  1. Sweet, congratulations! Do we get a share of your salary now?
  2. Lol. Best thing to do really is find friends with both and have a good long play or just spend ages in store being "that irritating guy who won't make up his mind and we shut soon and omg I wanted to leave early for the party at Sharons but I think he keeps looking at me and it creeps me out but omg does my hair look ok? Someone came in earlier and said it was nice but I think he was lying as he didn't smile very widely when he said it. Oh the guy wants to ask another question..."
  3. iPhone happiness is a more stylish happiness. Also every HTC user I know goes out of their way to tell me about how their HTC is just like an iPhone or can do xyz as well / better than an iPhone etc. You never hear an iPhone user saying anything like that about an HTC.
  4. The iPhone is beautifully made and a pleasure to use. Just buy it!
  5. No update yet, I've been busy / ill
  6. I had a 4th gen too (BB4 with LSD for those in the know ). Girlfriend reversed it into a wall! Damage wasn't too bad but I got upset and sold it on. Now I'm looking at getting rid of the Type-S for almost nothing! Bah, just want it over with now
  7. Looks good but agree with above - lose the GT badge!
  8. I don't think so as the adhesive is more like selotape than screen protector. None of the guides online suggest water. Just a squeegee and heat.
  9. I made a guide thread here: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=40984&p=607465#p607465 It describes the journey I went through to get this done.. I didn't find it particuarly easy.. bad day! Beforeish: Afterish: You'll notice I don't have the Z emblem on the strut brace yet. I ****ed up and I'm now in the process of fixing it - then I'll put it back on To be honest I'm not sure I like it now... (!) But that could just be me irritated after today. I'll be happy with the Z emblem is back
  10. Well my rear strut brace was rather scratched and I have seen some great posts from other members with their results... Little did I know what I was letting myself in for. Hopefully this thread can serve as a guide for those of us slightly apprehensive about all the steps... I could have done with something like this to hold my hand UPDATE: The Di-Noc can be found on eBay for about £16 for the size I mention. Just search 'Carbon di-noc'. This is the link I got mine from: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1986wt_756 1) To start with, pull up the rubber seal on each side of the boot near the strut brace. Carefully pop out the 3 plastic trim clips on the part pictured (you can see them when you look under the rubber trim you have just lifted. You don't need to remove this plastic trim totally, just make sure it is loose so that the plastic trim pieces either side of the strut cover can be lifted up (they are clipped so will take a bit of force, it's best if you can get a putty knife in the gap to help the clips come undone). 2) One of the trim pieces from either side of the strut cover, removed: 3) Be careful pulling the above pieces off or you will end up with below: Luckily this was fixed with super glue and araldite and careful replacement.... In hindsight, use a putty knife on the clips to hopefully 'relax' them a bit (if that makes sense). 4) Now carefully prise off the trim pieces on the front and rear of the strut brace cover. They don't need to be removed, you just need access to the top. Lift (there are clips either side, be careful). 5) Here is my original 'you will need': Discard it. You will need: [*:35m6euui] Hairdryer [*:35m6euui] Drill with 4-5mm bit [*:35m6euui] Glue / sticky back tape (for sticking the Z badge back on) [*:35m6euui] Scissors [*:35m6euui] Scalpel [*:35m6euui] 30cm X 100cm 3M Carbon Fibre Di-Noc (this leaves a fair bit left over, you can get away with 20cm x 60cm but it might be slightly harder) When you go to remove the 'Z' badge, you need to remove the plastic rivets on the underside of the cover. Whilst the Dremel is one of the best things I have spent money on, using it won't end well. You need to carefully drill the centre of the rivets a couple of mm till you can carefully remove the 'Z'. 6) Here is what happens if you use a Dremel (I thought I had more room to work with.. I didn't) All together now...... ****! 7) Now, consider I wanted this to take an hour at most, I spent the rest of the day filling, sanding and fixing. The Z emblem still isn't ready but will go on when it is fixed and repainted (probably painted gunmetal) Lots more filling, sanding and repairing happened. 8) You may want to measure and cut the Di-Noc to size to fit the brace parts you want to cover or you may want to just swamp the part (this is probably easier). Peel the adhesive backing from the Di-Noc and apply, using a credit card to smooth out the bubbles. DON'T WORRY if there are still some bubbles / creases. Use the hairdryer to heat the Di-Noc in the creased areas, the creases should disappear or be quite easy to work out now. Heat all the di-noc and work it into the shape - cut/trim where you need to. 9) You'll end up with this: \o/ Celebrate! I swear that when I was putting the Di-Noc on, it was the most difficult thing in my life. I'm drained today and fed up. This wasn't meant to take all day and be so irritating. Don't make the same mistakes I did. I'm repairing my Z emblem and will stick it back, it will look great again, for now.. The strut brace does look good... just needs the badge to lift it up again FIN
  11. Not sure on that... try emailing them or failing that, when you order you get to put in the model year etc, just put 2006 instead of the 2003 and it should be fine.
