Sometimes insurance qoutes are just bonkers. I showed two qoutes I had recently one for my modded Zed valued at £10k and the second a standard GTR valued at £30k. The GTR was £500 cheaper than the zed!!

Have you tried Sky or Chris Knott? They are traders on here, a lot of people use Admiral though on here and get good qoutes. Suppose it could be based on your postcode as well.

Couldn't you just use a tyre calculator? They usually only need to know the size of the rim (i.e. 18"). Then you cal play around with widths and profiles so that you remain within the 2.5%. Whats your aim with the new tyres, just having more options?

Do you need two guys sat in your boot while driving on the road as I am not sure my mates would be best pleased with that?!?

you will get possibly get that a lot. I tend to just pull really slowly and not even bother with them. I know which car I would prefer to be driving. Gains are hard to get when staying NA with the Zed, you will need an uprev after your mods are fitted to see the most benefit so you are best to fit all your mods then get it tuned.

I have a K2 with a Japspeed Y pipe but some people have had fitment issues with K2s recently. Scorpion would be a good alternative to that. Can't help you with the window issue I'm afriad. 2nd gear can be notchy until properly warmed up and nearly every member on here has this 'feature'!! You will get used to it. The Zed is a heavy girl and not really a 0 - 60 dragster, its a GT car so you won't ever be the quickest off the mark. Power through the gears is nice though.

Plenum spacer gives you a little more mid range grunt. Abbey, RS Tuning or Horsham are the only places that can tune the Zed. Exhuast will all be down to personal choice and budget, so many options!! If you just want a drop in filter you can get a cosworth one, or a totally different intake system if you choose.

Been trying to download that myself but I cant run it. Will try starting in safe mode and see if I can sort it that way.

I am having major problems with my laptop. Its only started today and I don't seem to be able to open any programs as anything I try to open I get a warning saying its infected. I have tried to download to anti virus software but once its downloaded It won't install as a warning comes up saying its infected. Everything cant surely be infected and especially something freshly downloaded. Anybody got any ideas what I can do, really hoping its not a wipe and reinstall job!!!

Looks like a front splitter and the side skirts look like Nismo skirts but I am not kit expert compared to some so sure you will get a definitely answers soon.

You would be surprised with the companies from here. Mods don't cost too much more and if you are planning on modding anyway its going to be the same. Your main mod for gains is going to be the UpRev which is £400 so if its already done thats £400 towards your insurance. Maybe try getting some insurance quotes first and see what the damage is. You would be far better off with a members car as it will have usually been looked after properly and they will have used parts from traders on here.

The answer is yes you would just need dyno time as the initial cost is for the license. Sure Mark will confirm though.

Colour is always going to be personal, nobody but you can answer that one. There is constant battle on here about the best colour and everyone picks their own! Therefore Gun Metal is the best. To be honest if you like blue or black, if you can get rid of the Astra you can't go far wrong with Ian's car. Plus the majority of the engine tinkering you mentioned has already been done and you would struggle to get anything more without going FI. If your budget is £9k and thats for standard it will cost you a lot to get gains on top of that through modding yourself. So to get a ready modded and tuned car for say £9.5k (thats an example, not the price of Ian's car as not sure what he wants) it would be more cost effective to spend the extra £500 as an initial outlay. If you speak to some of the people on here they will have spent £££££s (I would tell you my costs but I might cry if I add it up!! ). Just my opinion and something I would look at if I did it all again.

I would also be wondering about how strong they are against a side impact. Surely can't be as strong as a standard door.

None of those are for the 313 though as they are all DE and not HR engines. Unless I am missing something?!?
