i believe the weak synchros are actually 5th, 6th and 2nd normally Weak in what way? That they expolde & need rebuild or that they are slow to engage when pushing it on & really just annoying but liveable? from personal experience, annoying but liveable at first, it makes changing gear difficult as you need close matching shaft speeds not to crunch, untill they give up and its almost impossible to change gear without crunching. There are many perfect boxes out there though

I should have said that .... but it's not a big problem anyway IMO its a pretty huge problem unfortunately, now the general zed population is racking up more miles, more and more gearboxes are failing and needed replaced entirely. If they arent too bad they can be refurbed though so not a complete loss. im not trying to be the doomsayer of the zed gearbox but if it IS faulty then its not a cheap fix.

getting there but not yet no, hence just a preview. i'm waiting on new parts at the moment and need to do a ground up rebuild of the unit to sort an interference between the led mount support and the rear casing as the two halves don't quite mate properly yet.

i'm not going to make my own ones smoked, but it is very possible although would reduce brightness somewhat. cheers for the support guys

you can buy them from nissan for 35 quid if i recall. make sure you get the later, beefier ones which should be the only ones nissan supply, i dont know which ones you'd get off of ebay though, the older ones are weedy. its a really easy job to change them. you can climb under and have a good pull on your ARB to see if its noisy

when scouting about for some info on google i came across some forums with a system for "thanking" people. the number of times they were thanked appeared under their number of posts, seemed like it would promote helpful posts

keen eyes. the red LED's in that picture are only in the unit as a stop gap while i wait for the correct ones to arrive, i needed something in there to eb able to test the rest fo the circuitry in the mean time the fog light will be equally as bright as the reversing light which is very bright, infact i would hazard a guess i will need to add a diffuser of some sort to bring them back within the legal light levels as they may be too bright.

well not much use if your reverse or fog doesnt work continuosly and the indicator flashes the same as the stock indicator Yes it is indeed the lower rear light cluster; reverse, fog and indicator (both sides have all 3)

As some of you already know i have been working on a new project for a fair time now. The project has had its difficulties, mainly my fault as i'm a bit of a perfectionist, but i'm happy to say that it's starting to look as it did in my imagination many months ago. This is the 5th prototype of the unit and there are still a few revisions to be made before its ready to see the back of a car.
