I’ve just found out that the 370 is on an NI plate - does that make a difference at all? just makes me slightly dubious and don’t want to travel to be walking into a waste of time....

Thanks for your input i only do about 8mile round trip to work and then a 6mile round trip on the school run so worried I won’t get the enjoyment apart from weekend runs im a bit wary of re-sale value with the 370 being 9 years old because it will get to a point where I need to move it on suppose they are both a select choice for many people and not mainstream but that’s why I like them!

Hi all In the market for another, miss my 350 a lot! however, I’m in two minds on what to do, I’ve seen the following: 63 plate Subaru BRZ in WRC blue with 45k on the clock, not much service history though £11,300 11 plate Nissan 370Z in Graphite grey with 50k on the clock but looks slightly modded £11,700 dont know if I am being silly but the Z seems a lot more car for the money although it comes with more road tax and less MPG, loved my previous BRZ but feel a bit up in the air at the minute... thoughts please? planning on looking at the 370 tomorrow depending on how I sleep on things

Long story short, i have been a complete fool and managed to write my own car off in the recent weather. It is currently at the Insurance Company awaiting their engineers/mechanics thoughts as to whether it is a total loss or if they are going to repair it. I am 99% sure it will be write off however, i just have to play the waiting game with them coming back to me. If i am correct and they offer me a lower amount than i believe it to be worth where do i stand? I only bought the car on 1st September last year and i obviously know what i paid (which was a bit of a bargain in the market at that time). I always thought they had to offer you a like for like replacement, but looking on the usual sites (AutoTrader, PistonHeads, eBay) the same spec, colour, year and mileage are currently more than what i paid - will they offer me a similar amount to go out and buy the same car in essence? What if they offer me a lot lower amount (which i am beginning to expect), can i argue and what is the best way to go about it? If they can repair it then great, although im not sure id want it back, but it would be better than a kick-in-the-teeth stupid low offer. Not been in this position before and just wondered of my options.......... if they offer me a decent amount i may go back to a Z and jump into a Nismo 370

Been in the shed and found the AutoGlym, but also stumbled across some Meguirs Ultimate Compound I’d forgotten I bought! ill go for that instead. Also found some Dodo Juice diamond white I bought for the old BMW still unopened - is it worth using that on the blue BRZ you think of will it look daft!?

Hi all, Sorry, its not a Z in the full regard, i bought a Subaru BRZ last weekend - loving it so far - not as quick but it does what i need it to do for work / school run / blast on a Sunday! Its ready for a detail, it was immaculate when i picked itt up but i would like a go myself, so this is the plan on Sunday!! Can anyone recommend a good polish and wax please? It is the Subaru blue. I used to use Dodo Juice blue velvet on my Azure a few years back when i had it but wondered if that would yield the same results (it looked good on the 350) or should i try something else? With the 350 i used AutoGlym resin polish and ive still got plenty left in the shed at home, need to dig it out - would this be OK or should i go for something new? Usual method of snow foam, two bucket wash, and rincse, then its time for the detailers - not many swirls but havent had full time to check with working away this week, a DA might come into play in a few months, these next few times will all be by hand. Any products / tips / advice greatly appreciated and ill get some pictures up when my handy work is done this weekend Thanks,

was working down at the AirBus site down in Bristol yesterday and on my way out spotted a Silver 370z with a private plate and an aftermarket exhaust sorry, didnt catch the reg as i was trying to find my way out - if anyone has been to this site they will know what i mean, i believe it would be easier to get into Area 51!!! hopefully someone on here?

