  12. About time this thread was up! lol I'll post more pics tomorrow after I get me wheels! ***NEW PICS*** Thought I may as well add my new pics here rather than umpteen posts of my Z pics
  13. This maybe sucking eggs a little bit but I though it'd be worth sharing my experiences buying, & fitting of my new "eyelids" I've always loved eyelids on Z's. They were high up on my mods list but have always been put off at the fact of trying to find someone to paint them for me. On a club member's suggestion, I searched ebay for pre-painted ones. I found a seller on there called "led4you". They claimed the lids came in a choice of 6 'standard issue' colours. Le mans Sunset, Daytona Blue, Super Black, Chrome silver, Pikes Peak White (WOOOO!) & silverstone. This was concerning me a bit as to my knowledge, the above colour name's are different to all the Z colours I've heard of! Apart from PPW obviously hehe. I got an Email later on that day saying my item had been dispatched! Very impressed. Anyhoo, this afternoon it arrived (not bad considering they came from across the pond) & naturally I got stuck in straight away! Packaging - Pretty good. Both lids were individually wrapped in a plastic sleeve to stop them scratching or chipping against each other in transit. They were them placed in a packaging cardboard box which in turn was in a sturdier carboard box (pass the parcel much! lol). After I got through the layers (I was seriously like a 10yr old at christmas!) I calmed down to remember to make sure the colour was a match. I was highly impressed to see that it's nigh on perfect! They attach to the headlight by wrapping around the top of it & slightly down the insides. I can only presume this is so you get more surface contact to make it more secure . . . . which is always nice . . . . They're held in place by a healthy amount of rather strong double sided tape. Before removing the tape covering, I wanted to check the fitment. . . Happy with the fitment, I removed the tape & worked them into place. They were a bit funky to get it completely right & took a bit of titivating but I got there in the end. And viola! The end result! I don't know about you but I'm Suggestions, opinions & comments welcome I highly recommend this seller, & the product is brilliant too. The postage was quite a bit, but worth it imo.
  14. Have seen that before, but is bloody good! You can tell the "city boy's" adrenaline was pumping when he got out of the car, voice creaking like a 12yr old!

    Wheels & Rubber

I'm no expert on modding mate, but for £500, it's going to be slim pickings . . . I'm currently closing a purchase for £900 on some 2nd hand 20" Finichi Rimini's. I believe Husky's selling some rather tasty alloys . . try there
  18. Lol, I was playing civpop for you lot when on SPTA just after Xmas! Don't suppose you remember a bunch of "Farmers" around one of the FOB's do you? We were rather annoying Lost quite a few of the 33 lads when you were out there didn't you? Glad you're spending your LSA on something useful

  21. Think I'm going to do that lip spray to mine Next week now!
  22. I was (sort of ) in the same boat Pete. I love the Z but I almost have to give up everything just to own it. I bought it so I could mod it. I couldn't afford to mod it so I thought, "what's the point in keeping it?!". After telling my missus about me need for new tyres, how much they'd cost & how much more I'd need to get a decent set of alloys, she's now lent me the dosh to get some nice shiney new wheels (a week today until I get them!! WHEEE!!!) & a few more mods that'll really make me want to keep it! lol Anyhoo, my advice would be to have a gander at a few mods, speak to some of the members on here (Chilli Red & ZMANALEX to name but two) about mods & customisation work. There are so many different high quality mods out there for this car (I know this as I've seen the crap out there for other cars, my old 1992 Vauxhall Calibra to name but one! ) & you can make so much more of it. It's such an eye catching car as standard but with a few hundred quid & a bit of TLC it can be something really special
