  2. Looking good! Does your mate go to the Croydon Valley Park cruise? Think I recognise it from before. We've had a few meets there but he doesn't come over and say hi. Most we've had was about 10 zeds.

  9. Nobody wanna take advantage of this?
  10. Shame its all a lie!
  11. Use the code MEGEAST13 Only valid for today on the Meguiars website... http://www.meguiars.co.uk/
  12. Yeah. I just feel that people think they're only for extreme weather. They are cold weather tyres, not snow tyres!
  13. I'd get them on earlier. According to the Met office, in 2011 there were 175 days where the average temp dropped below 7c. This has in the south of england.
  14. From what I've managed to read up on, it appears that no one has ever done an actual scientific test of this (the wear rate) as it can be difficult. However all have agreed that using winter tyres in winter and summer tyres in summer will give more miles than two sets of summers all year round. Just not sure by how much.
  15. But in doing so you'd replace the summer tyres less as you used them less. Let me try to find out.
  16. Graham... Can you please move Peter's recent thread from the green room to the off topic discussion forum? He's posted it in the wrong place.
  17. You tell im Papa. He is horrid to me! It's the trouble with the youth of today Pete Youth? I never get called that! I get called old at work.
  18. Off topic discussion!
  19. Grip on winter can be up to 50% better than on summer tyres in cold/sub 1c temps. Also braking distances can be 25% less.
  20. Why is this in the green room? I found this all interesting and surprisingly legible considering it's from Peter.
  21. Winter tyres should be used when the average temp falls below 7c. If you kept to that, so used them for a few months at least then you'd save money for the course of owning two sets. What you consider the time period that they are useful for, you'd be better off without. For the time period they are actually intended to be used for, they are very much worth it.
