  1. The guy that called from Preston said they were running an event this Sunday as they had a new 370z Roadster in and were offering 1 hour slots for existing 350z owners to come down and see what we think. I think they are open 12 - 4 and said the 2pm slot had gone, so offered me 12, 1 or 3pm. I'm not sure whether I really want one, but if it means I can get behind the wheel and give it a go I'll go down - I took the 3pm slot. For those in the North West that use the Chorley group, even Preston admitted that the Blackpool branch is their 350 / 370 specialist branch. So if you wanted to get some joy looking at one, they might be your best bet?
  2. I got a call from Chorley Nissan (Preston) today offering the same. I knew this was coming as when I was looking for my 350 a couple of months back, the Blackpool branch told me they expected to get more in as Nissan were about to release this offer.
  3. Pre or post face-lift, I got the impression they were different but I could be wrong.
  4. Thanks for that. I will work out where my nearest Netto would be and see if I can get my hands on one!
  5. I live in Preston and can just about see the Ribble Bikes shop from my flat, in fact I have just been to the chippy next door to it. Actually I think they have moved to a bigger unit to concentrate on internet sales, but the old shop has their stuff all over the outside still. A lot of the guys round here that take cycling reasonably seriously have bought from them and I think they have a good reputation. I was speaking to a guy who does iron man in the pub on Sunday, and his bike was from them too and he seemed keen on it. My place has a similar scheme. Maybe I should visit them given my chips and beer diet.
  6. +1 for the R32. If I needed some rear space, I think that's what it would have to be for me.
  7. I agree with Dave, it's normal and mine is the same. As I understand its the amp that is powered up to support your phone connection via bluetooth. My previous cars have all required the radio to be on at least for the bluetooth to work. I assume the Zed is like this so phone calls can be received made even with the radio off. Wes
  8. Found this: http://cheaper-online.co.uk/850w-portab ... -2304.html I'm from Blackpool and this is right near the girlfriend's house. Might take a look!
  9. Thanks Chris. Didn't even think about a generator, and that is a lot cheaper than I thought one would be - but as you say, out of stock. I'll have a think and a look round and see what I can find.
  10. Hi, I would like to get myself a Dual-Action polisher (something like a Meguiars G220), but the trouble I have is that I live in a flat with an underground parking space - which is great for security, but not so good for anything that needs electric as there are no accessible plug sockets. Would it be an option and workable for me to get an inverter, connect it to the battery and run the polisher (and anything I decide to use in future) off this. Obviously the last thing I want to do is anything that may damage the electrics on the car, so wanted your input. I think the G220 is 550W, so if this is an option, what wattage inverter would I need? 550W+? Can I get one that is too high? Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Cheers, Wes

To be honest, I have seen a lot of posts of people getting new wheels, and they're good, but nothing that made me think I want them. These are seriously cool though. I'm going to go and cut my credit card up before I have a beer!
  12. Hi, Funny you should post this. I have just bought some too for my '07. Changing the fronts looks ok, and there is definitely a post about this knocking about if you have a search for one. Actually, think this is the one i was thinking of... viewtopic.php?f=35&t=26676&hilit=indicator+guide Im thinking of ordering some LED side lights and doing these at the same time. I might be wrong (and hope I am), but I suspect the rear ones are a bumper off job - not that it looks too bad. I'm off work next week and up in the lakes, so going to do mine then - or at least thats the plan. Wes

    Rays and spacers????

+1 for 25/20 - I have these on my Rays too and got them off Chill Red (Sarah), although I know others sell them too. This thread shows a few opinions as well: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=38020
  14. Mine's Universal Silver not Gun Metal, but a couple of weeks ago I bought both the Nissan touch-up stick and a touch up kit from paints4u (http://www.paints4u.com/productsByCat.a ... egoryID=42) Nissan ordered the touch-up stick(s) based on my reg and colour code of K23 as they were out of stock. paints4u sent me the kit based on my car details and also colour code. The Nissan was ok (cost £4.95), but for me the paints4u one (£13.98 for the kit) was much better. I was really suprised how good the match was. They make up sprays and all sorts. I would certainly buy stuff from them, but still use a proper bodyshop for anything more than the odd scratch. Wes
  15. Thanks Mark, For me, this is one of the most useful posts I've read. Please PM with a cost for all of the above on a DE Up-rev that is currently completely stock. No major rush, I see you have a few people to respond to and anticipating the cost it will be a good 1 - 2 months before I could afford it! . A breakdown of the cost for each component would be good as if it is out of my price range (that being the money the girlfriend allows me to spend), I may have to postpone a couple.
