  1. ...I just love it how Nissan GB seem completely clueless about their cars . If you're in communication with them also ask about pre-Connect Premium sat nav please .
  2. Ha ha, I know, I just think the asking price is rather optimistic (even for the gorgeous black edition). Bloody good if you can find a buyer though at that price. edit - ...or, you could buy this main dealer example with less miles...http://www.jfe-nissan.co.uk/used-vehicl ... ition.html
  3. £28,500 I know they're desireable but that's taking the preverbial a little. GLWS .
  4. Here's one to get you excited... http://afnoble.nissan.co.uk/used-vehicl ... 270631.php ...or how about a Roadster... http://www.bassettsgroup.co.uk/nissan_c ... i~1231.htm ...common as muck these Red 370Z'z .

    Random Qs

These questions have probably been raised before but I'm struggling to find them so thought I'd ask directly -: 1) On the Roadster, you cannot raise/lower the roof unless stationary, but I notice that smartTOP are now able to offer their 'enhanced' services (i.e. full operation from keyfob / raise/lower roof whilst moving / etc). Has anyone else done this to their Roadster??? http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/index ... iew&id=108 I know loads of people who have done this to their Beemers with no problems at all. 2) Excessive road noise. I've done a couple of short motorway trips now and really noticing the road noise (OK, being a Roadster doesn't help). Has anyone successfully addressed this issue - change of tyres??? 3) Quiet as a mouse??? I'm definately looking to change the exhaust BUT how will the effect the warranty. I guess the exhaust isn't covered anyway (unless it collapsed ridiculously early). Do I have no problems or does it depend quite how far you change the exhaust (sorry, not got the terminology quite right yet but there are various degrees of change that can be made).
  6. The quiet exhaust note of a standard car also helps to mask it's power pretty well. After my few weeks of ownership to date I'm still getting surprised how rapid it actually is. I only wish they'd done a black edition Roadster as I'd defo have one of those - I just love the black edition, and that dark red interior .

    370z hire

If the price is right you can borrow mine .
  8. Well, it's a car, it's going to drop in value full-stop. The question is, do you buy now, and it'll drop in value (but you've owned & enjoyed it) or wait and buy it for a lesser amount, then it'll still drop in value (and you've owned and enjoyed it for less time). I personally think they've already dropped like a stone. I may have dropped lucky but mine was 6 months old with 1,700 on the clock and I bought it for £13k less than the original sale price. Now, it's not going to drop like that every 6 months from now is it. If you bide your time, wait for the right car, get a good deal, then surely you'll be happy whether it happens now or in 6-12 months time. I can't see mind being worth much less in another 6 months time to be honest. Two sides to this story though. There are more silver cars because the ARE popular, less red cars because they are LESS popular. Being more popular could mean they hold their value because their are more potention buyers whereas a red car could lose value because their aren't so many perspective buyers. I was watching Z4M Coupes very closely before getting my 370Z. Red ones were worth about £2-3,000 less than silver or black ones. Wicked if you want a red one because you could get a cracking deal. Personally, I think the same with a 370Z, if you want a red one, hold out, and you'll get a cracking price. I should point out, I'm not having a dig at red cars, they are not for me, just basic facts - more people want silver than red (and you confirmed this my saying 'the market is flooded with them'). edit - just checked to see how accurate my statement about red cars was, on Pistonheads, out of two pages of Z4M Coupes, the three cheapest cars are all red - silver, black & blue are all commanding a higher premium. So, basically, I reckon for you, if you hold out for a red 370Z, you'll get a freakin' brilliant price. All good . edit 2 - just checked red 370Z's on Pistonheads. Out of 3 pages there is only one. Whilst not the cheapest it certainly isn't asking the premium the others are. A very good deal to be had I'm sure (not on this particular car as it's £27k now).
  9. I'd imagine you shouldn't have too much problem getting one for £20k or certainly not much more. Put it this way the cheapest on Nissan's website is £22,995 (without satnav) or £23,995 (with satnav). I just paid £23,980 for an 60 plate Roadster so given the right negotiation, or desperate dealer, surely you could get very close or on to your budget. Then there's private cars; this little belter has been up for sale for 3-4 weeks already and is under £20k now... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p I'd personally not bother waiting, get this one, and enjoy the summer .
  10. What, I've actually got to read it .
  11. I've only had my Roadster a couple of weeks but twice now I've got in (keyless), started the car (again keyless), pressed the button but the roof has refused to go down. Got out and checked the boot but that was shut. Drove round the corner, tried again, roof lower no problem. This has happened twice this week, Tuesday & Wednesday, didn't try the roof this morning. Not had a problem at any other time of the day, just first thing in the morning, not cold outside either. I'll keep trying it to see if it continues. Has anyone else had any recurring issues like this???
  12. Neal, thanks for all the info mate, I'm having your same thought process having had my roadster for a couple of weeks and wanting more sound, but not too much. Really interested in seeing the vids if you can get them up as some point. I need to do some proper digging myself. Stupidly, I hadn't realised the stock exhaust were oval , are all the aftermarket ones round (I've just checked and Stillen, Akraprovik & Blue Flame are round). Yours seem bigger, at a glance to the Stillen, is that true or just the photo?? Do you mind disclosing what you paid - for the exhaust, postage and import tax, etc???
  13. Thanks for the responses guys. I'll try to dig out my old net but really can't think where it might be. Think I'll end up contacting those chaps you mention (is the Roadster one any different to the Coupe ). As for the exhaust, I'll see how I go on, very nervous about making a change and it ending up being too noisey. Is there a rule of thumb on quietest to loudest - I just want a little more noise/bark but nothing to MaxPower ... ...does it go -: stock, blue flame, stillen and then Akrapovic or isn't it that simple (think I know the answer to that!!!). I know someone with an Akrapovic exhaust on a GTR and the price of that was eye-watering .
  14. Well that certainly suits my current budget much better . Your white Roadster looks awesome mate, seriously tempted by a white one myself, but chickened out and went more 'main-stream' . Need to do some more research on the options available which I'm sure will throw out more questions in time.
  15. ...so what can I say, well, it's a massive improvement over the 350Z's I've had before in both quality and power. The extra 'tech' in the 370Z is a welcome improvement (no tape player ) so loving the proper ipod intergration, etc. I can take or leave the keyless entry mainly because my keys are usually in my hand anyway so sticking them in a hole kind of puts them out of the way (as opposed to bulging out of your pocket) but I guess I'll get used to that. My only gripes so far are the quiet exhaust which I'd love to address but my bank balance has just been pounded so might keep my eyes pealed for a used one (which I guess are as rare as hens teeth). Also, the position of the rear-view mirrors, make it extremely hard to see what's coming from the right at a junction or roundabout - I'm having to crane my neck around it or peer over it sometimes - maybe my seating position is wrong (or I'm just a short-arse ). Apart from that I'm chuffed as punch. One quickie - I want a cargo net for the rear - is is the same dimensions as a 350Z Roadster??? I can't find my old one but remember buying a peugeot one previously (I think) which fitted a treat and was much cheaper. What have you guys done, if anything??
  16. Copied from the 'introducations' section in case you guys don't pop over there much but thought I'd say hello directly to you 370Z guys... Greetings all. I've just taken delivery of my 3rd Z-car. I've had a 350Z GT Coupe (05 plate), a 350Z GT Roadster (08 plate) and now just bagged a 370Z GT Roadster (60 plate). Got an amazing deal on it so couldn't say no. I was trying to be sensible and was hunting a facelifted 350Z GT Roadster but got swayed by this beast. Was delivered to me last week and loving every minute of it (bar the quiet exhaust note which I'd like to address once the bank balance has suitable recovered). Anyway, here are a couple of piccies...

