  1. Recently taken off as I've changed cars, 2.5 years old, been on for 10-15,000 miles. I've received quite a bit of interest so thought the fairest route was to use eBay. Reference number is 171306680035 and the starting price is £450. I hope this advert is allowed but just trying to be fair to all members. Any questions please PM or ask openly here. Thanks. Roger
  2. Stillen now off the car and cleaned up - it's not actually as bad a condition as I feared. Decided to place it on eBay as it seems the best route to getting a fair market value. They're few and far between it seems and I've had quite a bit of interested. I'll place it in the classified's section in a mo.... eBay reference ' 171306680035 '
  3. I was really shocked actually. Just shows, when I first put the Stillen on, I nearly took it straight off as it felt so loud, but very quickly I adapted to it and it just gave the car its bark back. Grown so used to it it was quite a shock once it was off. I can't say the rusting has got any worse since the last time I was under the car which is a good things - why they didn't use SS welds I'll never know. I've not got the exhaust back yet, it'll get dropped off my ATS tomorrow probably, so will have a go at cleaning it up and then circulate photos to everyone who's asked
  4. OMG, how bloody quiet is the stock exhaust!!!!!
  5. Thanks chaps, I've already arranged for it to be taken off first thing tomorrow, so will get it up for sale soon together with some updated photos. A friend runs an ATS so will collect the stock exhaust first thing in his van, I'll follow, get it changed, then he'll drop off the Stillen. I'll then be able to assess the rust and get it up for sale. To save pm'ing everyone I'll flag up when I'm ready to sell it. Soooo busy setting up my new company right now changing cars has been an unwanted chore but finance ending forced a change.
  6. Any thoughts on value for the Stillen? Think eBay is the best choice but can stick on here too.
  7. ...a barely used OEM full exhaust for a 370Z or a used Stillen Exhaust system? The OEM exhaust has round 5,000 miles on it and the Stillen more like 15,000. If you remember I've had problems with my Stillen so has rusting on the tips and on some of the welds underneath. I'm about to trade in the Zed after 3 very happy years ownership and not sure whether to just send it off with the Stillen still attached or swap it back to stock and try to sell the Stillen. I should point out that, whilst there's rust issues, the Stillen still does exactly what it should do. A bit of TLC on the tips will see a great improvement. Thoughts anyone. I'm not banking on mega bucks for either but something would be nice to offset the carbon goodies I'm about to order for the new motor! Cheers.
  8. Orange on the LCD. Maybe I should have explained that (it's the only oil light Ive seen!!).
  9. Light just needed resetting. Doh.
  10. The manual says warm! Caveat - pretty sure it does.
  11. Was warm when tested, level surface, and temperature reading seems fine (will double check tomorrow but certainly not noticed anything high). Booked in 8:15am Monday.
  12. I don't actually know what the level was initially, a bit stupidly I know, just assumed it'd be low as I'd not topped up for a while. I'm caught up in a legal battle at work trying to exit which kind of lowered the priority of other things - trying to find a level surface & the time to fanny about under the bonnet has been harder than you'd expect!! Serviced in September/October so oil change seemed unlikely at the time. Will call the dealer this morning. Thanks.
  13. So, oil light was on, ordered some Fuchs from Opie Oils. Light had been on for a little while (problem with supply) and was in a hurry one morning so bunged 1 ltr in until I had more time to check what was needed. Oil light has remained on ever since. Checked the dipstick & oil it at the max. marker. Sometimes looks over but reckon that's just residue. Thoughts as to why the warning keeps showing every time I start the engine? Have I ballsed up & possibly over filled it - would that give the same warning? 60 plate car, she turned 3 in October last year, nearing 20k on the clock.
  14. I'm still surprised that have an aerial at all in the 20th Century!! A nice shark-fin (ala BMW) would look perfect or just run the aerial around the front windscreen like a 2003 Ford Mondeo!!!
  15. Thanks. I'll give them a shout.
  16. Oh, that silver one is nice. Seems to tone things down a little. Lovely. I'd take a white one too though
  17. Live near Stockport (South Manchester). Work in Wilmslow.
  18. My front right tyre has prematurely worn and recently needed replacing so want to get a full geometry check on my car. Popped into a local ATS as they check it for free (and a pal works there so can oversee things) but their fancy computer didn't have the settings loaded in for the 370Z. ATS can't correct any issue but will provide a print out for me to take elsewhere. Anyone else had their geometry checked, if so, where?? Thanks.
  19. Looks epic. Didn't know you'd ordered one. I've got serious new car envy right now, one pal picked up an M6 Competition Pack yesterday, another gets a M5 today, and another gets his C63 AMG next weekend. Now you've got a Nismo - arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - I feel like a right pauper!!!
  20. Surely the width of a Zed can't be the only decision to offload - it's hardly the widest of cars - if you meet another car in most vehicles you'll be stuck on a narrow road (unless you get a bike!). Best of luck with the sale, any trade-in I've ever received has been a ****-take, but maybe my expectations are too high.
  21. ...I do keep looking at Z4 35is's but can't get one as a manual (in fact there aren't any DCT's either). Then again, with a growing family, a 3 series coupe 330d manual is perfect but decent ones are few & far between. The longer I wait the closer to a new 4 series I'll get or even, if I get my own way at work, a lovely 997 . We'll just see how it all pans out.
  22. My passenger window catches the edge of the fabric and wears a hole in it. Impossible to repair due to its position so a complete replacement required. They've tried to realign the window, wasn't perfect, but better, but then air started whistling in so window put back. New hole reappears. I still absolutely love the Zed Roadster but must admit it's getting a bit tiresome and the worry of no cover after next month does concern me. It'll just get chopped in for something else at some point and, so long as there isn't much of a hole, no-one would ever notice - sounds harsh but I've done all I can do - it can be someone in the trade's problem.
  23. I'm in the middle of talks with Nissan regarding this as my warranty expires on the 17th Sept. They confirmed the 'fabric' isn't covered under the extended warranty (didn't mention the mechanicals). My car is currently under investigation. I left it at Westway Nissan for the last 10 days whilst I was in Cornwall for them to do what's necessary - returned to be informed their warranty man was on holiday so nothing has been done - useless f*cktards!!! They serviced it and sorted my MOT though. My third hood is showing very early signs of wear and, at a cost of £2.5k to replace the fabric, wanted something doing. Nissan HQ's response was to take it in now and get another new hood (my fourth) even though it really doesn't need doing yet - I just wanted an assurance they're replace it in the future when it really needed doing (bearing in mind I might change my car it's likely they'd never need to do it!!) - they didn't seem keen on this apart from mentioning that they may consider a goodwill gesture at the time (nothing firm though). So, looks like 4th hood it is over the next few weeks, and doubtful I'll take out extended warranty as it's a fortune. The drama continues...

    Brake Upgrade

Alex, interested to hear costs if you're happy to post, my front & rear pads need changing so canvasing about for costs. A cheeky upgrade whilst at it would be of interest too without getting too carried away. Any idea of costs of getting someone to fit them would be great (not doing it myself!!). Cheers.
