oh dear, i was just asking about the show cage to be on topic. it seems the general consensus is that a show cage doesn't suit the majority of tastes, this does not make it a bad idea as its all down to personal taste of the owner. what does make it a bad idea is the saftey aspect and possible devaluing of the car. if you can install one that doesnt leave any evidence and is completely safe in a crash then great, crack on Amongst the other bits in this thread, there is information explaining how dangerous it could be (valuable information)

After google-ing it tonight, its pretty complicated, but as is my understanding they use the horizontal and vertical lines of a crt screen, and also something to do with the white flash you get when you press the trigger- this highlights the intended target and the light sensor in the gun works out where you shoot. or something ...basically, old light guns dont work on any LCD scrren due to them being pixels rather than lines. ok googled it, thats a bit of a mind humper. i suppose you could simulate the line drawing etc on a monitor, maybe someone has written the software that person would be very sad indeed...

you cant open the flap from anywhere apart from the inside of the car so you shouldnt have a problem unless someones doing it at the lights
