  1. So sorry to hear this Mitch - just when you seemed to be happy as well! It's very scary when you've had a bad experience because you're just waiting for the next one to turn out the same! I'm sure you feel gutted at the moment but you'll be fine. I'm only a couple of weeks away from moving out of the house I own with my ex and into my place and you are more than welcome to come over any time to talk zeds, have a bitch and drink wine! I don't know what the night life is like in Market Weighton where i'm moving to but i think unless you want a farmer you might be out of luck........ I'll introduce you to Markie my GBF - that's the most uncomplicated type of fella to have around!

Markies cunning plan appears to be working a charm nixy :p

  2. You are worrying too much, I took mine to a normal MOT place a few months back. They test the brakes at about 5mph at most. Of all the threads I read on line, it would appear that the warning not to do RWD car's on these thing's is more for operator safety than to do with the LSD.

  3. Correct me if im wrong, but he will only loose his no claims if HE claims for his own damage.

You sound like you let him away too easily. I hope you took down his registration number? Normaly I try to get that, name, phone number, name of insurance company.

If the damage is there, claim him.

Hell get a whiplash claim in as well, takes 2 years or so, but you cant knock 3 grand for nothing. ;)

  4. Full set of Eibach Pro lowering springs, 30mm drop.

Recently purchased off jacr87 who only done 3000 miles on them. I have not fitted these to my car, as unfortunately I cant afford the wheels I'm after just now, and probably not for another year or so.

£139 inc postage or £120 collected. I believe they sell new for over £200.

    Springs now SOLD

  5. Our materials expert at work reckons that there may have been a manufacturing defect. He says that it is possible for the crack to have been slowly propagating - something I didn't think would happen with a brittle material like glass

Is there any more jobs coming up in your work as a materials expert? I reckon I could state the obvious as a day job as well :p
