 370's but i tend not to commit with those guys. It's a bit like pretending you've not seen Facebook friends when you pass them in the street.

  4. Performance cars cost performance money to maintain. Maintenance is always going to be a cost but keep on top of it and you'll be less likely to get hit with anything too big. No point having a shiny new paint job and buckets in a non runner. If your having night terrors thinking of the mileage just remember there's an increased amount of members in the 200k club now.

  5. Just make sure the new spoiler covers where the old spoiler was otherwise you're looking at a tailgate respray. Even if you manage to remove the 3m tape adhesive

you'll have however many years of grit tucked in there too which would have marked the paintwork etc. I know the Nismo spoiler has a sizable base on it so this may not be relevant but figured i'd mention it anyway for any one else who'd considering it.

  6. I've a stone chip that has some surface rust that needs some attention. Could some one please point me in the right direction for treatment. My plan is to respray the roof or possibly all the car down the line but I'm after a quick solution now to prevent the rust from

doing any sizable damage, It's only the size of a kittens little toe.

I'm thinking Hammerite Kurust to treat the rust and then a simple black touch up, any thoughts?

    Cheers.

  7. I'd say carelessness. Its usually the old tyre removal that causes the damage as the bead has to be broken and the tyre barred off. If they cared they'd use a rim protector that stops the bar touching the rim. The problem is people that think they're ace tend to not use them.

I guess in future I'll have to actually tell them not to balls it up and possibly remind them that they've been checked. It's almost like they just expect wheels to get curbed so don't make any effort to protect them.

  8. They shouldn't be damaging your rims at all. Best take photos prior to tyre change as evidence and take it to a reputable (not the cheapest) place you can.

Local guys who've done a bit of work on my car over the years, happy with all other aspects of work. To be honest i use three different garages depending on the work, some are better at spray work than others and others are more cost effective for servicing. Putting on a tyre is surely a simple task, with the risk so high why not give it a bit more care, crazy.

  9. Can anyone explain to me how and why alloys get chipped when replacing tyres, is it just down to general carelessness and miss handling or is it the machine used?

I'm having a full refurb after the garage has chipped 3 out of 4 wheels and in one case actually attempted to cover their **** up with touch up paint. Naturally i noticed.

Once the refurb is done i'll be dreading replacing tyres in future, is it just a case of bad service or is it "easily done"

also dreading this - coming up on Wednesday. Did they cover the cost of the repair?

yeah they have done, to be fair i got the car back Wednesday but the whether has meant i couldn't wash it until Sunday so it went unnoticed.

Figured they'd refuse after the amount of time that's passed but they've owned up to it and offered to sort it.

I guess I'll have to check before and after next time but why can't this task just be done right in the first place. The hastle of sending wheels off is what pains me most

  11. Thanks for replies, can`t figure out how mine fits, in booklet the phone is old style Nokia, will take photo of cradle.

The cradle is for a bluetooth module rather than a handset, unless there were two different models of hands free being installed .

LG G4's don't work, as connorw06 mentioned, 3 sec and your times up with some Android handsets.Good to know the pixel doesn't work either

as this was my upgrade option.

I don't want to speak to anyone when I'm driving anyway plus i can never be asked to get milk on my way home.

  12. I have played on and off for years. Not had one now for maybe 7 or 8 years.

I bought a brand new Ibanez on Gumtree the other week. £90.

It's only a Gio Ibanez (like smartprice value guitar) but I've got a set of EMG pickups. EMG 81 And 85 and a wiring set.

Will keep on the lookout for a wizard 2 neck.

Currently painting the body in my cellar. Will buy a different pickguard because the leopard skin one it has is disgusting!

I had an Ibanez last time too. An RGR321EX. That came with EMG pickups in early models like the one I had. Later on they replaced the EMG's with IBZ pickups.

I play and have done for around 10 years, although I've not picked it up for a couple of months due to a house move. Main guitar is an Ibanez PGM301, complete with EMG's and a wizard 2. Lovely guitar to play although I'm no Paul Gilbert.

  13. I imagine there's a few of us who bought our 350's new, mine was six months old when i picked mine up from Nissan. I paid a chunk for it but i could justify every penny back then and every penny now. At the end of the day it certainly doesn't matter how old the motor is, if you can personally justify the receipts then that's all that really matters. I'm waiting for the day i can hit Le Mans classic and feel like i belong. What else you going to do, spend 20k on a golf
