    How an engine works

but its far far more efficient and can run clean i believe via photo-detonation, also it can run on a much larger range of fuels as it can achieve a higher pressure which allows less volatile mixtures to burn. correct me if im wrong as thats from memory. what do you mean by move away from internal combustion? you mean electric? we are so hung up on the internal combustion engine because theres so much industry supported by the demand for oil to run it.

    How an engine works

it is crazy as every other part, from the chassis to the fuel injection system, has gone through a complete change to something totally different to what was used 100 years ago when the heart of the car has stayed the same. If you google the quasiturbine engine you will find something that has been designed by a group of engineers that wiped the drawing board totally clean and designed a unique and extremely robust engine from scratch.
  3. Just thought this would be interesting to those non engineering types who have never seen an engine in bits or in CAD. Also its interesting to us sad engineer types. and if you ever wondered how utterly bonkers a W16 like in the veyron is, imo this is way off the layout but does show the number of pistons and the wacky amount of movement. heres a rotary engine like mazda's: heres a radial engine if you want to know how it works hope thats of interest
  4. that FTO engine bay reminds me of my old GTO one although mine wasnt as shiney
  5. agreed, that was the second one i watched, seemed such an easy effect to make aswell.
  6. im not thinking anyone will do this to a zed but found it interesting
  7. nice to see her looking quite stock mate especially the bonnet.
  8. Which is the highest point? the strut brace body or the bolts? i think the bolts if the bonnet is closing fine right know then it should be ok which the strut spacers. Infact i can fit the strut but it is in contact with the plenum and when i test drove it, there is a lot of vibration coming from it otherwise it held up to some aggressive a road hoon In anycase i will take anything that will do the job +8mm. Ah just remembered yours was similar! where did you get/make the bits ? mine is a bit of a squeeze but i think i used something like 7 or 8mm
  9. 10mm strut spacers may cause interference between the strut bar and bonnet better going for something a bit thinner bennet.
  10. nice job i've got the indicators in my new ones just need to decide how many running lights to use knowing the work that you have to put in, this is a brilliant price!!
  11. Dont write yourself off so soon i can see the topic moved reasons being a paragraph long
