Well not exactly weekly but every two weeks I defiantly check everything and haven't notice anything untoward . I will try that once they have used there free time they have promise investigating and cleaning

Right just getting out of having a meeting with Nissan , the tec said the car had two faults 1) starting issue - which was found to be a corroded earth wire under the washer bottle to the engine Which has now been fixed for free . 2) burning oil , the car is burning oil "crazy amounts" was over the top but none the less it looks like it is so it has to be done, it's abit strange as it only seems to smoke when idling but clears up when it is Rev'd They are adment they have not caused it but have agreed to do a few hour's work for free so can't complain really . They're going to start with suction pipe on plenum then work through cam covers etc I Will update again once I find out a cause Yip Mileage was 47085 when I went today it was 47087 they said they test drove it . And tank was 3/4 full when I went today it was still 3/4 full

Yeah thats it so far , sorry for keep making new thread They reconditiond my ecu and replaced all my coil pack the first time mate Am at the garage now so will update in a min

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=50923 is what it originally went in for - everytime I pressed the clutch down it cut out , then last wed it just died so got It piggy backed to Nissan no smoking issue at all . Now today they have said this Am not sure how they have come to these conclusion so am heading down there now , not happy .

Not sure mate it was in for a fault of snapped earth wire then they wrang up the day saying when they got it started it was blowing @*!# loads of smoke and was burning big amounts of oil , going to go down in my dinner break to see how bad it is 2011 is defiantly not my year had nothing but trouble with it

It's a 53 mate av already had the cam cover ( that the plugs go through) replace in January

hello just a quick one my car has just started smoking and is burning crazy amounts of oil dose any one no what could it be ? ( common faults like cylinder head etc ) just Nissan have said they don't no what it is and need to strip engine down gutted

Have a look on the back of the door it should tell you roughly what dose what , take it out and look at the side there should be a bridge in the plastic covering between the to legs that stick out of it , if u still can't tell get a electrical tester stick it on continuity normally represented by a picture of a bell and stick either lead on either side leg and u should here it beep if it dosent it's nackered mate There should also be a fuse in the back of you head unit so check that also

Looks just need to get rid of that big ariel , get a Tarmac stubby ariel and it's complete how much was it for the full car to be done ?

You could try linking the switch out to see if that works but never known of anyone trying this mate

Would be good to no cost of kit etc as am looking to go down same route in the near future

1) see husky at akari designs he seem's to be the go to guy about electrical / electronic questions 2) Could be brake pistons being sticky or warped disks if found to be disks traders on here can supply these like zmanalex etc . 3) I would ask husky also

There is two fuse boxes in the 350z, one in the foot well of the drivers side ( which dose internal appliances ) and other is in the battery compartment under the bonnet (which dose main functional appliances for engine )

Well the erratic Idle dosent matter any more as the car droped off at a set off tragic lights yesterday and wouldn't start , with the same fault it had 2month ago so it got a piggy back to Nissan to be looked at again . Had nothing but trouble with this car this year

nope this is a single intake system the HR engine has two intakes .
