  1. Yeh I only found out when I was pulled over (and I wasnt speeding....!) I asked the copper if he had a reader in the car and he kindly obliged in testing the windows... when he saw the fronts were at 32% he was suprised due to the legal limits so he tried it on the windscreen and that was 31%.. he then tried his to make sure and it showed 34% on his volvo... tut tut tut!! I think if you do go darker with a 60 to 70 (inc the 30% already on!) on the rear sides and rear and if you can get another 10% on the fronts it will flow nicely That sounds good, however, surely any movement on the front ones makes them illegal!? What's the legal limit on the back ones? Thanks also for all the other responses. Yeh as Ian said, no limit on the back and rear sides but if you went to 40 on the fronts you may get away with it... What annoys me is that you see footballers and celebs pulling away in their RR's with a police presence around them and they are running limo tints and no one seems to care... you do it and get pulled and your requested to remove... +1 such BS need to invent some kind of lcd tint you can turn on and off. pigs come by you flick it off then soon as they leave black it back out !
  2. +1 on check for not so naff looking springs , failing that get it on a clear level surface measure the clearnace and post. then we cna simply check.
  3. oh that bit ! not exactly sure but definalty sub £100 although personally id not bother and just gets ome carbon wrap on there much cheaper and will just the same.
  4. +1 white imho is the best colour for carbon and tinting as you get a great contrast go for it !
  5. if your asking about front splitters mine was £300 - minus envy xmas discount for theyre own brand veilside and well worth the money ! go for a gen veilside and £550 seems the going rate same kinda money for the varis , dont even ask how mucha real mines is ! the seibons go for mid 300's to £400
  6. thye dind indeed change somthing about the pin out but you can still get el chepo ones that work fine . really hate paying the money they charge for the apple stuff , im not mean just hate paying way over the odds for an apple logo !
  7. ah this may help .... http://my350z.com/forum/forced-inductio ... ation.html
  8. i think your going to have to go custom bit of pipe to move it down the front i sure ive seen it done , .
  9. bet the waiting for that spacer is agonising ! top working doing it all yourself but pllleeease reloate that air filter as soon as you can it looks so crushed in there not tomeantion filthy ! cant wait for the first start vids !
  10. ah thats the same loom i got ! as i have been trying to explain (quite badly it seems ) the third and so far unused connector is the the oem steeringwheel that needs to be spliced with the 3 wires youve got hanging out of that little black box, you should have instructions on whihc wires to splice. there is also an extra ground wire that needs to go to the bodywork somewhere mines on the little metal brace that heater controls mount too.
  11. i looked into one of these too ... funkpower.co.uk sell them for about £800 but a couple of members seemed to suggest a not so hot service although i have no experince mys elf so cant say for sure. Adam @z1 gave me a good quote that inc postage and paying tax (@old rate) came out about the same so if you can get the postage down would be worth it. another thing to consider is the pipe diamter is alittle smaller than the usual 76mm so most Y pipes wont be a pefrect match (still work but big pipe to small pipe wil occur) so you may want to throw in a tanabe y at the same time.
  12. But nothing fits into the 1 white bose in the first pic. what do you mean another earth I no pro as you might guess. yeah there will be one that you dont plug in to that what the bare wires coming form the steering wheel remote interface connect to.
  13. ok so you have the 3 from the bose , 2 go to the new loom and the head unit the last one goes to the remote interface part and unless you got lucky youve got 3 bare wires . the new loom wiht remote interface should show whihc wires to splice for the remote. the rest just plugs in. edit... if your getting no power have you got the ignition fully on ?? if so and still no joy the looms are either not configurd right oooooorrrrrrr you need to add another earth.
  14. probably becuse it easy to write , fit dash back in just clips there than actually wedge all the wired back and line it up etc etc!
  15. probably my fave front bumper but as you said the price of a proper one is just waaayy to muhc for most to stomach. dont shine auto do a decnt clone ? sure ive seen these on envy but i could be wrong. edit just checked and its n2 must be a good n3 rep out there though.
  16. after reading some threads on the forum i put in a order for the ones above they look like a good bit of kit, i wish i good get some of the top of the range ones but i just can't justify paying £400-£560 on front door speakers!!! thanks for the advise peep's dont blame you id love to be able to have that kind of speaker but liek most people my ears couldnt justify it. keep us posted on your progress should be a very sweet setup.
  17. nice amp , personally id go with one more meaty sub and bridge the channels on it as it will take up less of your boot space but i guess thats down to tastes etc
  18. from envy by envy £295 when i got mine - xmas discount. heres a close up .... and a wider shot , same as 3fiddyZ
  19. one set of 6.5 inch rainbows just dropping in to your budget .... http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/rainbow ... eluxe.html but as above most rainbows are onm the high side of £300 , have alisten first though as you may not like the sound. Also if your gonna spend that kind of cash on some quailty speaker what amp you got in mind to run them ?
  20. having got my envy Veilside rep front lip fitted i think its probably th cheapest/ most effective way to make the car stand out . done lots of other stuff but none really make it shand out , the carbon lip does though !
  21. yeah had the thump for a a while , reset did nothing . luckily im pretty experienced with electric motors so pulled mine apart and recond it(stripped motor completly and cleaned with motor cleaned ect etc) in my case and probably your the brushes had clogged and wre not always springin into contact so the thump was just getting them free each time. follow one of the guides and it should fix it , takes while but well worth the effort.
  22. might want to look up the Xo2 on my350z , quite afew on there have it and seem happy wiht it .