Me again! Can i ask where you also got your 'shark fin' aerial as well please? The standard aerial is absymal and that needs to come off ASAP! Ive looked on eBay but dont want to buy any old rubbish from Hong Kong that may / may not work, and is it simply a case of sticking it on as the adverts suggest? Loving the Valenti rear lights too, which website did you get these from? Sorry, im not trying to copy yours but i just want the little things tidying up - im not usually one for apply mods but its the small things that will make the car lookma lot better IMO. Cheers,

Been reading this thread for a few weeks and it convinced me to take the plunge and get a BRZ after some numpty wrote my 1 Series BMW off - finally went and picked mine up yesterday and absolutely love it!! Driving back from Taunton to Sheffield though has made it look a little dirty - cant wait for the weekend to give it a good clean - but OMG, that blue above is absolutely stunning - can i ask what polish / wax you use to get it looking that shiny please? I used AutoGlym HD polish and Dodo Juice blue velvet on my Azure 350z a few years back but am in need of some new stuff to tackle the BRZ! (the BMW was white) Also, where did you get the leather interior upgrade? I dont mind the silver plastic at the minute but it looks so much more finished with the leather. Was it just a breakers on eBay or did you have to search further afield? Look forward to your reply

Looks like I dodged a bad one! got my eye on a few others now, really like a light blue one (don’t know the colour) I liked the yellow GT4 350 but for some reason not sold on the 370...

Already have done mate, it’s a no go from me im just keeping an eye on it he does reply back though even if I entertained going down to where it’s at I’d probably meet some unsavoury characters if I went with cash not worth it it wasn’t that my budget was 7k it’s just you see something and think that’s a steal when our lass is looking at Ford Kugas for twice as much cant keep myself off AutoTrader i hope that lottery syndicate comes in when I get to work tomorrow and I’ll buy that Z and crash it for a laugh

Just done a search of the address on RightMove and the pictures he sent yesterday show that house In the back ground...... all a bit weird as I said earlier if I was anywhere near it I’d go to have a look out of curiosity now, some parts add up, some smell of poo ill keep watching the auction and ad see what twists it takes next he mentioned someone looking at it Friday night and Saturday but took that with a pinch of salt, he seemed cocky it would sell anyway, if it’s legit

Well Well to my surprise he’s posted 4 brand new pics with original reg too its got a slight scuff on rear bumper but that can be sorted easily and alloys need a refurb ive asked for service history so see what we get from tfay 7k with this many miles still seems cheap but ok for a weekend runner? anyone willing to help that’s local to view it for me?

I’ve spoken to him he said car was SORN but said a few weeks ago, the app says November when it passed MOT damage was bonnet bumper and headlight apparently, all repaired now though MOT advises on catalytic converter heat shield corroded and rear subframe slightly corroded im no mechanic at all so have no idea what that entails or how to fix it he is due to be banned he says for doing 145 in his mates M6, he said 6month but that seems a bit too lenient for me, he is in the marines and he’s selling all he can to keep his job, he stands to lose 7k + from when he bought it he is more than willing for someone to look at the car and asked me times, said I’d get back to him ive asked for fresh pictures so I’ll check my phone now and again at work..... let’s wait and see for 7k with those repairs due it seems good I think, what you think? I’m just wary of so many bum holes posting crap that isn’t real, wish it was near me and I’d be round tonight for a look

Hey guys been looking at 370s again and stumbled across the below https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-370z/233122675929?hash=item364731bcd9:g:oRwAAOSw5xhcVbVY anyone else seen it and what do you think? its Cat D but apparently it was wing bonnet and headlight which has been repaired i can live with mileage at that price, just to use at weekends etc any thoughts? or, even better, anyone near Verwood to view it as I’m 171miles away and would mean a day off work to travel all the way down south to have a look - if anyone can help it would be appreciated not sure what else to be looking out for with insurance claim ones but it looks clean enough despite only camera phone photos cheers

I’ve had communication back.... apparently it is now located in Midlothian, Scotland as he has moved jobs i have checked LinkedIn and it does show him as moving there he can arrange delivery for £150 I’ve asked if I can view the car prior to buying obviously so I’ll wait and see what comes of it not holding my breath now though thought it too good to be true thanks for your help, appreciated if anyone around that area is free for a look soon could someone help out? thanks
