  1. Won't all this dynamat just add a hell of a lot of weight to an already heavy car? Surely coating that cavern behind the seats + boot + doors is adding a good 20-30kg of weight?

    Just a thought!

  2. Anyway all this cleaning has rubbed off on the missus as for the first time in about 6 months she wants to clean out the inside of her car..... fair enough... im looking after the baby watching 'best ever hidden camera show' and on me lappy... so happy days babe

Wifes doing the cleaning and your watching pr0n on the laptop? :p

  3. Lack of hotwater and heating has to be one of the biggest discomforts ever, actualy makes you realise how helpless we are without technology these days! I went camping over new year in -15 with some mates to try doing some survival stuff, no tents etc. They loved it, but i was just wet, uncomfortable and miserable!

Gimme central heating anyday. Good news your sorted anyway

  4. Don't have the Zed yet, but when cruising I love to just stick on an hour long episode of State of Trance by Armin Van Buuren, just sit back and chill.

This has been a great thread, I've listened to a lot of music i like which i would never have come across, keep it coming guys!

  5. Oh yeah! Can see it now ;)

Its that long sloping front with the sloping lights, just reminds me of an Integra! I like it when cars build style on their own looks instead of dragging up styles from the past. The Z is already a goregous car with lovely lines, and apart from a very small minority, most kits just butcher its looks making a classy car look chavish and max flowery.

  6. Cheers for all the comments guys, don't know if they've helped or not lol. I definately wouldn't go for the 1 series as they really don't do it for me. The only one that is tempting me atm is an autovogue 335d, like I said previous a mapped 335d absolutely destroys the Z performance wise and that is really tempting. The Z isn't exactly a slouch but it's really not that quick either and to really alter performance you have to go FI and I couldn't justify the costs. I've decided to give it a couple of months and see how I feel then, if I keep the Z I think i will freshen it up a bit.

To be honest it sounds like your just a bit hurt about being humped by the BMW, other than that it appears you still actualy like the Z, and the comfort it offers etc? Why not consider SC? surely the costs are less than going to buy a new car altogether, then you get to keep your favourite car with a performance upgrade and get to enjoy it all over again? :)

  7. Avoid Dublin, its the most expensive weekend trip I've ever been on. They are aware of the stag doo culture the city has and simply bump up their prices to capitalise on this. I love Ireland, but Dublin's drink prices were a joke.

Definitely go for one of the eastern European countries, like Krakow! Last I heard it was rather cheap and the women where stunning!

  8. If someone has intentionally cut into a queue of traffic. E.g. Left lane straight on. Right lane turn right only. They drive up the right lane which is free from traffic to jump in left and go straight on, I'll always try and hold them up. It's Britain goddamit, and we LOVE TO QUEUE!

If it's just merging traffic or junctions whatever, I'll always let people in/out.

Thats just like me - loads of those on my commute and you always know who is going to do it. I just put my foot down on those occasions and they end up having to go around the roundabout. It does wind me up if they manage to cut me up but unfortunately i'm not that scary.........(although i'm sure some people would say otherwise....) I do admit i used to do the turn right, go all the way around the roundabout to effectively go straight on or left but i stopped doing that when I got a car that sticks out like a sore thumb as people get to know your habits!

I hate folk who queue like that! :p if there is a sign saying lane closes in 800 yards, why does everyone pull into the open lane and start queuing 800 yards away? all it does is increase the length of the queue and block traffic lights further back up the road...

If folk actually drove up to when the lane closed and you then had 2 lanes of queue and people allowed others to merge in sensibly, then the tailback would be half as long and traffic over all would be less hindered. I'm afraid that when it says lane ends in 800 yards, I'm one of those c0cks that drives 750 yards then pulls in, its all a matter of distance and time.

  9. I think things have moved on now, the Supra was a fantastic car, but its just dated, even looks dated now.

350z is the teenage hot chick, Supra's the mother dressed up trying to look like the teenage hot chick. Both good rides though.

  10. I can be prone to get rather aggrivated at the odd driver now and then, but never to the point i would get out of my car.

I find that its not the fact i didnt 'get into the space' or whatever it may be, its more the fact that the person is consciously making it their goal not to let me in. Its the arrogance of someone or the selfishness of them that usualy bugs me. I know fine well i should have patience and wait my turn, but i always feel that if it was me in their shoes, id have let me in. bah, who knows the idiosyncrasies of road rage, but id never get out the car and get physical.

  11. I'm not a big fan of large elaborate body kits, or over styling. But you seem to have pulled off subtle changes very well.

That has to be the nicest Z I've seen. When I get mine, I'll probably follow your lead. Don't hate me :p

  12. Hi mate and welcome to the forum.

Good to have yet another Scot on board.

I am just up the road a bit in Perth and plenty Scottish members on here.

You will probably start seeing me quite soon then, as the g/f stays in Crieff, so I'm around Perth quite often :)

Yes, 2 minutes away. Anything you need a help with or want to see then let me know, always willing to help.

I promise once you buy it you will not be able to stop yourself from the odd modification. I have already changed the wheels, put a K2 exhaust on, the Sat Nav for the cubby hole which a member on this site builds (Nurrish) and best of all the D2 Throttle Controller

Thanks for the offer mate, I'll probably pick your brain when I see one that I like, and yes, I have those mods on my list already, they will be the first to be purchased!

  13. Cheers for the welcomes guys, its nice to be part of an active OC again.

:welcome: from a fellow Glasgow member.

Hi mate, I live not far from Partick, just up past Hyndland :)

:welcome: but if you live in scotland you have to fill in an application form now and have an interview as we are oversubscribed with scottish people.

I'd happily do an interview, but you probably wouldn't understand the Glasgow dialect mate

  14. Hi all!

Soon to be owner of a 350z, all I have to do is find the right one....before all my current insurance/tax needs renewing in a month.

I used to own a nice clean modified imported Nissan Pulsar as my first car, which was running around 320bhp with Quaiffe gearbox and all the goodies required to track. But it seems as though the car just wanted to break constantly, and in the end it cost me a fortune to keep fixing so I got rid, saved up a few bucks and I've decided to buy something that was made to be quick from the factory!

I was driven around a lot in a 350z as my old boss owned one, so I love them to bits and its just about to be a small dream come true.

Hope to see you all at some meets in the future etc!

    Cheers :)
