I did my headlights last weekend using T-Cut ... It's a lot easier if you use the Megs metal polish as metioned though ...

I've got the same ticking sound coming from under the throttle body area too ... I've changed the fuel pressure regulator and it's still there ... Maybe it's worth getting some diagnostic work one before coughing up for the regulator as it might not be the problem ...

There are two: One to the left of the engine which is easy to spot, and another which is located to the back of the engine, under the throttle body ...

It's a really common problem .. I've had it on my Zed since I first got it but I don't even notice it these days ... It's not a major job to repair but replacement CV joints aren't cheap ...
