1. You have gone from one end of the scale to the other buddy! For 13.5k you should be able to get something post facelift (06). Some dealers seem to have not cottened on to the fact that 350z's like most other high end cars have had alot of their value knocked off due to the credit cruch and such. My advice would be to test drive one (anywhere) to make sure you like it. Once that is done that its just a case of finding the right car. It helps alot if you are willing to travel.
2. I was shocked the first time i drove the car in the rain. SO MUCH noise. Should there not be some carpet there or summit. I hate the fact that the Z loves to be gunned! But i hate the greedy gov/oil companies more!
3. Your best bet getting an 09 for 13k would be to take that money and pay a hoodie to steal one for you! I just bought an 06 for 13.5 and i am pretty sure i got a very good deal. PistonHeads is a great place to look for a Z.
4. I am in the same boat as you mate. I am 23 and just changed from a Ford Puma to a 350. Every time anyone in my family speaks to me about the car they always finish with "Well, just be careful!!!!" Saying that, i did turn the ESP off today and went round a corner in second. I almost shat myself. i will be leaving it on for a while me thinks!
5. Was it you? If so can you tell me where is the best place in reading to get a 350 serviced?
6. If you have the two cars in your possession, does it cost £80 to do the swap?
7. There ya go buddy http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=23116
8. Thanks. Will get some photos up soon. Should be picking it in wed or thurs. its gunna be a very long few days.
9. Just to let you all know that i will def be joining you. I viewed the car today, loved it! Put a deposit down and will be picking it up next week. The car is in great condition but just to make sure it is going into nissan for a check over before i transfer the full amount. I cant wait to get my ZED!!!!!!!
10. As always thans for the help. Will let you know how it goes! Slight rant, forgot to mention to the insurance company that a girl had gone into the back of me last year when i was at a round about. Totally her fault and her insurance paid for everything. But it still push my quote up by £100!!!!! Insurance companies are con artists!
11. well, it has more then double the miles so £1200 less would seem fair. I drove an 04 on sat (Not looking at buying that one, just wanted a test drive) and the gear changes seems to click into place, but some effort was required. Is that normal?
12. Yeah, as far as i can tell the service intervals were all done right. I asked if he minded if i got the RAC or some such to inspect it and he said that was no problem at all. The only warranty issues that i have seen are the clicky axle and tyre feathering. Am i missing some?
13. yeah, i didnt think that they had dual zone?!?! There seems to be a real range of prices around. There are some great deals to be had but also lots that are £2k more then everyone else for no real reason.
14. By this time next week i hope to be the proud owner of my own 350z. I have got a good insurance quote (£1095, not bad since i am 23 with 0 NCB), got the money sorted and have been for a test drive. Loved it!!! All i need to do now i find the right car for me. I am going to see this one on Sat ( http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/944752.htm ). From what i can tell its a great car and the bloke selling it seems to be a top guy. Is there anything that i should be check around that milage, it had its P3 at 36K but was just wondering if there is anything else i should be aware of such as breaks or clutch? Thanks
15. I bought a Samsun NV3 a few years ago and it fantastic little camera. Takes great photos, is very easy to use and very well made. On our new years party last year, one of my house mates dropped it into a full pint of Beer. I left it to dry and the next day took the casing off to give it a clean. The part of it that was damaged was the lens cover. So i logged onto ebay and bought the same camera for £10 (it had been run over, the screen was cracked and it didnt power on) and took the lens cover out of that. Works perfect ever since. Anyway, thats a bit off track. The replacemwent is the NV4 which looks even better. Thats prob what i would go for. http://www.samsungcamera.com/product/pro_view.asp?prol_uid=4149&cat_uid=75
16. Also going by the fact that there are no buttons on the steering wheel, its not a GT.
17. thanks for you replies, i think i should get about £10k off just becuase i would have to go to Northern Ireland to pick it up!!! I am not looking to buy for another couple of months, but there is no harm in looking for a good deal. I might find one that would be rude to turn down.
18. Hey, Was just having a look around PH and spotted this. Looks like a great car but i think it might be over priced. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/953157.htm Would anyone agree or am i expecting too much? Thanks Steve
19. Sorry if you have seen it, had a quick look and couldn't find it.
20. Hi Mate I have not sold from there before but i have bought ticket from them a few times. Every time i have the tickets have come in a seatwave packet so i would say you send it to them. I am pretty sure thats how it works as they are meant to guarantee and check the tickets before they are sent. Hope that helps Steve
21. Thanks for all your welcomes. I had a look at insurance last night and on the recommendation of the site gave bell.co.uk a go. Got a quote for £1010, which is great. Was also having a look on piston heads (where you can bye a 1979 Batmobile!!! http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/830051.htm ) and came accross this: http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1009943.htm Seems too good to be true. any of you guys know anything about it? The reg is FP06 ZPX. Thanks
22. Looks like i might be joining sooner the expected. The above mentioned puma does not want to live any more. Just got home from work to find one of the wheels totally flat. Took it off and there was no evidence of a puncture, but noticed that the alloy itself is no longer round. Means i will have to get a new wheel and a new tyre. Strange thing is I have no idea how that happened to the wheel, it has never been kerbed and since the puma is an old lady now I have been very gentle with her
23. I do not, i am 23.......... I also lost my NCB last year (not my fault i would like to point out. Apparently mopeds do not have to follow the highway code!!!) But then again I bough a Ford Puma when I was 19 and paid £2200 for my first years insurance!!!!! Are there any forum members that live around Reading?
24. Wow, quick replies!!! I am based in reading. Good to see about the MPG but dont get me wrong, i am not planning to be crule to the car and make it sit a 70 for its whole life. Just wanted to make sure i wouldnt be paying £150 a week just to get to work! Have been reading up for a while and am planning on buying in the next few months (have been on a debt clearing mission since the start of the year) so now i that i have some good news about the mpg i will have to find a sensible insurance quote!
