  1. PM sent mate if anyone could get there possibly tonight or tomorrow it would be MASSIVELY appreciated - might fetch it Saturday/Sunday if its all good if anyone else could help, please let me know thankyou
  2. any members in the Preston area wanna check out a Zed for me seen another with less mileage for same money, would appreciate somebody checking it out before i arrange a viewing at the weekend PM me if you can help thanks
  3. hi again bit of an update rang insurance and they said if the car is a 350z coupe then put it down as that, they take the reg later anyway and your quoted price would be exactly that (unless there was something big amiss) so Helen would get it at £873 rang Gordon Lamb also to check the V5 and logbook etc - every document etc has Nissan 350z coupe writen on it - no mention of Fairlady Z anywhere on anything also, after the sales person ive been dealing with has done some digging, he has found that it was originally an Irish car hence the registration plate but it was bought as a bulk pack by Gordon Lamb back in 2005 new and all were registered in the UK - it has all the UK registration documents so all looks pukka im told, although id like to check them out myself in person am i being fobbed off though and has anyone heard of this before? really wanted the car as it is all immaculate but dont want to be stung later down the line any other thoughts/advice would be appreciated thanks
  4. another query! this is the one im looking at getting: - http://www.gordonlamb.co.uk/cgi-bin/get ... @keywords= when i put the reg in any insurance quote search engine thing its coming up as a Fairlady Z and not a 350z - im 99% certain its a UK car however, but would appreciate the clarification - its got full NSH too cos ive seen the stamps, could it be an american import? if i put in the insurance details without a reg, i.e. a 350z coupe manual petrol, im getting insurance quotes at £873 from similar companies rather than a grand!? is that wrong or will it be void etc if you already know the reg? really wanna buy this tomorrow but dont wanna do myself over anyone shed any light? thanks
  5. Helen would be the main driver, as i do at least 150 miles a week just to get to work and back so it makes sense when she does about 65, and it would be her name down as the owner - so its not anything dodgy - im hopin to get a company car in the next 12months or so, it all makes sense really as me being named as id like to drive on the Saturdays when we pop out for the day Admiral multi-car wont work at the moment though as we already have policies on my bag o crap for work and Helens Focus, but with the Zed and Focus we couldnt transfer until April anyway which would rule out the few months driving might just take the 9months on the chin for Helen and lose that NCD - only way round it at the moment i can think of.......
  6. hi all been looking for a Zed for a while but think ive found 'the one' and agreed a price ive been trying to sort out insurance before i commit but am at a bit of a hurdle - ill start from the top im a 27 year old lad, been driving 3 years (will be my 4th NCD in May) - my girlfriend has been driving 10years and has 5years NCD, with her 6th clearing in April this year found a quote for £1000 to insure with her as the main driver and me an additional - this is because of my 3 points acquired when i first past my test in the first month! its £500 more expensive if i insure with her as a named driver, and the excess is a lot more too ive rung Swift who insure me and they wont insure the car for me until ive been driving 4years (which is in May) and Helen has phoned the AA who insure her but want £3000 to insure the car until April when her insurance is up!!!!! telephoned Dirct Line who quoted us the grand but they wont honour that now with Helens current 5years no claims as she cant have two policies running side by side neither of us have had a fast sports car before but are both 27 and arent stupid drivers - just wanted a nice car for the summar and to enjoy together before starting a family buying the car isnt a problem (as we were planning to move but have since lost our dream house and are blowing this money on a car and holiday ) its just the predicament with insurance! its a dilemma now whether to cancel my insurance with Swift and get a few quid back, but then pay stupid excess and £500 more to insure, or, to cancel her insurance and get £30 back and she starts a new policy but as she is 9 months down the line she almost has another year to make it 6years which would surely bring it down a little cheaper sorry its all typed a mess but thought i would be easy to sort this out anyone have any advice on where to go, what to do? would appreciate any advice thanks for listenin to my rant hopefully can join you in Wales this year - insurance pending!

If anyone could help that would be brilliant, reply here and I'll PM you with my number to discuss Hopefully this is the one! Even got the mrs on side Thanks
  11. Thanks for all the tips - superb advice, I appreciate I'll get plenty of pics and report back tomorrow when I'm home I found out it's an Azure 55 roadster thats non GT with around 33k - what would you lot say the goin rate for one of these is? It looks stunning and just what I'm after, hope all is well How many service stamps should I be lookin for in the book and what's the hood like to be left outside in this sort of weather whilst I get my garage sorted!? Thanks again.
  12. Hey all I'm off to view what I believe is the one tomorrow!! It's a 55 Azure Blue roadster, it's non GT with cloth seats Can anyone tell me what I need to be lookin out for please? Im I'm no expert but spending this money I wanna make sure it's 'right' Obviously I know about paint and dents but that's about it!! Any tips would be appreciated Also, what do you get extra with a GT pack car, what do the buttons actually do on the steering wheel? I wanted leather seats but can make do if the condition is good Thanks and hope for lots of replies
  13. hi i think ive found a Z im really interested in! its a black 04 350z GT - link here: http://www.motorparks.co.uk/jsp/index.j ... 4&x=47&y=0 ive managed to negotiate a price but would like a special, kind, helpful someone to confirm all is fine with it due to the mileage - that is the only thing putting me off to be honest! im from Sheffield and Swindon is a fair drive so want to be certain before handing over my hard earned pennies!! if there is anyone local to this garage that is willing to help, it would be much appreciated (and obviously a few beers in it for you ) im certain it is the full GT Pack but again confirmation would be helpful as well as anything else i may need to know about it, seeing as im a nooby!! apparently, a full Nissan service was carried out just 2,500 miles ago so all looks OK to me, but again your expert help would be appreciated if anyone could see it tonight or tomorrow, then i could even go fetch it this weekend!!!! thanks in advance for your help
  14. legend mate - thankyou for the quick reply ill find the tape measure out tonight and go check the garage tomorrow
  15. dont suppose how long and wide a 305z is off the top of their head!? when i finally get mine im planning to garage it to stop blooody kids and other bad drivers banging it etc!! my garage is long enough (im guessing!) but not sure on width when we went away i managed to get the GFs Focus in fine and get out of the door fine, but the BMW is a little tighter - im sure the 350z would be wider - need to check first!! thanks
  16. need the Zed first mate, but hopefully will be very very soon yours is very nice, lovin the yellow panel through the centre console as soon as i purchase mine, ill be at the next meet ive been a lurker for a few months and only just registered, learnt so much of the members here - the community is excellent spending this money on a car, i want it to be as close to perfect as possible wish i was comin to Wales this weekend, that was my original plan whe i first started lookin for a Zed, but unfortunately will have to wait until the next one - also lookin at doin the Nurburgring when i get one! nice to see a local-ish member!
