  1. If it fires up, everything works but no sound then im 99% sure it will be the amp on wire
  2. I doubt it very much indeed, they will be protected, segregated and looked after. Look at the Woolwich murderers, prison officers have been suspended over an altercation
  3. I would have both, drive the leaf to work all week then all that petrol money saved for the weekend
  4. So much want
  5. Did you connect the amp on wire Blue & white If you didn't the the Bose amp will be sleeping
  6. I remember when I got my Zed most at work wanted a look and were making nice comments, one to$$er said it's not a 'proper' sports car I said it's a coupe, 2 seater, V6 engine and RWD and you are an idiot
  7. No worries it's what this place is all about, I haven't even got a Zed anymore
  8. Yeah getting the unit out shouldn't be too tricky. Be aware there are 2 ways it may be fitted - 1. It may be attached to the centre console as the Bose is 2. It may be screwed into the Bose fixings and attached to the body of the car Either way will become apparent as you remove the centre console, each way has its benefits/drawbacks....
  9. They won't 'get what they deserve' in prison, they will be in segregation with the nonces who will no doubt revel in stories like this.... the mother will get the worst but as already stated we (taxpayers) will now be paying for this scum to be looked after. As for somewhere other than prison or the death penalty there is zero chance of either in these times, in fact if either of these monsters do get anything done to them in prison they will be entitled to compensation, now that really is sick
  10. Not much you can do really.... 0.5mb is the same as some people get in rural areas, its woeful but as said above it will be in the small print and nothing you can do I expect.... as advised speak to them in a calm manner and explain the situation, you never know you might get a good response
  11. Lane 1 = lorries / grannies / occasional proper driver tucking in Lane 2 = overtaking lorries / middle lane hoggers / occasional person moving out of the way of a 100+ speeder Lane 3 = occasional lorry making a 3 way road block / middle lane hoggers overtaking other middle lane hoggers / ALL AUDI/BMWs/motorbikes For the M25 shuffle that as you can get anyone in any lane
  12. Sounds like the RCAs are just plugged in wrong. Red/white = fronts Yellow/black = rears Bit of a pain to get it out just to swap them around, how is your volume? If you have to crank it up to almost full then consider splicing your RCA connectors while you have everything out, there is a good guide here - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/58947-reduced-sound-out-put-after-replacing-oe-bose/page__fromsearch__1
  13. im guessing this for the z only tho, As my s14 had about £700 of cheap toyosports/japspeed bolts on put on and went from running a 14.9 second at pod to a PB of 14.3 Oh yes Zed related, its just a big lazy lump that you can make sound awesome but can't really tune or get much out of without spending big bucks, that was my point
  14. To save you the trouble see this equation - Mods less than £2k < no impact
  15. I don't think it's about the money it's about right v wrong, I the impression from his son & wife's quotes that he is the sort of man that would chase someone half a mile if they pinched a mars bar.... not a bad thing in my book but unfortunately you never know who you are dealing with...
  16. Pair of oakleys make you safer? Don't forget the pinstriped shirt with white collar & cuffs...
  17. http://bit.ly/12VYuOH
  18. Doesn't apply to the South East anyway because anytime you actually want to go anywhere you can never get anywhere near the speed limit anyway
  19. Make running a red light look a bit pedestrian
  20. Maybe all cars should have DRS & KERS that can be activated by the overhead gantry
  21. Yep instead of all the motorway signs telling you when you have to slow down they could also tell you when you can speed up. I travelled back from Andover to London on the M3 at 1am this morning and I could have safely done the whole motorway stretch at 100mph... One thing to take into account is the cost of travelling at those speeds, even averaging 80mph instead of 70mph seriously affects the cost of the journey Maybe all that would happen is reps and company/hire car users would travel at warp speed as no worries, in my experience these are often the worst drivers
  22. Sounds like a good deal if they are in top condition
  23. Welcome Have a look around, a Scorpion is a good and popular choice but there are other options around.... Cobra for example
  24. You will, easily. The VUS aren't that tough really, which is why they provide outstanding feel. The MPSS give nigh-on equal feel, but last a shed load longer. Really, unless you are stone broke and cannot afford the extra £200 to even chuck on a credit card for a couple of months, there is no reason not to fit the MPSS these days. They are the best tyre available in all departments, full stop. If you're not going on track it doesn't honestly matter what tyre you have as long as they can handle the wet and they're in a set all round. I feel that chucking on MPSS (yes, they're an excellent tyre) might be overkill if its purely for going to and from work, going to see family and friends and maybe a short stint of twistys and the excess cost could be used on fuel or service. Just my 2p - I'm sure I'll be shouted down! Nope to be honest you are most probably right, but say on one of those twistys you go round a blind corner and find something you didn't expect, not saying better tyres would save you but they could and that was always good enough for me. I never set tyre on a track but in 3.5 years spent £1.6k on rubber, small change really in the grand scheme if things....
