  1. Have read good reports on here re Denso plugs. Is the iridium FXE22HR/11 the correct plug for a 2004 vehicle?
  2. If it's cold enough to freeze the fuel cap shut I wouldn't be driving my zed, very brave of you mate
  3. None in Shrewsbury yet, but plenty in other parts of the county. Can't see my baby turning a wheel in anger this weekend though!!
  4. 55 plate blade coupe in Meole Brace today, flashed my lights and got a wave, don't see many other zeds in Shrewsbury so a nice surprise
  5. Will definitely give this a go as the bose is currently one skip away from being thrashed into oblivion by a hammer! If it works I'll hail you as an electronic genius
  6. My opinion of Talk Talk................ If Talk Talk were the only telecommunications provider left on the planet I'd consider climbing to the top of the tallest tree and shouting before using them Left without a landline for nearly a month due to their incompetence
  7. Like many on here the zed isn't my regular drive, I jointly own, with two others, a battered old astra diesel to go to and from work and a polo GT as my fishing car. The zed was an impulsive buy as a little treat to myself when I broke up with my fiancee and recently I've been trying to justify to myself the considerable expense of running a vehicle which has no real necessity. Friday I drove the zed for the first time in ten days and totally blew away any doubt about the worth of keeping her!! To sum up in a sentence, gorgeous on the eye and an absolute pleasure to drive Hence can't imagine life without the zed
  8. Baschurch road out of Shrewsbury about 14:30 yesterday, would have acknowledged but was in my fishing car (white GT polo)
  9. RIP young man and young lady Deepest condolences to family and friends Head bowed Stretch
  10. Good move and one you'll certainly not regret. Prettiest and most fun car on the market for the money bar none in my opinion, enjoy
  11. Have experienced it on several occasions, plenty of room to overtake without any inconvenience to the oncoming vehicle but still get the flashing lights and predictable gestures, a little hint of jealousy I reckon, pathetic really!!
  12. My zeds developed a tinny metalic rattle which seems to emanate from the offside front wheel area. It's intermittent and generally occurs when I'm turning at a slow speed. Any ideas as it's beginning to drive me mad!
  13. This afternoon in Welshpool
  14. City centre parked up opposite the Bear and Billet pub
  15. Mines also an 04 GT and when I first got her was quite surprised at how quick she came up to running temp but have since realised that's normal for the zed so theres nothing to be concerned about mate
  16. Sunday evening waiting patiently for my woman to put on her face before a night out (guys you know what it's like!! no offence to all the ladies on here) I noticed an Audi TT parked quite close to the front of my zed. At that moment its reversing lights came on and it proceded to back quite forcefully into my pride and joy . Thankfully no noticeable damage has been done but understandably I'm f###ing fuming , I've seen the car there before so when I catch up with the culprit I may not be responsible for my actions!! What really rankles me is that firstly it was totally unnecessary as there was enough room to manoeuvre a tank and secondly you would think that the other party would have more respect for his own motor as it was a tidy car. Some people hey
  17. 04 plate and coming up 45k. 39k on the clock when I got her six months ago so done 6k in her and enjoyed every single mile
  18. This morning, northbound A5/ A483 between Chester and Shrewsbury. White coupe A483 and GM coupe A5 gave thumbs up to both but no response!
  19. The problem with buying a vehicle like the zed is that the dealer knows that you want that specific car and if it's a good example there will definitely be other punters interested. Not like haggling over a vectra or mondeo
  20. Broke up with my fiancee on the Saturday spent Sunday and Monday maudling, crying and cancelling the wedding etc. Pulled myself together Monday evening and thought right it's time to get a zed so first thing Tuesday scoured the net for a suitable car. Found what looked the best example a UK 04 Kuro GT with 39000 on the clock priced at £11,500, the only problem was that the dealer was a 570 mile round trip away so not really viable to view before purchase! So took a chance put a deposit on the vehicle and picked it up a week later. Utter stupidity really as I'd never even sat in a zed before let alone driven one plus the car may have been a dog but thankfully all turned out well. Didn't have a plan B in place incase the car was not as I expected but she was gorgeous and I fell in love with her straight away. Not quite as reckless as Danny but looking back not the most sensible way to purchase a vehicle
  21. Taking it round to my mates tonight and he's going to use the info you posted to obtain the fault code. The cars running fine so hopefully it'll be something trivial. Big thanks for the info mate
  22. Thanks for the info guys. Drove the 40 miles back from Chester this morning and it drove fine so not unduly concerned. Spoke to a chap at work who's pretty clued up and he reckons a likely cause may have been a coil pack problem resulting in a misfire. Will get my mechanic pal on the case to have a look at it
  23. Excuse my ignorance but how do you access the code?
  24. Drove my car about a mile to my local cashpoint, started her up after withdrawing some cash and the engine cut out at the next junction, (dont think it stalled but not 100% sure on that). Restarted the car no problem but the malfuction indicator light lit up on the dash. Continued on my 40 mile journey and the car drove fine albeit with the light continuing to be illuminated, the only irregularity I noticed was that the mpg reading on the trip computer was a little random showing a slightly higher than expected reading and fluctuating more than usual. Any ideas on what the problem may be and how urgent is it to get professional diagnosis?
  25. Eastbound on the A5 and being driven by a very glamorous lady would have given her a wave but I was in the battered old diesel astra company car!
