  1. Thanks There's a few Zeds about with the twin turbo upgrade, be interesting to see how they compare to the supercharged ones in a £/bhp increase...
  2. Cheers Last thing I want on my next trip to Bedford is to be black flagged for noise regs! 87db drive by limit!
  3. I had my rear alignment changed when I bought my Zed as I noticed the uneven wear on the rears. It's now planted and only breaks traction when I'm heavy footed
  4. I might see if there's a body kit to turn mine into a Rover 600
  5. Currently being watched in myeBay... What sort of noise do they make? I don't want to go too loud....
  6. I've been asking about turbos today after finding this link http://www.airpowersystems.com/350z/jap ... urbo_1.htm The guys here reckon the Vortech supercharger is the mod to go for and suits the Zed better. Have a look at the recent thread and there's a massive thread on the mods nurrish is doing to his Zed.
  7. From my350z.com http://my350z.com/forum/2003-2008-nissa ... 599-a.html Don't think it went down well.....
  8. Thanks for the imput guys, was getting a rush of blood to the head reading the article in the first post - they made it seem very easy and complimentary to the Zed.
  9. I can't believe how much work's been involved - don't know how you kept your patience. How the first start goes well for you. 1/4 mile at Santa Pod?
  10. What are the advantages of the supercharger route compare to the twin turbos? Reading the pitch in that article, you don't need to much additional work with the turbos whereas I thought you had to do a lot more (I could be wrong) with the supercharger.
  11. Welcome on board - the motor looks great, love the Azure, couldn't find one when I was looking but the gunmetal hides the dirt well... Careful with Mitz @ CS, very easy to spend money with him! You won't find a nicer bloke though. He's right, the spacers made a really noticeable difference on mine - Mitz gets them from Eibach for a decent price... Mitz - where's my tenner??
  12. I'd be interested in this - anyone know if these are any good?
  13. Hi, I've seen a few threads with discussions, but has anyone actually fitted this kit? http://www.airpowersystems.com/350z/jap ... urbo_1.htm Looks really tempting, although a tad pricey! The headline figures of 431bhp & 420ft/lb torque!
  14. And me want to go out and play on the quiet roads!
  15. RT - I'm convinced you're on commission now!! Meo - if you're still after Falkens - have a look at Protyre - they're owned by a wholesaler called Micheldever who are the sole importers of Falken. RT's pitch has me convince though, as soon as I'm ready to change (v.soon) I'll be plumping for the Vreds and holding him personally responsible if they're rubbish!!
  16. The CO2 pistols are legal, but only up to a certain pressure (6ft/lbs for pistols & 12 ft/lbs for rifles) I could be out of date with that though! Used to own a Beretta 92FS but got rid after the neighbours complained about their fence looking like a pepper pot.
  17. Hi, Keep catching glimpses of this but never the reg! Was on the island by the Jet petrol station.
  18. Drifted my Grand Vitara U-turning there the other day moment!
  19. I lasted less than a year in the VW camp, in the first six months my GT was back at the dealer 9 times, will be long time before I go back to anything VAG. Been a Zed owner since July and never looked back, it's now a full on love affair with no problems (wood being touched - how wrong does that sound?!) Plus the guys here are
  20. Going to pop down to see the soon and probably book mine for some of that loving so I can have the shiniest Zed of them all! Well, for a week until the country lanes take their toll!
  21. Is this anyone on the forum's car? http://blog.midlandsdetailing.co.uk/200 ... detailing/

    Trackday tyres

Hello, I'm picking up a second set of 18s at the weekend and I want to get some road legal trackday tyres for them. I work for a tyre company and was hoping for some of our own products but they're a bit dear! Has anyone had first hand experience of trackday tyres and could recommend a brand/pattern I should look at? As mentioned above, they'll be for a second set of wheels so on-road performance isn't high on the list. Many Thanks John
  23. What a good website - thanks Geoff.
