no probs mate, they have always been spot on with me and use them always for wheels, car parts, exhausts, tyres... theyve been first class...
cant wait to see ur car with them fitted, the question is are you gonna put them to real use haha
Sorry I totally disagree with that statement about EBC.
I have no issues with the EBC turbogrooves and yellowstuffs that I am running, even on the track.
The yellowstuffs even have good cold bite for winter driving. yeah but how long do they last? I have to admit never used them but everyone I know who has is not happy with them
Other uprated pads such as DS2500's can give you some bottom twitching moments until you get some heat into them. news to me - I've run them with Brembo rotors and the PF/DBA combo - never had and 'bottom twitching moments' - even when driving in -10 last January
I'm not saying they are rubbish though, I've found they are better on the track than the Yellowstuffs but occassionally a little scary on the road. really weird - what lines and fluid were you using?
At the end of the day its how much cash you have to spend and what you are going to use them for.
If you can afford and want something that looks good the more you pay the more bling you get.
If you just want an upgrade over standard for occasional trackdays and road use I would reccommend the turbogrooves and yellowstuffs or turbogrooves and DS2500's.
Whatever route you go make sure you check the runouts during installation and take your time stress relieving them. Failure to do these are the biggest reasons people suffer with brake vibration.
Hope this helps
Steve
I have been using yellowstuff pads for about 6months now and think they are great value for money. No issues on track or road. Great cold bite which gets even better with heat. These are on standard brembo discs. They are much better than the standard pads IMO. Though for next year I will be going with ferrodo's.
I use yellowstuff pads on the track and they have been fine so far. For the money they were great value. They were a massive improvement over the brembos but I've never used anything else to compare it to. I will be trying ferodo's for next year. The yellowstuff pads were fine on the roads and only get better with heat. Really pleased with them on track aswell
I originally ran standard fluid and discs with ebc yellowstuff pads and I never had any issues doing 10 laps at a time. I now have motul rbf660 fluid and braided lines but haven't tested yet. The ebc pads will be going in the bin as they're not great. Probably Change to ferrodo's for next year. Defo sounds like you have boiled your fluid. The key to it is regular brake fluid changes. I never managed to overheat the standard stuff buy have upgraded just as a precaution as I slowly get faster. The zed is a great track car and built well for it.
Lol my signal is terrible where I am. Struggle to get a decent quality on even Clyde 1. The only ones that are fine are BBC radio 1+2 and galaxy most of the time. I think a stubble will make things worse. I like my flagpole, different from every one else
I managed with a fwd cooper s! Don't feel bad.
The roads are covered in grit and greasy now. That's why my car is off the road for winter.
Hope all ends well for you mate. You can only learn from mistakes
