  1. I always wave, thumbs up or flash other z's and get about 75% waving back - don't see many though. Some-one mentioned that may be because z's are a bit more exclusive, so how about adopting a more exclusive acknowledgement? Perhaps present a nipple to passing z's. you could even then adopt this as a pedestrian so the z' driver would know you are too? just a thought..
  2. Recently had to spend a bit on the Z which left me feeling a bit glum. Plus the car was looking a bit tired - so to cheer both the car and me up I had a professional give it a clean. If you click on a photo it brings them up bigger, must say I am well impressed and now totally back in love with my Z. http://dwrdetailing.com/nissan-350z/

Cos our sheep carry flick knives and will nick your wheels.

Brave or stupid. At this point we figured attaching a plow to the Z may well be necessary, and probably a 1st.

Same place - different weather... We do have some amazing roads up here.

If he was at BLakey Ridge he is in the North Yorkshire moors, about 15 minutes south of Middlesbrough.

that looks like you were at the Lion Inn on Blakey ridge? If so thats my neck of the woods, they get regular helicopter landings as its a designated place for search and rescue, etc. there are some brilliant raods up here (provided they're dry) and only this morning i was out for a blast up near there. Only down side is the fuel consumption when having that sort of fun...
  8. Thats got to be the cleanest snatch i have ever seen Legend... that has to be the best one liner ever on this site. Even my missus laughed out loud at that one. You made my day mate
  9. Hello and there are plenty of people on here who can help you get your Zed back into shape
  10. Hello, have a look at this thread from a while back. I have done this run a couple of times since and found similar economy - i aim for 2500 revs in 6th gear with the cruise control on. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=49191 Jay.
  11. that would be right - its not so long ago i questioned why my speedo, digital speed display, and average speed (when reset) all said different things at the same time! Nice car Raptor - i particularly like the colour
  12. north on the A19 was passed by a gunmetal Z. Flashed him in and got a couple of indicators back. If i had my cruise control on at 70, what was he doing.....
  13. Price seems a bit high for a non GT import with issues to sort out. I did a lot of research before buying mine, and for that kind of cash you should be able to find a mint uk car with full history. Just think you should try and knock them down, or get the necessary work done. Only my opinion of course... Good luck with the purchase.
  14. Strewth, i guess you need a bit of patience then... Have cut and paste this info into my 350z tips folder. Cheers, J.
  15. Serious question. How exactly do you colour wheels? Do you go to the local hardware and get a can of spray paint for metal? Do you have to prepare them, etc. ? I have read about others 'doing' their wheels - but how?
  16. December... put a whole new slant on drifting.
  17. Thanks for the thoughts. did check my shoes out of "dog poo instinct" and it wasn't something i stood in. I have copied keysers pics of the fuel line, and went out to check... Only to find the missus has gone off to the swimming baths in the 350z - I am hoping to see her again (the Z that is) The minute she gets back i will be out sniffing and checking that fuel line. J.
  18. leaking/corroded fuel overflow pipe could be something completely different though i am actually a bit worried about this, how is the smell getting into the car?
  19. Just moved the car from the street onto my drive (10 metres), and now inside the car smells of petrol - its really strong smell... never happened before in nearlly two years of ownership, got the neighbour to have a sniff and he was shocked too. What could cause that? J.
  20. Once that is on please post a pic of it place - cos i reckon i want one, but need to know what it looks like. (I dont know what it does or where it goes, but i want one)....

    P4 service

I think its time i got brave and did some DIY jobs on the Z. You lot cant all be expert mechanics, so statistically i should be able to have a go... Taking the labour cost out is gonna save a fair bit of money i reckon.

    P4 service

Cheers for that. i think a message to ZMANALEX might be worthwhile. after your P10 service i dont suppose you could take the time to list on here what you did, how long it took and what it cost? i know thats a bit cheeky of me , but i have no bench mark for comparing anything. Good luck with the service

    P4 service

The P4 bit was me making up my own service schedule are you able to help with the costs i need above, and where i can get them from? I am actually in Middlesbrough, so if you sell the bits i need it might be useful...

    P4 service

I seem to have got a bit out of synch with my services. Therefore i am kind of inventing my own... just done 60k miles on a 54 reg Z and am proposing the following: Brake fluid - Millers racing brake fluid 300 plus. £13.87 from Opie. Braided brake hoses - no clue where to get them or how much..? Panel air filter - Cosworth to fit in standard box - no clue where to get them or how much..? Spark plugs - Denso iridium. £49.95 from ZMANALEX (saw this on a thread, so dont know if its still valid?). I changed the oil in February and put Millers XSS 5w30 in, so should be ok for a while. Any idea on how much i should be paying for the stuff above, and can i do it myself... J
