  1. The Mortimer station car park isn't my favourite place to leave the zed. Sometimes our driveway tarmaccing friends use one end as a temporary home
  2. Has anybody used these? I've had yellowstuff before and they were fine. However project MU have always been more expensive BUT have come down in price on eBay to be cheaper than yellowstuffs. Anybody have any experience?
  3. So bolting a 10inch sub in the Bose subwoofer recess will sound terrible, it needs to be boxed etc. But would a free air subwoofer sound ok? I know alot of you audio perverts don't like free air subs, but a decent one with the recess dynamatted properly sounds like an easier option than custom building a box that will fit in the recess. So has this been done? Would it work? And before anybody says anything I don't want a sub in the boot, I would like it nice and tucked away.
  4. Id say black personally
  5. It's the tread protruding from the arch and not the wheel or tyre that matters. That's another reason stretch tyres are used by some people, as a stretched tyres tread doesn't protrude from the arch and keeps the wheel setup legal. Police aren't really bothered about this sort of thing. HOWEVER if you were ever a part of a coroners investigation of an RTI, the legality of the car would maybe be scrutinised. I used to run a bit of poke on my 330 Clubsport and it looked great.
  6. Looks great. Even though I've had evo ownership, a scoob is still an itch I've yet to scratch.
  7. Good stuff! Maybe I need a Basingstoke zedshed branch!
  8. I paid 8k for an 06 facelift 297bhp with 27k on the clock in December. There are bargains to be had however with summer on the horizon the prices may stay as they are.
  9. You shouldn't really drive home with your numbers on your shoulders anyway. Should have a civvy jacket on!
  10. Interesting, I would like to see how these sound. Would normal 6.5 subs be too deep for the rear speaker recesses?
  11. Yea it probably would resonate which is why I was wondering about the boxing? 6.5 inch subs may not be very useful but two of them may be ok? I listen alot of house music etc which needs punchy bass rather than window rattling low down bass.
  12. This was mentioned in busters speaker install thread. I intend on replacing and amping the front speakers and leaving the rears disconnected, however JL and Hertz make 6.5 subwoofers which are the same size diameter as the rear speaker mounts. Now subwoofers normally have to boxed dont they? Is there any way of mounting maybe two 6.5 subs in the rear speaker mounts? This would make for a great stealth install to go with the front upgrade. Where would the amp go? Ideas appreciated.
  13. If the tax isn't a problem then just go for the facelift. More power and a nicer interior and exterior. Simples
  14. You don't have to be pulled over. As previously mentioned the officer can report you for summons. It's then down to the officer to prove what happened.
  15. All correct, and like you said it's highly unlikely the officer would carry it further. I doubt the CPS would have it tbh.
  16. Like I said, this isn't how police deal with speeders. Not happening.
  17. Your not getting done mate. Somebody pulling alongside you saying that doesn't really count Even if he was wearing uniform? Lol Even if he was wearing uniform. Even if he reported you for summons then the CPS would throw it out as there's not enough information. In my professional opinion you are not getting in trouble. It's probably an irate cop on the way home from a long shift!

  19. Ah right I didn't know if the cam bolts has to be bought separate. Was the front thrown out aswell?
  20. Is just the rear camber thrown out?
  21. Well they will normally use what's recommended in the service manual but it depends how anal you are about the quality if the oil you like to use etc. All personal preference really.
  22. Just bought some new H&R super sport springs from a member on here. They are supposed to give a bigger drop than the normal H&R sport springs. I'll get some pics up when they are on.
  23. I tend to supply certain bits to the garage myself, not just because it saves money but because I can select which oil etc I want. Specialists will have the good stuff in anyway, it's the other 'run of the mill' garages that I would personally supply my own bits to.
