  1. I fitted one not that long ago. I'm yet to feel the benefit but to be honest i bought it because you can see it through the rear window

not because i expected it to do anything. One thing to note that it doesn't show on any images, anywhere. It's a two piece design that screws together in the center of the cross bar, could be a deal breaker for some. Also if you do get one, fit it on a cool day. It's a frustrating bit of kit to fit,

you'll get angry, you'll shout you'll swear and if you've got sweat pouring down you're noggin at 2 litre's a minute due to a baking hot cabbin it's likely to tempt you to take your own life.

  2. Afternoon chaps,

Just wondered if any one was heading to Oulton over bank holiday weekend for the gold cup?

I'm heading from Harrogate on the Monday for the Historic racing events if anyone else fancies tagging along

    in a 350 convoy?

If anyone can't make this run out and is at a loose end this Sunday there's a car show near Harrogate - Fueled Society is the crowd running it. Usually a couple of Zeds are parked up as well as a few hundred other randoms. Loads of grub outlets there.

I'm working that Saturday morning so I'm going to have to sit this one out by the looks of it. Where's this fueled society show being held? Hardwood hill clime run?

    Hi Guys,

I know this has been covered probably before but has anyone used fiber-glass to fill the windscreen wiper hole and rear spoiler holes on a 350z tailgate/boot lid?

If so did you apply from underneath and how many layers of fiber did you use?

Like wise has anyone welded the holes using discs underneath then filled over the top? especially the one nearest the window as a little worried the screen may crack from heat distortion.

Lastly was the repair successful a year or 2 down the line, i.e no cracking or signs of filling etc? As a lot of topics cover the filling of holes but you never find out if they were ok over time.

    Cheers

    Andy

Not sure how useful this comment is but mine were all welded, stock spoiler holes and also rear badge holes. Having said that i wasn't there watching over the work. Spoiler holes show no signs of movement, i believe plates were welded below and then filled and flatted off.

Worked for me, so far any way.

Not required on UK cars at the time, no.

Tbh it's just another one of those things that makes people reliant on tech rather than actually checking the obvious like they should. I believe the tyre pressures should be checked weekly, but no-one actually ever does that so once a month is (usually) fine. That's what I do on mine, and it has TPMS which is completely unreliable and I wish didn't exist as it makes me panic when there's nothing to panic about when it goes BONG

Yeah that's a fair point, i had it on my cooper S and they're on run flats so it beebed pretty much every time i got in it.

I don't check them anywhere near as much as i should but I'm hitting the road for the my European tour tomorrow so i'll go through the routine pre flight checks in the morning. Part of my wanted to find something new and undiscovered.

  6. This has just flagged up on a us based 350 news feed. Are uk cars not equipped with it?

There's an additional pressure monitor on the central gauge cluster on the us cars, it's a nice touch that gives you the pressure on each tyre.

I never have a 50 pence piece for the machine when i need one.

  7. Thanks for the advice guys! Erni902 that'd be awesome I may have to take you up on that!

Hayd350 I have CC yea, would the map selections cancel out the CC controls then??

Hi mate, no not cancel them out but the cc buttons are used when selecting the pre loaded maps. So if you were to hold down the right hand top Accel / res button

and hit the cancel button below once, this is map 1, twice cancel button pressed is map 2 etc etc. You'll know if you're selecting maps as a red led will blink on your dash. Once for may one, twice for map 2.

Unless of course your motors been remapped with one single permanent map which of course makes all the above just a nice little story and nothing more.

Hope it helps a bit anyway.

  8. Standard Tein setup. Rear wheel drive though so when the hammer goes down it beds down at the rear. If you level it off it'll bed down and then the front will be higher

which kinda looks a bit gash.

I had my brother do a drive by so i could check it out in motion, there's also a video of me on youtube leaving Cars in the park so whenever i feel it needs to be lower i just watch that video and i leave it as is.

If in doubt, get a pal to do a drive by, that's kinda my advice but i think your set up works well.