  17. thanks Chesterfield, appreciate the reply i wasnt overly keen on yellow cars but for some reason it suits that Zed perfectly! the exclusivity of it seems worth the extra too i was looing at a silver or gunmetal one but if your havin one of these then you need it to stand out - not sure of the sunset so its either Azure Blue or Ultra Yellow i reckon (im a Sheffield Wednesday fan so the Chilli Red is a definate no-no ) where abouts are you in Chesterfield? im just outside in Eckington (not sure if you've heard of it?) which is kind of inbetween Chezzie and Sheffield ive only seen one 350z recently, a silver one drivin through Renishaw up towards the motorway do you use yours every day or is it a weekend/summer toy?
  18. thanks for the replies more i look at it the more im fallin for it hopefully a member can check it out for me with the distance being a problem for me - as well as me going on holiday next week - but if i get good feedback from you guys and the seller, this may be a go!! hopefully the seller will also reserve til im back from Cuba, so long as i leave a deposit cheers
  19. been trawling PistonHeads and AutoTrader looking for a Zed (again)!! came across this GT4: - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1500027.htm what are your expert thoughts on this? is it a member selling it? are the GT4s worth paying the extra for? what extras do you get above the GT pack? is anyone aware of this and could look at it for me, im about 165 miles away in Sheffield/Chesterfield so wanna make sure before i go down to look at it - it is very strking in yellow, think i love it oh, thanks to shuck and andlid in Live Chat whilst posting this
  20. thanks for the prompt responses, appreciate all the advice yeah, spending this money i think i can hang on for a Zed a few more weeks ill google them later when im home from work and see whats what but once again - really appreciate the heads up glad i asked on here now after a quick 9 responses, i thought id found a little gem...... glad i asked the experts thankyou
  21. hi all see a post further down the page very similar to what im going ask ive seen a Zed in Keighley, West Yorkshire that i really really interested in - im from Chesterfield/Sheffield but with work commitments its hard to get time to drive up and look at and test drive the car from the post mentioned, it seems members are very kind enough to check out cars and give their opinions - is there anyone passing this garage/area with knowledge of Zeds that could help a kind newbie out!? - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p - would you say this is a good deal and would you recommend a purchase? as it is a 55 reg, does this qualify for the lower road tax? im aware its a UK car, and i believe it has the GT Pack too, can anyone confirm? has anyone dealt with Keighley Sports & Performance previously and anyone have advice/opinions regarding them? im looking to sell my car privately and hope to have this concluded by the end of the week or early next week, then ive got the rest of the money for this so hopefully can haggle a bit and get this by next weekend (assuming this car is sound and can be checked by a kind member!) any help advice would be greatly appreciated thankyou
  22. thanks for all the prompt replies ill have another look later today as ive seen a few Zeds im interested in! cant wait til i get one in the summer with the sat-nav - is that not a part of the GT Pack or is this just an optional extra? if the sat-nav is not in the plastic box thing on the dash, what do you get int hat space instead? would you class 80k as excessive miles for a 2005 54 plate? or, would you go for something with less in every case due to less problems later on? any other tips would be appreciated thankyou
  23. looking at buying one of these Zeds soon, can any tell me the differences between Standard and GT Pack Zeds? also, how do you tell a GT Pack from Standard in pictures online what about the difference between a UK car and an Import from pictures? cheers
  24. hi all seriously looking at getting a 350z very soon - always loved the look of them!! ive seen the following: - http://www.evanshalshaw.com/vehiclesear ... lse&type=1 can anyone tell me if thats a UK car? im guessing it has the GT Pack too with sat-nav and leather seats etc - but you guys are the experts! is that good value for money? ive been driving just 3years, only had a Punto 1.2 and BMW 320 Compact so far and am now wanting a bit more 'grunt' for my next car!! only obstacles i have are a) the girlfriend and the fuel consumption everyone knows they are not the most fuel efficient, thats not why you have one, but i have a 30mile round trip to work and back 5 days a week, plus id use it sparingly through the evenings and maybe once at the weekend - what sort of costs is this going to give me petrol wise now its 120.9 a litre round near me in Sheffield? im having a few insurance quotes at the moment and its looking at a grand, i hvae 3 years no claims but theese are high group insurance - are there specialist insurers for these types iof cars or any tips to make it cheaper? finally, servicing and maintaining the car - obviously if nothing big goes wrong then what costs am i looking at per year to run it sufficiently? im guessing also that as the car is pre-2006 then it qualifies as the lower road tax at just £215, is that right? hopefully you guys can help and point me in the right directions look forward to your replies, and then hopefully meet you all on the road trips ive seen!! thanks