  12. Don't forget to just have paragraph after paragraph of text (size 9) to fill all the white space and just read exactly what it says on the presentation!
  13. Oops, another one.. Don't use clipart... You'll look like you just discovered computers!
  14. To simplify things: - Never use animations, they make you look like an asshole and they never happen quite on time. - Don't bother with transitions - see above
  15. Sounds good, I'll give it a go when I next hoover the car
  16. So I want to remove this: Looks like a previous owner has had a go before... anybody have any tips?
  17. So these came today: Gliptone G11 cleaner, G12 conditioner and Scuffmaster leather dye To repair this: This process will be posted as a separate guide then linked into here (with some basic before and after)... Not sure if I can be bothered to start on it today lol
  18. This had to go: Replaced with this (about £10 on eBay, it's an etched Richbrook): About a jillion times better.....
  19. Mr Whippy? Go home, I like mine stubby. Replaced with S2k Aerial: I'm looking for an alternative to this as I want it to sit flush... so we'll see. Has anybody had success modifying the stock aerial - by sitting it in boiling water, unwrapping then recapping so it is shorter?
  20. This is going to be my log thread and I'll keep most of my happenings here so all can follow my 350z journey. I used to drive a Honda Prelude Type-S (below). A great car and lots of fun - the sound of an engine screaming at 8k RPM is a LOT of fun. 220 BHP through the front wheels may not sound like everyones cup of tea but the Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS) differential was pretty awesome, it would slew the car round a corner (felt pretty odd but you had to trust it) and forgave a lot of stupidity! Unfortunately the engine was probably always slightly weak from when I bought it - it would smoke sometimes and gradually this got worse and worse until one day 'pop'. Burnt up the exhaust valves. Unsurprisingly the market for broken Preludes isn't huge so I'm facing a massive loss..... Oh well, @*!# happens! I've always fancied a 350z and am now really looking forward to some tasteful, discreet mods. My theme will be factory - As far as possible, I want the car to look like it rolled out of Nissan that way.... but I also want it to look badass. So now I start... A UK '03 350z GT in Gunmetal with Alezan leather interior, parking sensors and full Nismo catback (sounds outstanding!) Current plans: [*:15e0ib8r]Colour coded parking sensors [*:15e0ib8r]Matt black front lippy bit [*:15e0ib8r]Carbon Di-Noc rear strut brace [*:15e0ib8r]Leather interior refurbish [*:15e0ib8r]Centre console flocking [*:15e0ib8r]BOSE iPhone mod (this will be my own version and will be quite a comprehensive guide, will support charge + play at the same time ) [*:15e0ib8r]Wheel spacers [*:15e0ib8r]Chipsaway to get rid of a few chips [*:15e0ib8r]Engine bay bling? [*:15e0ib8r]UPREV at some stage? I'll post more when I can think of it
  21. Sweet car park. I love the black roof + limousine tint...
  22. Well I was there but unfortunately didn't see/talk to anybody! Next time anyway! Shame the weather sucked
  23. That thread is sick.. I'd be perhaps tempted to donate, the guy works hard and needs some help.
