  1. If you burn music straight from iTunes I believe that makes it into an audio cd - not a cd filled with mp3s?
  2. Is it at all possible to get these units from the US and put them in a UK car?
  3. This might be pretty hard to see but around the middle of the bumper 'lip' bit (colour coded) is an indentation. Is it possible to have a bodyshop just heat the plastic from the back and get the minor crease out? I want to put some di-noc over the front bit and want it to look as perfect as possible.....
  4. Welcome along! I'm pretty new here too. Go for the 350, I had similar choices to yours and I used this thought to help figure out which car I really wanted: 'If I bought this car then drove past a 350z, would I feel sad?' ..... So I ended up with a 350 and I'm very happy
  5. I think it makes a lot of sense for Aston. They need to lower their average CO2 emissions because some idiot in Brussels says so. Rather than spend a lot of money on R&D and compromise their cars, they buy some Toyotas with very low emissions and slap a new badge on them. Job done!
  6. This looks great - I really like the rears. Not totally convinced about the front though.
  7. I think I might have posted a 'Hi, I'm thinking of getting XYZ' before but now I DO have a Z and will start to be a real member of the forum! I've been reading for a while now and this looks like a great friendly place with loads of decent info. I picked up my Gunmetal 350z last Monday and am loving it so far. I used to drive a Prelude Type-S which was nice until the engine died on me Since then I've been borrowing a 1.3 CVT from my mother.. no handling, no speed and certainly no self esteem! Anyway, some pics... I'll probably start a car thread soonish. I want to do some very subtly and tasteful mods The car: '03 Gunmetal Grey 350z GT with Alezan leather interior & Nismo catback Nismo exhaust and rear parking sensors (which I want to get colour coded): Front bumper - this has a small crease which I want to get worked out (I understand you can heat the plastic slightly to reshape it?!) then want a di-noc bit on the lower 'mouth' if you know what I mean....
  8. Hi everyone. I'll post a proper "hello" later as I've just picked up a nice 03 350z in Gunmetal Grey The rear strut cover has some scratches on it and I've seen people cover it with 3m carbon di-noc which looks pretty awesome. The questions I have are: what dimensions are needed? Where from? How much? Do I need anything else? (e.g the di-noc primer?)
  9. Tom Jones 196? lol are you high today mate :kicking TBH its good you have made me laugh alot so its all good. Why is it a bad sign that it has lots of owners. My 106diesel had 8 owners but never missed a beat. It's a bit like a GF ... lots of previous owners (can I say that Nixy/Vik ?) is not a good thing IMO sites back and waits for a damn good flaming Depends how much it's been ragged
  10. Where and when was that? Sounds like a great deal on that one..
  11. Good evening gentlemen, I'd appreciate your advice on what a fair price would be for this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1552259.htm
  12. Thanks for the quick replies this is the car: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1552259.htm What would you suggest is a reasonable price for a car like that? The forum threads that I had read about the clutch seemed to be mostly USA based... Would a Nissan dealer want to change the clutch based on how old the car is or would they do it purely on an as needed basis? This car had the clutch changed during a big P3 service..... The HPI check came in clear and it looks like the car has spent half its time in London and half in Oxford (maybe owned by family members or something)...
  13. Hi everyone! I have been lurking for a few days trying to get a feel for the place and thinking very strongly about a 350z (for quite a while now). I used to drive a nice Pearl White Honda Prelude Type-S until the engine lost compression driving back from work one day Since I have fancied some RWD action for quite a while the 350z is now looking like a serious option (I'll probably sell the Type-S as is or maybe look into fixing it up and then selling on.. it is a fun car). I have spotted a 350z that I like but have some questions about it that concern me, I'd really appreciate any advice you guys could give: 1) The clutch was replaced mid 20k miles.... is this normal? I have been reading on some US forums which seem to suggest it may be... but I don't want to be replacing clutches every 20k miles!! 2) The car currently has 5 previous owners and is a 2003 yet has full Nissan Dealer service history and it looks like the owners were around the same area, should I be really worried? ( I am) 3) How often do the brake discs need replacing? 4) Do the 350z engines burn any oil? What is considered normal/abnormal? I think that is it for now
  14. Hi Guys... this is my first post and I'll introduce myself later (thinking seriously about getting a 350).. anyway I was browsing around and noticed this. I think the problem you are having with the iPhone is that it isn't detecting enough impedance on the headphone port so assumes that nothing is connected. Try adding a resistor (~ 32 Ohm) to each channel. ... I havn't done analogue electronics for a while but I think this should work You can probably get the resistors from Maplin for 10p each
