  1. Currently in the middle of the Bose hack, thanks to some lovely guides found on here (viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47176&hilit=bose+hack) Anyways apart from not having to undo -any- of the screws as they appear to all be missing or in hiding i've come across this connector which has a few cables that have been cut, and the the other half of the cables are here i'm guessing they were cut when the after market unit which was fitted by the previous owner was in and my question is do these relate to the steering wheel audio controls as they've never worked since i got it. Also what are these connectors for? they were just hanging loose Thanks Pete
  2. It's amazing that's the same car, well done that man!

    Adjusting Camber??

Brilliant, the front's are spot on so i'll see if the rears can be adjusted if not you'll be hearing from me once more! Cheers

    Adjusting Camber??

After fitting new wheels the rears show up quite a noticible camber. Wasn't sure if this was caused due to the fact lowering springs have been fitted. So you're saying that you can adjust the camber and hopefully bring it back to a more verticle stance?
  5. I'd say 18's as well, but from a completely bias point that i've never used 19's. Chose the 18's for the comfort and practicality aspect.
  6. That'd be me yup and you must be the friend he was talking about with the 350. Need to get a mini-meet sorted, show these Supra boys what it's all about.
  7. Cheers to whoever parked up behind me, made me rather happy to see two together
  8. I never thought the smile on my face could grow but it has! Finally got my wheels and exhaust fitted to the car and needless to say i'm delighted! Sound from the exhaust is just amazing. So without further ado here's some quick pics i took on the way home, shall get some better ones once i've stopped driving for long enough And some cheeky bonnet damners for my laziness Big thanks to Zmanalex and Tarmac a pleasure to deal with as always!
  9. 44, passed just Pretty sure the original test i took was out of 25...
  10. To be honest i woke up and saw the rain and thought sod it, which is a shame cos the weather's good now! Cairn o Mount's a great drive but just watch yourself on a few sections, you'll see the gauges out of the road where folk bottom out (myself included) well worth it on a nice day though!
  11. Welcome to the forum, hope to see you driving around soon!
  12. Got a friendly wave from a '54 GM at the top of rosemount so if that was you cheers! And right behind was an '08 GM, no wave but not sure if they saw me. Spotted a lovely red zed outside Colin's Tyres on Friday. Also on Friday i spotted a GM reg - **** ZZZ sure that's someone on here up Westburn way. There was also a Black Z a bit further up the road but i shall stop there... too many Z's about!
  13. Well i woke up today all happy as my new exhaust was to be fitted, Thanks to Tarmac for the exhaust! Dropped off the car and toddled off to wait patiently. An hour later the Mechanic called to let me know they'd run out of gas so he couldn't loosen off the seized bolts on the original exhaust. Needless to say i was a bitty gutted. In the meantime i'll just drive about like this making vroom vroom noises!
  14. 43 days and counting for me Thankfully i'm onshore but stuck out in India. Home Friday though, my joy is immeasurable!
  15. I was quoted more for having the car garaged than on the street, when i asked why the lady couldn't give a reason. I'm sure they just make it all up anyway
  16. I had to unscrew mine off, know this is a little late but may help anyone else doing this
  17. Why not put them in and then mask off and paint them in place Knowing me i'd end up accidently spraying all the car! lol. I painted a spare one i had, didn't come out quite as i'd hoped so just leaving it black. Though they're flexy the paint didn't crack when i did a few test bends, but i'm sure trying to jam it in would cause bother.
  18. I was surprised at the lack of helmets tbh, I think there was one driver there the whole day who had a helmet.
  19. Spotted a GM 55 plate on Rosemount and a Black 05 plate down the beach today around 3ish in Aberdeen
  20. Grommets are available at Halfords, 25mm for wiper hole and i bought a multipack consisting of various sizes (20 through 24 iirc)so the washer was one of those sizes. Sorry can't remember exactly which size it was.
  21. Just back from this what brilliant fun it was, went down with a mate to see him drifting. There was a small practice course and was so tempted to take the Z out but feared for its life. Sadly the weather was horrible but i guess it saved the guys a few quid on tyres. Anyway here's a few pics from the day drive down partner in crime track was soaking some nice looking motors there too and of course the obligatory Z shots Made a wee Vid too, link is below once they encode it
  22. I love the lines of the Z so did a quick wiper delete, grommet looks alright in black but i'm wondering if i should colour code it?
  23. Not to rock the boat, but old people happen, accidents happen. My Grandpa (70ish) was knocked out by someone (40ish) after he accidentally scraped their car. A bit OTT as far as i was concerned as insurance is there for a reason. Yes it's upsetting when a car gets damaged but lets not tolerate violence eh? Most of these old folk fought for our country years ago, i just hope somebody gives me a break when i f*** up when i'm old. Pete
  24. I'm surprised a counterweight is needed, the boot is super heavy! Thanks for that, might just whap it oot, weight saving's always a bonus!
