  1. I miss chewin the fat infact i miss all of scotland! sod it im coming back up this weekend coming!!! here i comeee!!!!!! countdown = 5 days and counting
  2. ok both your sig and the TG girl was i not concentrating properly or did his passion wagon not have blue racing belts?
  3. its personal choice, just make sure you see the colour in the flesh first!!! very important. i ordered a car in blue once and it arrived and looked purply, i told them to take it back cos refused to drive round in a purple car. it seems they have you quite stuck on that one if you dont ask before hand the car didnt last long...
  4. its the racing belts that do it EDIT: sorry vik we are degrading your thread
  5. im useless at writing reviews i dissagree that was really good interesting stuff, i was looking at the RS before going for the Z (+putting money away for house ) glad i didnt, i had got bored of the family hatchback style with the st. that felt like the chassis was giing it its all anyway so i didnt see how the RS would cope. didnt test drive it as i didnt want to like it and therefor spend the money cheers for the review, was very informative
  6. I agree, there's a reason there's a rev limiter. Hitting the limiter in 1st shouldn't break the car, only increase wear. It's a sports car, drive it like one. but surely there is no point in hitting it as power has started dropping off, the only reason i could think to stay in gear and hit it is due to a corner meaning a downshift would waste time? but hitting the limiter in a corner isnt my idea of fun. ive never hit it before, come really close i assume but never actually hit it. its there as a saftey precaution for the engine not to be relied on as a driver aid? still accidents doo happen.
  7. They were lovely Was it just that was hoping the "little" person fell into the engine bay? What top gear where?? i was sucked in *drool* mmmmmmmm sorry girls
  8. it seems if i turn router off for sustained period i get it working for a little longer, makes me think its router related. tbh the freebee thompson router wasnt built to withstand the full on constant data stream going through it for the last week solid i gave my massive good belkin router to my mum and dad as i networked thier whole house with sockets and cat 6 cable. well new router tomorrow, a good one, im thinknig belkin as i know how to fiddle witht the settings for port forwarding etc. makes life easier i suppose. i have to say though the interface for the thompson was pretty good.
  9. i have to pull out my drive onto a bust 40 right next to a 60, so everybody is still going 60. its horrible listening to it as its cold, i just figure they cvan rear end me stuff them.. anyway top gear time!!!
  10. the heated seats have 2 different sizes of Led on the same board, whyyee. means im gonna have to go hunting for the right ones. what a pointless design... the ones i dont have are the tiny tiny tiny ones sigh, i have no idea what im looking for with them so its a research day tomorrow. also means after all the hard work im going to have to just put the whole thing back together. boo EDIT: after paying attention to previous post i noticed a helpfull comment sorry for not listening Pathfinder you have a PM
  11. just got it working after a while of it not playing ball the 2nd reset did not work. got a couple of routers lying about, one has no plug and the other is cable i'll go out and buy a new one tomorrow, i was planning on changing it anyway as i expected something like this to happen. free routers are the worst. cheers for the offer of the old one im going to need one pretty quick unfortunately so i will pick one up tomorrow. this is a pain in the a**e!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. right, this place is full of techy people so i thought someone may be able to help. backstory: just been on the phone to plusnet about my rediculously annoying internet cutting out hthat started today. cuts out every couple of mins for 20 to 60 secs then back again for a few mins then repeat process. after changing microfilters, taking pohone out socket, testing line, reseting, etc etc i figure it must be the router. it has the bradband light on but the internet light is intermittent at best. so plusnet are sending out a new one for me to try. in the mean time i have just put it on a bag of ice and its working more (but still had to try and post this 5 times before its worked), this as you can imagine has a limited time of operation before theres a large puddle they supply a thompson pile of s**te. anyone got any reccomendations for a good brand to buy, i have had belkins in the past and they have been good. im not to worried about cost but i dont need it to broadcast wireless down the street and beyond as everything is wired in my house. any suggestions would be more than welcome cheers in advance guys
  13. thats genius nurrish i agree with biscuit there are alot of people breaking them on thier 1st or second day of ownership..
  14. thankyou soooo much for reminding me i always forget and miss it
  15. i would have to agree this is an excellent way of doing it. So tonight i ventured into the realms of the heated seat controls. what a f***ing nightmare, crushed in behind the seat desperately trying to see what im doing, cursing away. i have a headache now and sore stomach muscles from the rediculous angle i was squished in at. im having a cuppa now they're out then to the soldering! used this btw http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21583&hilit=heated+seat+switch

mmmm loving the black roof such a nice colour too, im not jealous, honest
  21. I just go from one side to the other quite quickly a few times and pull at the same time. the other option is to add more solder to one side so it retains the heat longer.
  22. illiterat, illeterate, ilitarate, illiterite, illiterate, there we go. nah it was a typo not my spelling just incase anyone is struggling, i have prepared a translation should you ever accidentally set foot in the land of a chav such as this one. 23. thats brilliant mate, glad to hear im not the first to give it a go, so i know its possible I'll only be changing the LED's so hopefully it wont be too much hassle. going to have a prod about with the flat bladed screwdriver in a min then Hope i dont have to change the resistor value for everything else it made no difference due to some voltage regulator being built in. SMD resistor = pain in the a**e! I'll see how it goes. its not a bit you look at all that often so fingers crossed the light levels will be near enough right. Thanks.