  19. Oh, nice one, really appreciated .
  20. Hi guys, newbie here, hoping to do a proper introduction later today if I get chance. My 370Z Roadster arrived yesterday so am keen on getting a tax disc. BUT, cheeky git request, I'd love one that just has '370Z' on (i.e. same as style 2 without the Nissan on). How easy is it do slightly amend your existing design??? If it's any trouble at all then don't panic as I'll just go with the style 1 instead. Just thought I'd ask .
  21. In the second photo is 'Bruce Dixon Self Drive', a quick google shows this being in Bognor Regis - my guess is this car is still nearby?? Still a bargain at that price, even with the 'old fashioned' tech. If I'd have seen this last week I'd have made a cheeky offer on it (since I didn't my 60 plate Roadster arrives on Tuesday!!).
  22. I've seen that car online as I've been looking recently for a 370Z (now awaiting delivery ) but I actually quite liked that car (bar the number plate surround). Now, I'm not into modding in the slightest, but do quite like white cars with some carbon bits and bobs. Yes, the front skirt/grill might be a little over the top, but generally I think it's relatively subtle. If you like to seperate yourself from the masses (which driving a 370Z already does in fairness) then this one ticks a few boxes. Wouldn't buy it myself though .
  23. Found out the car was only registered in September so is on a 60 plate. It's not 12 months old yet so service not due. Finance forms signed, deposit paid, just waiting for confirmation of when the transport company will deliver it (likely to be Monday - I'm away until then anyway so could be perfect timing).
  24. Thanks. I'll take this up tomorrow. Problem is, the car is staggeringly cheap (and I mean staggeringly cheap), and I know they're at absolute rock bottom already. The car is in Northern Ireland and I'm obviously not so getting it transported over here. I've knocked them down on cost but couldn't get them to fund it (to be honest I'd easily burn my way through the £220 quoted on flight/ferry/fuel so I'm quite happy with paying). No movement on tax either so I've gotta pay for the lot. I reckon I can safely argue that the service should be included though as it's from a main dealer so should really have been done before sale anyway - thinking about it, I've not checked, it may already have been done, but will find out. It will cost them bugger all though. I really should have gone over anyway to sign the finance papers (should be done on-site) but persuaded them that I can easily sign them at a local Nissan dealer. I know the Sales Manager at Westway Manchester so they forms will be faxed to him in the morning and I'll skip over and sign them. Sorted. I'm away this weekend so reckon my new toy will arrive on Monday . Starting to get a little excited .
  25. Could anyone confirm this point. If that's the case then yes I'll be asking in the morning. Thanks chaps .
