  1. my 2200 litre tank is a hundred times easier to maintain than my smaller tanks i started with 240 litres and progressed (400 litre, 800 litre, then this one)
  2. its 8.5 ft (L) x 3ft (D) x 3.5ft (H)
  3. this is my other baby. its 2200 litre marine tank built into my wall on the first floor of our house. this is when first set up with no fish not the best pics but first ones i found
  4. he really didnt like it. what the hell is that about? i dont think i can agree with anything he said. mine is a post 06 model though is there really that much difference. the one thing i really really didnt agree with... the noise i think it sounds amazing!!
  5. what about just buying an extended warranty for the 300c. you dont have to go with chrysler there are loads of sites like warranty direct etc
  6. i like it very tasteful. love the black insert
  7. that probably explains it, my tt hood was a nightmare always covered in mildew. took so much work to get rid of it and it didnt disapear completely
  8. thanks for your help guys..... know what im doing this weekend
  9. so you can just treat it like a normal convertible roof? the only reason i ask is that the tt roof was very much a material where as my z roof feels almost plasticky in texture?
  10. Hi guys and girls, can anyone help with my query. Before my Z convertible i had an audi tt convertible. The roof was in bad shape and needed waterproofing so i bought some fabsil and painted it on to the roof. It was brilliant made the roof look like new and water beaded off it like when you wax your car thus keeping it clean and stopping mould and mildew setting in. question is can i use this product on my 350z convertible roof? its only an 06 car and the roof seems in good nick but if i could get water to bead off it again and keep it looking like new that would be great as i already have the product so its at no cost. any thoughts most appreciated?
  11. not sure how to solve the dribble but what about prevention. if you give the area where the water is sitting a couple of coats of a good wax (i recommend collinite) then the water wont be sitting on the paint. it should hopefully run straight off if not then it will bead ontop of the wax away from your paint!
  12. +1 A 20 pack of Marlboro is over £6 now - £5 of that is tax - its ludicrous enough as it is thank you very much! i still think they should put it up. yes your paying for it but as stated above its a luxury and benefits no one, seeing as some one has got to foot the bill why not this instead of the nhs workers as discussed above.
  13. i'm probably going to get flamed for this because its a bit biased as im a non smoker and a only drink on special occasions. I cant believe they havent put the tax up on booze and fags. Why should everyone suffer with a 2.5% vat increase and public sector workers have there pay frozen when a luxury which no one any good goes untouched. i.e joe bloggs who is a nhs worker giving his 110% everyday helping needy people has a pay freeze no matter how hard he works and how much he deserves it but people who smoke and drink for the better of no one doesnt suffer in anyway. i think that is crazy. In the most part i agree but i would have thought they would have looked at luxuries first before anything
  14. good right up. very clear. could the same not be said for different levels of tyre wear though which is completely unavoidable. i.e my old company car was a vauxhall astra vxr and that would go through 2 sets of front tyres before the rears needed replacing. i think the combination of my spirited driving and too much power in a fwd car had a lot to do with it. anyway the point is whilst my front ones are wearing out and the back ones are fine then surely these would react the same way as having two different brands of tyres on front and back. grippy on the back and not so much on the front. i dont believe however that people would go about replacing half worn tyres just to match them up every time you get unbalanced levels of tread. not arguing with what you have said but i just dont believe its as scary a situation as you make out. (just my two pence worth). as long as you learn the tolerences of your car and drive to its limits
  15. absolutely stunning engine bays, looks like a lot of money spent there. thanks for everyones help. btw how do you remove the engine cover?

  18. Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone cleans there engine bay on the 350z. i used to do it all the time with my tt but the 350z engine bay is so full of stuff i dont understand im scared of hosing it down and causing damage. Is there anything i should cover up before spraying the engine with water. i have put a picture so you can highlight areas that are dangerous to get wet. Btw i know to only use a gentle spray of the hose and not to blast it with the pressure washer any help much appreciated?
  19. Hey peeps, any body got any pics of there aftermarket double din installation. thinking of replacing the bose with something but i want it to be a good fit i.e not sticking out further than the current headunit any pics much appreciated thansk k
  20. so is all i need 5 litres of oil (5w30?) an oil filter an air filter spark plugs in addition to this it would be beneficial to change aux belts (what does this consist of and how much will it cost?) gearbox oil (is this a specific type of oil and how much does it cost?) diff oil (is this a specific type of oil and how much does it cost?)
  21. ive only had the car for 5 days so it may have been low when i bought it. is there any checks i can do or should i just fill it up and see how i get on? p.s the car was on a slope when i checked it with the boot being lower than the bonnet if that makes sense (i.e the car facing uphill)
  22. Hi guys and girls, my Z is due a p3 service at the end of july. I have a trusted mechanic who has worked on all of my cars and specialises in high performance cars so i want him to do the P3 on my Z. He is a brilliant mechanic but he doesnt bother shopping around for parts so they are always expensive from him therefore i like to supply my own. What parts do i need to supply him with and where can i get them from at the best price? any help much appreciated kev
  23. Hi Guys and girls, can anyone help i was checking my fluid levels before we took the z out for a long drive and noticed that my power steering fluid was below cold min (the car was cold not been used for 24hours) is this anything to worry about? how do i fill it up and what with (i.e where to buy the fluid from)?
  24. Hi Guys and girls, does anyone know of anyway of modding the leds in the headlights of post 06 models. As you can see from the pics there are 4 orange leds in my headlights that activate when i put my sidelights on. Is there anyway to replace these orange leds with super bright white leds to look like led drls like audi's have. any help much appreciated?
